I haven't drunk soda since the beginning of December and even then it was only have a can I split with a wrestling buddy. We both regretted it later the next day in practice... Shit fucks you up more than you think, empty carbs are the devil. Fuck soda. Drink fizzy water if you need the fizziness. Soda should be a once in a while thing

Well we are going back to school and I can't help but shudder at the thought of being taught by idiots again.
For a while I have plain out refused to do work just because I can't handle the lack of information they give you past the blatantly obvious.
There is zero involvement of students who sit there and do nothing, which explains why they're grades are atrocious by nation standards; which in turn are atrocious by the worlds standards. It's pathetic.
There should be a involvement of every student in the room, calling on kids who are twiddling their hair will help them in the end.
Another thing I can't stand is (for most teachers) They think they need to put on a show! They do a fucking half wit comedy routine to humor the class. You don't need your students to like you, you need them to respect you. Even if they think your a little strict. Only one of my teachers has met my criteria of what a teacher should be like.
My french teacher.
She comes into school 5 hours early after a night of working on the work for the day.
She has a website registered just for student use for grades, updates, extra help, games, and printable worksheets for the entire quarter. And in class she involves everyone if they don't get it she teaches them. And she lets us reflect on things that don't make sense before elaborating rather than zipping past it.
How do you guys feel about YOUR school system or that of your country.
The Christmas vacation has come to an abrupt end. I'll be going to school today..
At 12/31/12 09:29 PM, GumDisease wrote: I also forgot to ask, which version of flash should I get?
I was thinking CS3 because a lot of people say nothing was really added for animators since then, and that it tends to crash more past that version. I'm not sure which to get tho.
I use Cs5.5 I used to have CS3 but I upgraded,
On the subject of crashing...
CS3 crashes just as much as CS5 imo (in my opinion) however, CS5 has a nifty auto save feature BUILT IN to the software.
Alternatively you can download a saving feature into cs3 but it's a pain in the ass.
Tell me what you get and if it's cs3 i'll provide you with the tool.
At 12/31/12 04:10 PM, Lepy wrote: Oh, and definitely build up a list of your FAVORITE animators and watch their stuff OVER AND OVER. If you can, you could even right click on the Flash and hit "Play", which'll pause everything, and click forward, and you can go through each frame of that animation. Oh, and buy their merch. And just strive to be as good at content producing as they are.
I agree completely with this, it's helpful if you take notes on some of the stuff in the cartoons and use the knowledge in your animations. One thing I'd suggest is no matter how bored you are DO NOT watch amazing cartoons while animating it makes you reflect on your animation and really make you doubt yourself. (Maybe it's just me)
Oh and save save save save your projects, flash is quite the bi-polar.
On the basics
It's helpful to get a couple books on the subject, I know there is a free version of animators survival guide.
... Here it is
If you can afford Adam Phillips tutorials that would be quite the advantage in your efforts.
Link
It's helpful to get your anatomy down before jumping into animation and get a pretty solid art style.
Also do you have a tablet?
If not..
www.wacom.com
Amazing tablets as low as 70 dollars I believe, the Bamboo line.
I currently use the Cintiq 12wx

I'm starting to draw backgrounds and animate the final version of my animation.
I may need some voice work done so stay tuned :D
I think my part may be a little dark humor wise but hey this is Newgrounds yeah?

Buy the bamboo and use the excess money on a Microphone, some animation books, and maybe one of those little toy models you can pose with. (Don't have one) but I feel like that would be an amazing tool to have at your disposal. ;)
I'll provide some minor animation since I abandoned this a while ago and I thought this would be amazing finished.
Still I have limited time and just got ungrounded from my laptop...
I'm just such a rebel..
I think this topic should be closed and the OP can re-post his request correctly.

It's all about taste I suppose. In terms of anime I dislike it for the plot lines and lack of frames (Kind of looks like they animated on fours or something) In the animes I've seen. I don't enjoy watching them with the audio on haha. But the art in anime is stupendous. I think Pokemon has the worst plot lines imaginable but the backgrounds look pretty sweet haha ;)
Western animation that is on TV is terrible imo.

The sun moves awkwardly and there isn't really anything significant about your animation.
Also the way you type dude... If it's a keyboard problem get a fucking new one, or use an on screen keyboard.
At 12/8/12 01:20 AM, Lepy wrote: But of course, if you have the cash, definitely consider getting an Intuos or a Cintiq. I often hear that Cintiqs improve your art and make drawing / animation a LOT easier and faster. But they cost like, $1k, so it's out of most people's price range.
I own a Cintiq 12WX, It's so beautiful!

Lol I don't get how to order the supporter upgrade with store credit it asks for credit card..
At 12/6/12 12:42 PM, ReklessCreati0n wrote: How's wrestling and caressing other men coming along Jom? err and your part...
Wrestling has been getting pretty intense.. Practices are hell and matches are crazy.
And Wrestling is only caressing other men if your not aggressive lmao. Most people on our team go straight for shot as soon as the whistle blows. Our match on Wednesday just about everyone finished their matches in less then 10 seconds, which is really impressive.
And my part is lagging behind but I'll make something short and sweet. I've been so exhausted lately and i'm failing 4 classes..
I'm also working on an animation for school, it's supposed to be a powerpoint, video, oral presentation, or a skit/song.
This collaboration is definitely one of the things I'm watching very carefully while I juggle everything else :(

I'll put my animation skills to the test and whatever else is needed and such.
Just a friendly ask that is all. :)
Of course it is okay with me :)
We have a little over a month too finish this up so you should be able to make something stunning!
Can't wait bud thanks for joining!
