'tis voting time!
1= Awesomestick/Turkeysaurus
skillfully made, immediately clear what movie/series it portrays.
Perhaps a bit too realistic, but still very comical. I cant say anything more witty here then "Nice guys finish last" (since you were the last to finish, get it?)
2= Lunch-meat/Fried doodoo
The only real "Comicization", and very well done may I add. Its funny, its well made, good idea. You only lose points on simplicity...
3= Ashnyc/Rhunman
This was a difficult one. I was kinda torn between this team and the Zanroth/Memb one. I vote for this scrubs one because the thats 70 thing seems a bit incoherent.
So, okay shading, okay linework. I dont like the lack of background, I feel you really should have put some work in that.
Zanb/Memroth
When I say its incoherent, I mean both your parts dont match up. Its good to divide work, and I applaud everyone for trying to do it another way than the standard linework/coloring. But in the end, its the final drawing that matters, and if your styles dont match up, you lose points. You both used entirely different styles, which really is a shame. Im going to be a bit harsh now, but I really think zanroth could have done a way better job.
Littlelass/Legoeisie scrubs submission
Its a nice drawing and all, but it just doesnt pop (*pop*). I like the imagination cloud idea.
Fat-Monarch/IdiotChaos
its okwya, good job on putting aside your differences and following through on this one. Its probably because I havent seen the movie yet, which makes this drawing a bit boring to me. I cant place the characters, see how they relate to the real thing. Then again, thats the risk you took when choosing that movie.
Great job by everyone and phenomenal turnout this showdown
Indeed very good output.
expect another once there is a solid topic :p
Whats wrong with the Newgrounds movie poster thing?
Otherwise Id say "Historical Happenings" Portray an event of great historical significance? kinda meh, but still.

Well, nice details then. I guess the fingerprints just give it that really detailed look, whereas there really isnt that much to it.
Still, job well done
Well, basically the point is: you dont have to have the right batting average, but we want to be able to rely on you... batting average is one thing that can lead us to trust you.
Another thing could be a mods approval...
I find it funny though, that you disobey your own rules...

Cool.,
Id remove the pack of smokes, it doesnt make sense, and it looks bad. otherwise great.
I just still dont feel it really fits the castle theme

I still don't know what you mean by "a forearm is supposed to be right". O__o Could someone give me a simple re-outline of the forearm so I get it? I haven't really thought about forearms much actually...please give me some tips on them!
Everything else: you're right.
so: I dont know if you can see it, but I didnt know how to change it to color mode in mspaint.
The white line shows the centerline/bones of you pic,
the black line/arrow shows the correct centerline/bones.
the dark outline on the lower arm is to indicate the difference in thickness between the upper and lower arm
please refrain from posting your art in other poeples personal art-threads.
I highly doubt you made that, but Ill ask you to respond to this via pm, if at all. At least dont do it in this thread.

No it isnt.
There is enough crap out ther as it is. I daily look for my two scouts, but everyday I have to go through huge amounts of shit to find someone... At the moment, there are enough talented artists out there to be noticed, but I can imagine a time where talented artists dont get scouted because of bad thumbnails, cause thats all I go by nowadays.
In related news... yeah, removing really bad art from the scoutable section would be nice. especially when the section really rises to unknown size in the future... I think that would always be the job of mods though.

Dont post irrelevant art in other poeples art threads.
also: you actually drew very little in that pic, try to put in a little more effort next time

well, a forearm is supposed to be right, but when you look at hers, you can see it curve inward.
other points of interest:
Forearms are quite thin compared to the upper arms
Arms could be a tad longer
hands could be a tiny bit smaller
fingers could be a bit thinner.
nose needs more definition.
Otherwise Great work

It's a (extremely) loose interpretation of one of his characters. I kind of tried to get the feel of his art in there, though I don't think I succeeded.
OOoh well done! I think you did an excellent job in matching his style. It is very recognizable.

Well done, nice solid coloring. The reflections on the metal look good, though they dont precisely correspond with the flames in the background

is cool.
Nice clean linework.
I dont really like the face on the right elf (with the daggers), think it has to do with his chin/cheeck line, and his lack of nose. Also: the angle of the axe seems a bit off. as it is, It should go straight throught his bracelet.
Also also: I think the head of the left elf should be a bit higher up, and a bit to the right
Nice stuff.
First two are a bit plain, especially the second one, it looks kind of "lazy", more like a decoration than a real work of art.
Third is cool, How exactly did you do that? Did you glue the paper on it or are you using some sort of plaquette paint? If its paper (im guessing so) what tools did you use?
last one is kool, although the angle on the birds is seems a bit weird. Also: it looks like those are one and the same bird... did you use a stencil?
Not too big a fan of the lightning bolts/smoke. I think the birds should be a bit smaller.
I like the general outlay of this painting, as well as the colors you used.
Also: the darker ring around the sun is a bit weird
