I love to voice act, and I'll contribute to any project with a smidgen of promise.

Right now the three best examples of my voice (I REALLY need a new demo reel) are a recent audition based on another guy's script:

  • 8Bit Thomas Audition
    8Bit Thomas Audition by Himynameisjacob

An audition with way too many voices.

A demo reel, consisting of things I did with my old microphone around age 15:

My Blue Yeti broke. This is his story.

And the best example of my natural voice (hasn't changed much) at age 14, as a shitty impromptu bit I did for a spam collab:

  • What's a "Newgrounds?"
    What's a "Newgrounds?" by Himynameisjacob

    I shouldn't do this again.

No? I'm serious, I know my dick better than a girl can. Though, the only girl I've been with tends to just... lay there. I do all the work. All of it.
So it's possible that I've only had bad sex.

My computer is insanely qualified in every category, and everything else runs like a dream. My flash player is also up to date.

Like I said, the audio runs smoothly, but the video doesn't show up. This is only in Chrome.

I have no issues on other websites (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, etc) so I assume it's something on my Chrome browser specifically that is handling it oddly.
I'm going to try a few more things.

I've gotten a decent base of users itching to go to this, so I say we make it happen!
We'll just have to make this thing official, and set up a date that hopefully won't disappoint too many people.

I missed two (18 out of 21, but for some reason they start on question two, so it's really 18 out of 20).

There were a couple that tripped me up, like showing an entertainment film in school violating copyright laws, and performing a play without proper permission (I figured it meant you'd ordered a script from the source, gaining indirect permission, but I suppose they didn't account for that).

Obviously this is very premature, but this one isn't looking half bad. Seems to have two beds, and at least one couch. Buffet, pool, fitness, restaurant, the works. Plus it goes down as far as $55 a night, which split between three is just over 18 a night, or even less if we squeezed in more.

I'm digging it.

Several different types would be preferable depending on the enemy and the scenery (music would likely have to come after level design or at least concept), but a decent beat would be necessary for the style of game.

Anything from Videogame to Dubstep to a strong Cinematic or even something Metal.

Yeah, it's seeming like Chicago would be the best bet - if we can find someone in the immediate area to help plan a few things. I'm from Kansas, so Chicago is a good 16-18 hour round trip. But I'd probably make a week out of it.

Personally I'd prefer designing a character to represent my alias rather than making a completely independent one: same name; appearance based on name. Would be cool if some weapons from the level icons could be included in the battle, maybe as special attacks for different characters, like a Banhammer blast, a rain of shurikens, a watergun with en electrifying finale, a lolipop that chokes the foe... stuff like that.

Would be good with some kind of template for character designs btw, maybe a front-side-back sketch, a ore-defined number of moves each one should have, based on different key combinations, voices to go with said moves, voices for idling/general movement/victory/defeat/etc.

Oh, and I'd be happy to participate btw. I could do my share of character design, voice acting for said character and/or others, eventually something else... interface design, backgrounds.. such stuff. This game has so much potential...

A lot of fantastic ideas here - particularly about including level icons in battle, and designing your own character.

Though, I think it would be best if we had readily available default characters based on prominent users or staff and the likes (Tom & Wade Fulp [maybe even as Siamese twins], Luis, JohnnyUtah, etc), then had a Custom Character option.

I've wondered for awhile now, and I figured I may as well post about it.

If a Newgrounds Meet was set up in the midwestern area, who would be willing to come around? Since it's not often anything is available around here.

I wouldn't be the best one to set it up, of course - being under the legal US drinking age - but I'd love to participate, and would be more than happy to aid in getting some peeps together, yo.

Response to: Need 2 talented voice actors! Posted April 26th, 2013 in Collaboration

They make a good point.

Without any examples of previously completed work, you're not likely to gain the support of the more talented voice actors and actresses. Auditioners will need to know that A. You will complete the project and B. The project will look good.

Response to: New Grounds Rebellion Posted April 26th, 2013 in Collaboration

It should be noted that characters would need to fall under one of a few categories, with similar attacks. More importantly, not every character can be equally notable, nor can every character be admitted. Primary workers would take priority, notable Newgrounders would follow suit, and lastly the remaining available slots would be filled with others.

Damn. Yeah, I'm definitely not that bad. Mine are just +8.5. which for some reason is legally blind in Denmark (where I used to live).
I'm not sure how that translates to the US, nor do I know what my vision is actually like with my glasses compared to the normal eye. I've never had a normal eye. Haha
