Did you read the different forums that you could have posted this in? One of them is flash.. this would belong there.. but if you go there, you'll see a sticky stating to read it before posting. It explains how to get flash and stuff.

2) Don't capitilize every single word, it's annoying.

Response to: Format change Posted August 24th, 2006 in Programming

You need to disable extension hiding that windows has turned on by default.

- Open the Windows Start menu
- Select "Settings -> Control Panel" to open the control panel
- From the "Tools" menu, select "Folder options"
- Click on the "View" tab
- Under "Hidden files and folders", insure "Show hidden files and folders" is selected
- Insure "Hide file extensions for known file types" is unchecked
- Insure "Hide protected operating system files" is unchecked. Note, Windows 2000 will display a dialog asking for confirmation. Be sure to read and understand the information contained in the dialog and then click on "Yes".
- Click "OK" to complete the changes

If your talking about what i think your talking about, a space is

Better explained, if you write it will be parsed as a space because it is the HTML entity of the space character, just as < is the entity of < etc.

Response to: Some Specific Free Software Posted August 17th, 2006 in Programming

Just as an FYI, whenever I have software-related questions, I ask in general, and I have ALWAYS gotten at least one good answer quickly. While you're logic was correct in posting it here, it makes more sense to post it there since, while there's less a chance that there'll be people that know about how to create software, program, etc., there's a high chance that there will be people who USE software and know a lot about what software is good and stuff.

So you should usually post these kinds of questions in general.. even though I got answers here already.

In order to use this, it must be a SHTML file. Instead of using .htm or .html, make the extension .shtml

Response to: exporting .fla into a .GIF ? Posted August 14th, 2006 in Programming

Wrong forum, this belongs in the FLASH FORUM. How does this relate to programming at all?

I'm still gonna tell you what to do so you don't have to make another thread about this.

1) File>Publish Settings
2) Put a check next to GIF
3) Click GIF tab
4) Push the radio button for animated
5) Set the pallette from Web 216 to Adaptive
6) Click ok and publish, if you clicked ok first, go to File>Publish.
7) Navigate to the directory that the .fla file is, and the .gif will be there.

Response to: Whn did you loose your "virginity"? Posted August 14th, 2006 in Programming

I had been using computer for a long time but my "virginity" of programming was lost because of a friend of mine.

December 31, 2002 (New Year's Eve) - My friend, Brooke, told me about a website called Neopets.com. She told me that it was a really fun site. I revoked signing up to it, but she eventually convinced me to. After about a week, I was really enjoying the site. After about a month, I was addicted to the game.
As time progressed, I began to learn a lot about the game and found out a lot about computers. On Neopets, I found an HTML tutorial that was for making your own Neopets personal "pet-page". I found HTML very interesting and got really into it. I was quite naive back at that age and wanted to make HTML my career, hehe.

A year or so later, I got out of Neopets and computers in general. I forget why, but for some reason, I got back into computers and I got into Flash and ActionScript, I was hanging around the LegendaryFrog forums because that's what got me into Flash. After a while, I came to Newgrounds where I had had an account (that I made a while before for no reason).

And eventually I've been led up to where I am now.

Spammy.. I told you you'd feel guilty. After a while, people will just forget about what you did.. you should just build respect again and continue helping people like this never happened.

There's no point in holding a grudge against spammy if he appoligizes. That will only form hate and make things worse and could have an impact on sometime in the future where someone has a question and if spammy hadn't "quit", he'd be able to help this person.. but he had "quit" so this person couldn't be helped at the time he needed which could have been something important to that person.

Bleh, grudges will just lead to negative consequences.

It gives a screenshot of a page in different browsers. This way you can make sure it looks the same in all browsers.
