I'm going to go with my gut and say they are planning a new Smash Bros. game. I just have a feeling they will announce it like in the next 2 years.
As for a new fighter, I say Sonic's alter ego, the Werehog (whatever the fuck it's called) from Sonic Unleashed. I think it makes sense since that version of Sonic is more of a fighter if you played the game. I would say Shadow/Knuckles/Tails and Waluigi but that would be too much.
