Anyway, Iggy had a momentary lapse. He's far from the hard sell-outs. But still, he could have done it with better class, Dylan only sold out to Victoria's Secret.

It's the G.I.F.T.

Anyway, yeah. It allso depends on the pllatform. Forums are pretty bad, but try debating on, say, comment section, chatrooms or imageboards, things move so fast, the slightest consession is interpreted as giving up. That kind of debate only retards everyone to the same level of shouting buzzwords.

They say trends do not support the evidence, so we're going to have to lie and put out fake numbers.

No they don't.

This is just brutal. The entire Al Gore Church of Climtaology is coming to its knees. And it really is a church. Al Gore sequel to An Inconvenient Truth will focus on the "religious" aspects to how we should save the planet. This is getting out of control.

Tell me again, who profits from this? Aside from Al Gore getting money for hiis movie, sure.

Of course there's a risk, but that doesn't mean expolitation is fair.

Pu-lease. What a joke. Seriously, over 99% of beating competition is not done through child labour or other "unethical means".

Welll, then there's also saturating the market so that you force everyone else out, which is just Might makes Right. Just because most people buy from you doesn't mean your services are best, only that you sell the best.

And on other unethical measures, I',m talking about things like outsourcing to subcontractors, tax evasion, unecological pratises, stomping unions etc.

And besides, can you name a system that works better.
I mean, it's not as if there's been any exploitation or use of "unethical means" by communists now, has there? >_>

Because all leftists = Soviet Union and China.

I want a more just system that starts from restricting business.

Ah, but in the justification of the timme, the slaves weren't people, so they didn't deserve equal rights.

Similarly (but not directly analogous) is the capitalist idea that those who are poor deserve to be poor and those who are rich deserve to be rich.

There is a truism that goes "There is no such thing as a honest millionaire". Do tell, if you know someone who got capital R Rich by their own hard, honest work alone, without: a) inheritance b) luck c) exploitation of other's weakness.

Besides, I'm not actuaklly for a completely state-run planned economy; I'm not a Soviet Communist, I want a more just system that doesn't benefit the greedy and ruthless. Capitalism rewards those who are the least ethical; if you stop to think wherther or not it's right to, say use child labor, the person who has no moral dilemma over that takes that niche, and lowers their production costs and gets past you in the competition.

Operative word "official channels". No cloak and dagger shit. Note also "bad behaviour". Do you know this Saiers personally? Are you acquianted with his work? Why do you take at face value that he's just some martyr for your cause?

"Gene/Caspar, Good to see these two out. Wahl/Ammann doesn't appear to be in CC's online first, but comes up if you search. You likely know that McIntyre will check this one to make sure it hasn't changed since the IPCC close-off date July 2006! Hard copies of the WG1 report from CUP have arrived here today. Ammann/Wahl - try and change the Received date! Don't give those skeptics something to amuse themselves with."

"try and change the Received date", they're just cleaning the edges, because they know the climate sceptics, like all tinfoil hats will cling on to the smallest inconsistency.

"Yeah, it wasn't so much 1998 and all that that I was concerned about, used to dealing with that, but the possibility that we might be going through a longer - 10 year - period of relatively stable temperatures beyond what you might expect from La Nina etc. Speculation, but if I see this as a possibility then others might also. Anyway, I'll maybe cut the last few points off the filtered curve before I give the talk again as that's trending down as a result of the end effects and the recent cold-ish years."

Note the word "speculation".

Anyway, I'm not a climatologist, so I don't know that much about the whole decline thing. I will have to asks someone I know about this. But so far, i don't see damning evidence of a grand conspiracy.

Using your rather inelegant simile, your lot would rather arrest someone who shouts "I did it" for whatever reason (such as completing a task they've been working on for a while) near a crime scene.

What you are doing is known as Quote Mining. Because damned if you care what code he is talking about and what sdecline and what he means by "trick" or "hide". They're scary words and can be taken out of context.

Also, you still fail to explain, how, even if these said scientists allegedly hid data (note that those messages date back around ten years), this all went unnoticed by the scientific community at large until now?

Welcome to debating with conspiracy nuts 101. Your logic is no good here.

But lets make the following clear to nay-sayers:

When you publish a scientific study, it will be peer-reviewed which means people with expertise on the field go through your research and see if they can find faults in it. That's their job, to see if it's on solid ground. For a forgery to pass through the process would either imply gross incompotence, or a conspiracy among scientists

So we are left with three optiions:
1. The entire climatologist community are incompotent fools led by the nose by these few scheming neferious researches after monney and reputation
2. The etire scientific community is united in a grand conspiracy
3. You are reading way too much into a few emails taken out of context using specialist jargon

Yeah, let's see what Occams razor says.

Well, if you're talking about the devout rastafari of Jamaica, they don't actually listen to any secular pop music, just their own holy songs. And most of the 12 Tribes Rasta are more into rocksteady and classic reggae.

Dubstep is named so because it is derived from dub reggae, incorportaing the sound to a more modern tempo. Wherther or not rastafari listen to it is completely irrelevant.

This.

Also, aside from the premise being utterly ridiculous, Meyer is also a really, really bad writer; she doesn't know how to construct a dramatic arh, she can't create proper conflict, she writes flat characters, who are also either author inserts or wish fulfilment.

Similar crap fill the bargain bins and sci-fi/fantasy sections of book stores. The difference is, that Twilight, instead of getting what it rightly deserves ("50% off" price tag), it, a subpar piece of shitty genre fiction is sold in stacks in the middle of respectable book stores.

I have a moral objection to Twilight; it gives a really warped view of love. Innaccuracies conserning the already-contradictory vampire lore is reallly a secondary concern to me, and Edward's masculinity (or supposed sexual orientation which i really would want people to stop using as an insult) are just non-issues.

What are issues are the creepy stalker thing, the bad writing (lack of real conflict, purple prose, flat characters, obvious author insert/wish fullfilment), the stupid abstiencce only message, and the ABSOLUTELY BATSHIT INSANE vampire pregnancy bullshit.
