im working with a reggae piano sample on FL Studio and I wouldnt mind making this a combined effort. In fruity, when i insert too long sample, it repeats it and repeats, and it make horrible loud :(

ok, since i dont know how long your beat sequencer is on your pattern, im going to assume it is default(4) and your sample is double that (8). If you want to have it loop around and cut off the rest (so it just fits to 4) you can click the sample on the beat sequencer, right click the sound file under the SMP tab and hit edit (or Ctrl+E). That will open Edison. then hit the button that has a flag and "abc" on it. Select "Set Loop" and choose "save as". Then put that sample in the beat sequencer, click it, enable loop points, then as long as the key note is held, it will play, and when released, it will stop. Basically, just do that and it will loop smoothly with no volume increase. If that dosent work there are other ways, just let me know.
