I was thinking the flash would be getting front page.
And so were the winners.
Oh well. This'll do! I was hoping everyone would get a little more exposure.

Finally got a good workout set up!
It's a double three day split.

Day 1: Legs/Lower back
Romanian Deadlift 4 x 6-8
Squat 4 x 6-8
Leg Curls 4 x 6-8
Leg Extensions 4 x 6-8
Standing Calf Raises 4 x 12
Seated Calf Raises 4 x 18

Day 2: Push! (Chest, triceps, front/center deltoid)
Flat Bench 4 x 6-8
Incline Bench 4 x 6-8
Flat Dumbbell Flyes 4 x 6-8
Decline Bench 4 x 6-8
Overhead Tricep Extension 4 x 6-8
Deltoid Lateral Raises 4 x 6-8
Flat Bench Burnout!

Day 3: Pull! (Back, biceps, rear deltoid)
Bent-over Barbell Rows 4 x 6-8
Pull-ups 4 x 6-8 (assisted at the moment)
Chin-ups 4 x 6-8 (also assisted; I have a weak back!)
Curl-bar 4 x 6-8
Preacher Curl Burnout!

Repeat.

I've been sort of working out since March, but until the past couple of weeks I've pretty much been stupid about it. After a lot of research, this is my current split. I also do 4-6 sets of crunches on those six days a week.
I'm taking Muscle Pharm: Assault as my only workout supplement, aside from Muscle Pharm's Creatine on my off days and some whey protein.
So far, so good! I'm bulking, and I'm excited to see where this goes.

To greatness!

Was wondering if it was better to do resistance first for about, let's say 15 minutes, then do 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity after.

Duration of exercise: 30 to 45 minutes

Objective: Maintenance

All depends on what you're looking for!
If you're focused on muscle, then spend a lot more time on resistance followed by cardio. If you're focused on fat loss and general cardiovascular health, do that first.

You will always be tired by the end of each workout, so you may as well prioritize accordingly.

Personally I put cardio on the backburner. If I still feel like moving after I've finished all of my weight training, I'll start in on it. But it's not honestly that important to me.

Fit it to your goals!

It would be something to keep everyone warmed up and in contact between now and the next VAC. I figure I could test it out with all of you since it'll be the first time for this. Basically, I was thinking of doing something similar to one of the "pass the flash" type collabs. I don't have it completely fleshed out, but I wanted to see if anyone would be interested. :) let me know!

Dude, count me in! I think we could have a lot of fun with this.
Also, everyone remember to go vote five again. We're so close!

I'll take it!
Congratulations to the winners, and a great job to all the rest! A lot of great submissions.

Let's see those scores, Broseph!
I'm really interested in seeing how I can improve my performance. Other than spending more than 15 minutes on a submission and not overloading the microphone and proooooobably actually taking time to write a decent piece.

Congratulations to the winners!

And, I loved the concept of categorical awards.
However, I'm not giving anything away.

Go watch it!

Response to: What does root beer taste like? Posted June 6th, 2013 in General

As you can probably tell, root beer isn't for everyone.
Regardless, you really should try it.

Different brands tend to have different flavors, some of which are significantly better or worse than others. Some taste like black licorice, whereas some taste like vanilla.

Once you've tried root beer, try cream soda. Similar taste, but a little more friendly to the masses.

Anyone who says they HATE a generic pop group due solely to the music they produce is fibbing a bit. There is always an underlining hint of jealousy that they won't even own up to themselves.

This, precisely.
I will openly admit that I was among those kids when I was younger. At twelve years old, it only made sense to talk smack on artists whom the girls were flocking to.

But it did not, and will not ever bear any fruit. All it's going to do is make you look like an ass in front of the very people you're attempting to sway. If something is popular, you likely have no reason to hate on it. Usually things get there for a reason - whether it directly appeals to you or not.

Though I will say that I tend to balk a little when the ladies talk about Channing Tatum's body. Trust me, I can appreciate a hot male bod, and I will agree with you 100% regardless of how straight I may be.
But he's just not that attractive. He's not unattractive either, but certainly not what people perceive him to be.

Honestly, they're not my cup of tea - but you'll find most of the seasoned population here won't have an issue with them.
Hating groups like that is, to me, a thousand times worse of a fad than liking them.
Sure I don't listen to them personally - but why should I hate on them just because they're popular? They've struck a good nerve in society, and people enjoy them.
Furthermore, they've got some catchy tunes. Again, not exactly my thing, but I can appreciate the value in their vocals and their music.

I suppose that's my take on it. If you like it, listen to it. Share it. Enjoy it.
If you don't?
Don't worry about it. There's no reason to spend time raving about how silly someone is for having different taste than you.

I'm not sure. Maybe neither.
I'm thinking more like a classical/contemporary mix.
Like the style is more classical than Glee, but with a common audience as the primary demographic.
But I can't exactly speak for him. I haven't gotten to talk to him about it on Facebook yet.

Response to: Legs! Posted June 4th, 2013 in General

I've always loved legs, and usually liked the thicker, more muscular ones (within reason).

My girlfriend is Asian, and in her case that means a complete lack of calves.

But you know what's weird?

I really, really like them. Maybe I'm just in love, but I've never been more attracted to a pair of legs in my entire life. Nor a butt. Nor breasts. Nor a stomach. Nor. Anything, really.
Come to think of it, I never thought a woman's lady bits could be attractive either, but hers make me wanna bone, man.

Long story short, I think I've found my soulmate.

Adam is starting a Newgrounds (though not limited to it) choir, for at least one song as a collaboration, and I thought some of you mic'd up folks might be interested in the concept.
I'm definitely going to be a proactive member, and I'd encourage all of you to give it some thought!
I could fix the pitch for those of you less tone-savvy folks, if you'd like. Haha

Whether we're supposed to or not, we all do.
I've got accounts spanning from '04 to '12.
Sometimes just to mess around, sometimes because you're embarrassed over something you've done, sometimes to do something new without it reflecting on another account.
I have accounts for a few different mediums, though I plan to start using this account as my mainframe from now on.

Don't worry about it. I know it hurts, but she's messed up. Truly messed up. You've done what you can to help her, but she doesn't want it. She's seeking short term affirmation from someone whom she feels she needs to impress, and that's what she's going to do.
You were always good to her, so she doesn't feel the need to please or impress you. You're a tool for her satisfaction when her target is too far to chase.

We've all been there. From the best to the worst of us, we've been there.
This doesn't mean the douche always gets the girl, nor does it mean you shouldn't be a little more careful.
All it means is that you were looking in the wrong place, and it wasn't meant to be. She's not good for you, and she never will be - no matter how much you cared for her.

So give her up. Let her sink in the shit she's swimming in. If big girl doesn't want her floaties, so be it.

Find some other friends, and let a new relationship happen naturally when the time comes. Take up a new hobby, and work at it. Maybe make it into a usable skill.
You've got some time on your hands that wasn't there before. Use it.

Let the loss take its toll - don't ignore it. But don't dwell on it either. You're covered in the shit she dragged you into. Yeah, it'll smell less if you ignore it and let it dry - but you're still covered in shit. So look at it, know that it's an issue, get a little upset that you let yourself swim in someone else's poo, and shower it off little by little.
I promise you'll be fine in time.

It's the Blue Knight! Surely this title implies that his color is blue, yes?
Nope.

The Blue Knight is red.
