Asp-whatever it called aside, you probably want to vet through your writing too.

"...your own flash and blood."

is one of those that I want to point out in particular.

I will try and keep it simple.

Main point:
Got a wave of inspiration or great idea? Write it all down somewhere as soon as you can.

Chances are you will forget the great feeling you had by the 3rd day you write about it and slowly forget what you want to write about.

Any idea that pops up for a spot later on in the story of what not should also be noted down and kept for later.

Assuming you eventually complete your writing, you will find that your initial ideas and first draft will be quite so different from the final outcome. However, it would have served its role of keeping you on track and helped you whenever you had a blank moment.

Sub point:
If it's about your English standard or writing style, I have nothing much for you.

Each writer reserves the right to write how they want to send their own tale across to others, with success being a bonus.

Polishing up your own English, making your own Shakespeare style, is all up to you and your own efforts. We can influence you, we cannot force you.

Conclusion:
Keep writing. Go back to your previous writings when you have the chance to read them over. Look up other writers in the topic you are interested in or even do some light research.

Everything adds up to your story telling ability and experience.

Good luck and have fun writing. ;)

i understand your point entirely, except the age range I am writing for are ages 10 and up and back when I was 8 years old, I had already learned those words as I was studying the medieval ages in history class.
Excuse me...?

You absolutely stated you were writing this for 5-16. It seemed appropriate for very young children since your writing style is very childish.

If you are going to lie to defend yourself against constructive criticism then you need to withdraw this farce of a request for feedback.

I second his feedback.

Not all children know as much as another. You will be surprised to find adults that might not even know all this.

Now you can either go on as you will. Or review his feedback and consider that some explanation will make sense lest you pass on an inaccurate understanding of the words used to the children reading them; as each kid might perceive each word differently.
