If your 360 is actually working again you may be fine, for now. When your graphics card frys the screen will turn into a blocky green mess and there won't be any coming back. Not even if you get on your knees and ask Jesus as kindly as you can. All you can do for now is just play it and hope it doesn't get bricked right before a game you really want comes out.

There's now a difficulty that's "Easier then Easy" (wonder how that's going to work)

It's basically all open strums so you'll ignore the frets completely and just hit the strum bar along to the rhythm. Basically it's a mode for infants, grandmas, and quadruple amputees.

I'm really impressed with how deep the song creator is coming out to be. It seems like there are plenty of ways to efficiently lay down a rhythm and then edit it to your heart's content. I'm looking forward to making my my own songs and downloading an endless stream of user content. Just as soon as the day one ham and eggers who spend five minutes making the HARDEST SOLO EVAR!!! calm down and the real gold starts coming in.

I remember the videos, it didn't work for shit. All the people who tested it out were having trouble getting strums to register consistently and all the songs came out choppy. Even the guy demonstrating it had trouble. I wish they'd stop slapping the Guitar Hero logo on shit like this, it's starting to get embarassing. I guess it could be worse, they've yet to come out with Judy Nails bobblehead statuette.

It's a horrible example of ignorant white kids making light of something they don't fully grasp, but me and my friends used to always have a player named 5n*****s in any old FPS. The joke being that any time you were killed by that player the game would inform you that were killed by 5n*****s. It probably doesn't work anymore now that most games have stringent obscenity filters so I never actually took it online, but it's the most I've ever laughed at a name.

The fun looking, classic style stages show in the trailers are actually infrequent "dream sequences" that occasionally break up the meat of the game which happens to be a Sonic themed dating simulator.

Game of the year.

It looks a lot like the Sonic/Shadow levels from Sonic Adventure 2, the only parts of the game that I enjoyed. If they've been emboldened by the Sonic only Wii game that came out recently and are expanding those decent Sonic levels into an entire game then Sega might just have something decent on their hands. Of course, that just means they've finally gotten around to making the true 3D Sonic game they should have made a decade ago.

I still don't trust Sega to pull it off though. I'm sure the were-hog aspect of the game, and anything else they try to shoehorn in, will be hamhanded and the story will have all the tact and grace of a one legged mule suffering from a case of explosive diarrhea. I'm not saying I don't want to be proven wrong, I've just been waiting along time for Sega to show me they still have a decent Sonic game up their sleeves.

I dunno, I think all of those are easily available if you really want them. I think I've seen every Mega Ten game currently sitting on the used shelves of my local Gamestop. You have to go even more obscure for a last-gan console. I remember seeing this bizzarre remake of an old arcade game for the PS2 a while back. Every time me and my friends saw it we'd joke about buying it because it was a mash-up of horrible early 3D graphics and live action actors, plus it came with 3-D glasses. I've been trying to find out more about it ever since Gamestop stopped carrying it and I've yet to have any luck.

We can't, apparently it takes a month to bring over a game that's already completely programmed and in English.

I guess it just takes a little time for them to recoup the development costs and prepare to launch over another entire continent. You Europeans just get to use that complaint all the time and I just wanted to try it on for size.

I'm not buying any more maps for that game, I bought the first map pack, which was apparently ok, the Legendary map pack apparently was shit, so I didn't buy it.

Really, I thought Heroic was a pretty great map pack. My first impression didn't leave me awestruck, but once I got over the fact that they're not meant to be revolutionary I found a lot of specific qualities that I love. I've played some of the most intense sniper battles in Stand-off, had some one the most entertaining vehicular combat in Rat's Nest, and Foundry is just great to fuck around in even if they should have had something like it on disc at launch.

That being said, I don't like them just slapping together a new coat of paint on old maps and charging me ten bucks for them. I waited for Heroic to be free because I thought ten bucks was a rip for three new maps. I'm sure as hell not paying for a rehash.

I remember that one. I know it was just a handful of minigames and you could probably find the equivalent of any of them right here in the portal, but the presentation was just dripping with humor and style. I'm sure I'd scoff at most of the zany gags nowadays, but back when I was fourteen-ish it was fresh and hilarious. It also had the benefit of a disturbing "back massage" stage which still ranks as one of the most memorable gaming moments of my life. Plus, and I know I'm going out on a limb here, it had the greatest use of Japanese ska in any videogame soundtrack, ever.

It could be neat if they tied customization to the games you played. If I played Halo, achievements would not only increase my gamerscore, but unlock Halo themed items that I can deck out my avatar with. I guess it's not a terrible addition, but there are still other updates I would have preferred.
