I think it's possible for the combat to be improved without sacraficing the feeling of being an average guy who's picking up a gun for the first time in his life against unspeakable horrors. The combat had always worked for the setting, but I wouldn't say that it was ever good.

Have you ever blasted Knights of Cydonia while playing that level? It makes it even better.

Gunstar Heroes has a bunch of excellent stages that never get boring. The mine cart stage is excellent and culminates in the amazing Seven Force boss battle. Then later on there's an excllent sequence that starts when you enter the flying fortress. It's just an epic boss-stravaganza where you take on the ship's core, then you go up against all the main bosses from the first four stages in entirely new forms one after another before finally fighting the final boss. It's truly epic.

Yeah, that goes well with Nintendo's simple console policy. Only people with large rooms can play, then you have to pay $500 for cameras that can recognize complex human movements, then you have to spend an afternoon correctly positioning them around the room. Sounds like a winner to me.

They were deleted by a mod, what was wrong with them I can't say, but if you're threads are getting deleted you should lurk around the forums more to get a grasp on what is and isn't appropriate.

It's not completely cancelled, Peter Jackson has gone on the record as saying that it will eventually be made, but it's hit a major roadblock so there's currently no work being done on it. I wouldn't expect to see it out within the next year.

It's a scientifically proven fact, when you try to add a little humor to an internet poll by adding a goofy option that no one in their right mind should ever select, someone will invariably choose it. If they put up a poll that asking "Who should be the next president McCain, Obama, or Adolph Hitler?" you could bet that people would be choosing Hitler. Hell, he might even win the poll.

No one actually wants Shaq-Fu on the virtual console, it's just that the poll is completely meaningless so they choose to pick the response that makes them laugh.

Topic: This Game Simply Looks Amazing!

Posted: 08/05/08 02:24 PM

I don't mind if some kid doesn't use commas, my grammar was pretty atrocious until I went to college and it was necessary for me to relearn how to write on my own. What really frustrates me is that somehow it became common practice to use an ellipsis in place of every comma. Even when my writing ability was at its weakest I was disusted by my friends who would write that way. People are making their posts look like they ate a book and shat out periods all over my computer screen. I can somewhat under why someone would turn "your" into "ur", but it's not even more convenient to use an ellipsis over a comma.

Of course there's never going to be a proverbial "best game ever," but that doesn't mean we can't all list our personal favorites, have a little bit of lively debate, see where our opinions overlap the most, laugh, love, and learn a little about ourselves. Stop being so critical of the concept and submit your own list, it'll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

It's not always a rip-off. I remember that Civilization 4's special edition came with a whole bunch of neat extras (tech tree, music CD, fancy box) for no extra cost.

Well, the gigantic board of completed and available missions has 400 spots so I assumed from the start that there are four hundred missions. It seems odd that they would leave so much open space. Even so it don't think it accounts for clan trials and battles against other clans in your territory so even after 250 official missions you've been through a decent amount of battles that haven't been accounted for.

This is one of those times where I wish I had a DS.

Is it really that great?

It's not going to win anyone over who hated the first Tactics Advance. The fact that a lot of the graphics and music are straight from the original sort of underscores the fact that it's just a refinement of an already winning formula. That being said it's definetly does a damn good job of polishing most of the first's rough spots. I called it quits after finishing FFTA's main storyline, but I'm having enough fun with this one that I'll definetly try to get as close to 100% complete as possible.

To download and play the Pokemon World Online game you must also download and install Zango. It's free and very easy to install and will give you access to the full game.

Nothing that has been prefaced by that has ever been good. I guess it might be decent, but it seems very amateurish, I wouldn't expect much.

Do you have the AV cables from a SNES, Gamecube, or Wii? They should all be backwards and forwards compatible, much easier than what you're trying to do.
