The store! There were so many shirts I would have loved to purchase, as well as the occasional mystery box, stickers, posters... I have like 8 NG posters in my room, as well as a few calendars. My laptop has a NG logo on it.

I had a lot of fun with the chat - the Radio Chat in particular - because you could interact in real-time on a slightly more personal level than the BBS provides. You could just talk to people with similar thoughts and interests and ambitions, and it was great. I made several great friends that way.

I also kinda miss the design that preceded this one. There was something... cool about it. Sleek. It was simple yet distinguished. That said, the newer design is pretty dang snazzy, so that's not a complaint by any means.

But hey, no use living in the past. Although I really, really wish I could continue to purchase Newgrounds merchandise, I still love this website as much as I did ten years ago.

I've started a lot of cartoon ideas, songs, voice acting compilations, etc that I never saw to fruition. With cartoons, it was my lack of spatial intelligence. With songs, I would lose interest. And voice acting without a cartoon is... Less enjoyable.

Here's an example of a little acapella song I started to have fun with.

Or this little theme that I began for a guy creating a cartoon called "8-Bit Thomas."

Or this bit from a series of shorts I was writing about a fictional family of pills called "The Pillsons."

Or when I provided some vocal clips for a game app some dude wanted to create that never happened.

Or this educational parody of YMCA I had only a few hours to create to encourage kids to read more books... I guess.

Come to think of it, nothing I ever do goes anywhere.

This really does look very enticing. If you decided to continue it (or really any project), I'd love to provide my voice.

If you're asking me if I'd fuck a trap:

Maybe

Primarily transsexuals. Someone who has received operations to achieve the physical identity that matches their mental identity.
But, you're right, there really is a lot more to it than that. Like dating a man with a vagina, or a woman with a penis, especially if they're not interested in any hormonal changes.

Response to: Preroll Ads in audio submissions Posted June 8th, 2014 in General

The sentiment is nice, but there are two primary issues:

1. The Pre-Roll ads are Pre-Roll. Audio tends to load at a much faster pace than a flash film or game. It would just be a huge annoyance to users who want to support the audio portal, and consequently discourage traffic.

2. Most developers barely make any money on movies and games. The chances of making a pretty penny from the Audio Portal are... not so good. Even the top producers wouldn't gross very much.

I honestly feel like it would do more harm than good, sad to say.

Response to: Other forums? Posted June 8th, 2014 in General

There are other forums????

For the most part, I don't really participate in any forums. Hell, I barely participate in this one, and Newgrounds is a massive part of my life.
I do, however, read through forums for various info, especially in regards to Asperger's and other shit I've got in my brain.

Would you date a transgender? Posted June 8th, 2014 in General

Awhile back, a friend of mine asked the group whether or not we would be willing to date a transgendered individual. Responses ranged from "Fuck that!" to "Maybe?" but were usually siding on the negative.
Personally, I was a little shocked by my own response. I'm a pretty big advocate for LGBTQDIA, but I hadn't given this particular question a lot of thought.
Would I date a transgender?
Truth be told, if I knew that a woman was once a man before I'd developed any interest in her... I don't think I'd be too inclined to explore that option. Maybe that's because I want kids with our faces. Maybe I'm just too straight to imagine my woman as a former man. Regardless of my reasoning, I was taken aback.
Of course, there are exceptions. What if I'd been dating her for quite awhile, and had developed significant feelings for her? Honestly, love is love. Attraction is based on sexuality, but love is not. Without that initial mental block of "This is not entirely a woman, and she does not have ovaries," all I really know is that I'm looking at a beautiful woman with whom I get along wonderfully. Once you begin to fall in love, who they once were physically should not have any bearing on your feelings. So, yeah, I'd move full speed ahead. I mean hey, we could totally have sex without contraception. And frankly, a person who has gone through an eye-opening experience like that is likely to be so much more dynamic than your average Joe/Jane.

So here is my question: Would you date a transgender? Would the circumstances affect your decision?

Response to: TV Shows that made you cry Posted June 8th, 2014 in General

*SPOILERS*
I was very sad in Breaking Bad, when his family begins to hate him. Knowing how deeply he cares for them, how much he's sacrificed for them, and seeing it all come to the worst possible end. The phone call with Skyler, in which he pretended to be abusive right in front of Walter Jr. Holy shit.

I can't recall many other circumstances in which I nearly cried, except the end of The Road *SPOILERS* when the father dies.
The son woke up next to his father's lifeless corpse, in a world in which there is no solace, with no one else to turn to. Just imagining finding my father dead, not having a chance to say goodbye... Wow. And for this boy, his father was his entire world. I was nearly moved to tears.

A pop filter basically blocks the air when you make your P's and whatnot. You can make one yourself, but it's easiest just to purchase one with your microphone.

It isn't necessary, of course, and I often neglect to use mine. However, it does tend to improve the quality of your recordings.

and thanks a ton :D this place is so nice. first theres a person who is happy to give me advice on using a music program (FL Studio) and now you a professional voice actor ^^ this is just great! let me know if I can help back maybe, idk xD

I am anything but professional, but I do know a thing or two about the trade!
The Snowball is very likely your best bet for the time being. It can offer clear, perfectly usable vocals despite a very low cost.
If you want to upgrade sometime in the future if/when you're making money off of your projects, or have found that this is a hobby you'll continue for a long time, that's great! But it's best to start small and efficient.

Like I said, feel free to PM me with any questions. I live to serve!

Response to: Is your girlfriend fat? Posted June 7th, 2014 in General

My ex-girlfriend was the opposite. She was very, very slender. Usually I'm not as attracted to girls of that type, but physical attraction is really only the initial part of a relationship anyway.

I kinda have a thing for thicker girls. That said, I like a person to look healthy - like they take care of themselves. If she's at a healthy weight for her structure and genetics, it probably looks good to me.

Compliment the poster above you. Maybe you like their icon, or their sig. Maybe you've seen them around, and you value their input or sense of humor. Maybe they're artists, and you enjoy viewing their contributions to one or more of the portals. Maybe you've seen them naked, and they had a seriously rockin' bod.

Every month, I purchase $150-200 in supplements from Bodybuilding.com.

It sounds silly and excessive, but I figure it's the only hobby I spend anything on - and it's stuff like protein and nutritional stuff, so it really enhances the way I feel day-to-day. This stuff pulled me out of years of chronic depression. Or, the lifestyle in general has I suppose.

I graduated on May 17th. It's really very strange, because nothing feels different. I didn't have any sense of accomplishment, nor closure. I barely feel the loss of the people I may very well never see again.

The only real difference is that the impending anxiety of making something of myself in society is at its peak. Gotta go to school, get a degree in something I don't hate as much as other things, then work at it until I am no longer physically capable.

I'll probably still do my best to pursue voice acting, but the likelihood of my success is so negligible that I refuse to put more than one egg in that basket.

Anywho, congrats to all of you! Hopefully you're all more optimistic about the future than I am.

I have this tendency to record the voices for stupid little shorts I come up with, then neglect to find someone who can animate them properly (My drawing is poo), so they just sorta rot.

I have the Bluebird, which is very similar (though $100 more), and I have to admit that the screen does almost nothing. It is still very important to purchase a popfilter to complement it. They're only like ten bucks anyway.

As for quality, if you're willing to shell out a little more, the Spark is a great choice. It can be a little tinny, but it is essentially a professional microphone built to be inexpensive. Since you won't likely be doing any major league stuff, though, it would almost be too extravagant.
