My art has been developed through my flaws. My flaws and disadvantages in how I have created what you see today. It has been a long time coming to get to this point. Many years and many art classes invested. The key is, don't let your flaws damage you. Work around them. Use them to your advantage. I can't draw like the others. I will never be able to. But that is okay. I had made my art my own and I draw to the best of my ability. That is all anyone can ask of me. I will say it has taken me MANY years to be able to accept myself, my work, and my art.

just finished this at 11:45pm. started it around 2pm. Was an all day project. I didn't even bother to count the hours spent on it. I obviously had breaks in between.

It's also posted on the art portal and my blog/page.

Longtime lurker since 2007. Started adding my art to the portal I think around 2010 or so.

I was checking out the posts on here from the other artists.

I'm not here to glamorize or sell you something you feel is utter crap.

Going to keep it short and simple. If it's up your alley check it out. If not, then don't waste your time.
Can't please everyone. That's art and that's life.

I've kinda always felt that words can be hollow unless you can back them up. I've seen a lot of critics on NG over the years.
I don't mind being critiqued, but you better be able to one up me then.

Believe me, I've seen your work and I know damn well you can all one up me :-P

I've been viewing newgrounds since as early as 2003-2004. I finally became a member on 2007. In 2010, I finally started posting my art on the art portal.

What brought me to newgrounds in the first place was the funny user made flash animations. When I started on newgrounds in the earlier days, there wasn't an art portal to speak of. It was just mostly a dumping grounds for flash animations and games. Over the years, I can't tell you how many flash animations I have seen, liked and favorited on this site.
The only draw back now is the commercials. I don't feel like paying to be ad free though. So I just wade through the ads.

I have seen some users sprout wings and fly off to youtube from here. I occasionally follow them on there to see what their new work is. There is some amazing work on here.

For all of you fantastic artists and animators, I hope you get great gigs, lots of work and commissions, and just have fun doing what you love! You do a great job!

Also, the quality of the work of the submissions on here are getting better each year!

So in the past like 5 minutes after recently submitting some new art to the art portal, I have been unscouted, scouted, and then unscouted again. I was just curious as to why this keeps happening? Is my art hated or offensive or deemed unfit so I am being kicked in and out repeatedly? I don't get it... I chose to submit my art to get other people's opinions. What am I doing wrong?

I appreciate decent, mature feedback :-)

For the past 3 days I have repeatedly tried submitting new artwork to the newground art section, however I keep getting "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error". I don't know how to remedy this problem and was wondering of other artists are having difficulties submitting art as well?

My image file uploads fine and I am able to crop the image for the thumbnail veiw, and able to fill out all the tags and description of the art piece, but when I click submit, I just get the same error page.

I appreciate any advice or feedback!
