I'm sorry to see you go Rohan. However, I appreciate that you chose me, and said that i would be a good replacement. Thank you very much. I won't let you down :)

My sister will be hosting Thanksgiving this year. We'll have about 28 people in the house, and we will be eating from 10:00 AM until we all pass out from tryptophan overload.

28 people? Lots of food and drink? Now I really wish I lived in the States, that must be great! I hope you all have a good time, I'm pretty sure you will!

Posted: 11/16/09 05:56 PM

So today I came across this article. Basically, it explains how Memento, which was developed at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, will allow users to search the webs past.

So for example, I joined Newgrounds in 2007, but I will be able to see how it was in 2003. Or if I want to, I can see how Wikipedia started. Here is a demo that anyone can use (I know, it takes a whiiiiiiiiile to load, I've been doing some searches while typing this and they haven't loaded yet).

So, how do you feel about this? Is it cool? Useless? Both?
If you could see how ANY website was in the past, which one would you choose? Why?

Since you have a garbage whistle, you cannot flag Flash submissions anymore.

Really? I thought that people with garbage whistle could flag flashes too... Weird... Anyway, EpicFail, since now places like Rage's thread don't exist anymore you'll have to go review hunting by yourself. Try to always look in low-scoring flashes (including the turd of the week), submissions by groups such as the DD or anything that can be considered hateful, and things that some people don't like (such as Foamy or anything that a certain group might dislike).

Anyway, if you have any doubt, we are always glad to help! If you have a question concerning reviews, you can always ask them in this thread. Happy flagging! ;)

It's sad to see this happen. But as other people have said, if you don't feel motivated to do this then there's no reason why you should still be the CBO. And anyway, you'll still be around if we need you so you won't disappear completely :)

As my last act as commander, I make the following decree.

EagleRock, should he choose to accept it, is again instated as Chief Barracks Officer.
Phantom, should he choose to accept it, is again instated as the Lieutenant CBO.
RohantheBarbarian, should he choose to accept it, is moved from Emergency Command Officer to Second Lieutenant CBO.
And lastly, I will place myself as the Emergency Command Officer, in the event that balrogs kill all of the above.

Nice choices, this guys will probably do a great work :)

Also, classes have finished over here. That means that I won't have to go to school for some months and I won't have any major responsibilities. So I will have more free time, even though surprisingly I have a life and I will spend time doing other stuff besides NG (so I won't be here 24/7), but I will certainly have less things in mind and I will spend more time coming here. I wouldn't be too upset. I'd argue that as long as we're talking about the members and their own individual personal events/whatever, we're really technically on-topic. I mean, as long as we're keeping on the general topic of B/Ping, Newgrounds news, etc. with the occasional side-discussion therein, we're golden.

My thoughts exactly. Sometimes we talk about some unrelated things but we still catch abusive flashes at the same time, so there's nothing wrong with that, because posts here are never spam.

Haha! Sorry about that, I didn't realize you all were waiting that intensely for it! I had a lot of storyline to work out, which I'm actually almost finished with. I can start churned out the prologue and stuff soon, but I dunno how fast I'll be able to write. Postseason is upon us, and with the AL teams as hot as they are, it's going to be a crazy bunch of playoff games... :-)

Well, it will be much worse after you start writing, since probably there will be a lot of cliffhangers that will sure as hell keep me waiting anxiously. Anyway don't worry, take your time to make it as perfect as possible :D I just wanted to know if there was a release date :)

Also, the day before yesterday I received an IRL letter for the first time in my life. It was so exciting! It was quite difficult to open the envelope, but it was well worth it.
Really? Maybe I'm just older, but I've had tons of letters in the mail. And I don't mean junk mail... :-P

It's not that awesome, but when my mom told me that I had received a letter I was like "wtf who would send ME a letter?! I'm going to Howarts!".

Also 2, it looks like I will be getting a PS3 for my birthday later this month. Bleh, expect me to be less active for a few days after 21st October, lol.
I don't have one myself, but one of the best downloadable games for that thing is Pixeljunk Monsters...man is that game awesome!

Well I started looking for some PS3 games since I'm not too sure of which ones I'm going to get (besides a few precious ones such as GTA IV). I looked up the game you suggested in Google and the first result I got was a Wikipedia article. It looked like a generic tower defense game but who knows, I may give it a try :)

Thanks for the recommendation!

Just don't get TOO involved and never come back to NG! :-)

I'll do my best to come back! Anyway my birthday is on a shitty date because I'll probably be studying for school so there are two possible consequences:
A) I won't be able to fully enjoy it for some time.
B) I will do pretty bad at school.
It will probably be B) anyway :P
