Saying that this is clearly a mutual thing. While that doesn't excuse the actions of the teacher, who should know that what he was doing was illegal and professionally against every rule in the book, it does mean that the girl has not been kidnapped in reality. Just in the eyes of the law.

I don't get why people are saying he's abusing his role as a teacher. If a college professor dates a student it's not a big deal because they're both adults, there's no rule that says a teacher can't have a relationship with a student. There's nothing more to it than age.

This guy should be arrested but I guess the laws in France are different than in other countries. This guy is considered a predator in every other country that I know of.
