GTFO smartass troll :P
there was an "OR" there.
And its about all BUT what I think is cool.
I am not making the game for myself.
Do you even grasp the concept of what a "troll" is? I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, I'm just saying, he isn't "trolling". If you really want to make a game, build a solid concept, basing a game around everything that is popular, and hip, will not make a good game, it just makes it a pile of shit/scream for attention.

Well "Trolling" to my understanding is providing a commentary without any valid feedback or information value - what so ever + the obvious attention whore syndrome, which is to get people mad and angry by streaming their anger at yourself. To put it bluntly - they raise the emotions for the sake it.
And you are wrong. Solid concept can be anything. But what really matters is the execution. Look at Mario. A plummer. Going thru all sort of weird shit. This is solid? No, it isnt. But its fun. More then fun. Its legendary.
I also never said or claimed i am going to make a game that is build around making fun of popular stuff. Quote me. Go ahead.
If someone got this idea by himself - its their problem of overthinking.
I was barely asking for people to enlist what do they consider popular these days. Mostly because i am kind a old fart and i just dont know whats going on here and there. And my goal was to add some of that into the game, if i found it funny and if it would blend well with the game.
So thank you captain obvious . But, no. You havent made a point. Aaaaand you did in fact been a little dick.
And i actualy dislike your type more then the regular Trolls. Trolls are preety much harmless if you just ignore them. But the "Self-proclaimed Wisemans" are far more irritating.
Kudos still!
Next time ill drop here - itll be with the finished game.

True that.
Plus the game is officialy "Adults Only".
This combained should cover my ass.

Browse the flash portal. Newgrounds i preety much build around this idea lol
And besides, theres not many ACTUAL people in the game. I am making fun of not the exact person but more like about what he represents.
For example:
There an enemy that can represents any nowadays celebs. ragining from Gada, to Bieber, to One Direction.
I cannot use REAL names in a game. I am too poor get sued ^^

Good to hear, and that sounds... awesome? :P Any idea when it'll be ready?

In a perfect world?
Till the end of the week i should have the script done. This is when i am starting coding. 1-2weeks as i am doing it alone. Meawhile my graphics-wizard will create the assets. Then assambling all this crap into one piece of shit. Bugtesting, balancing, graphics polishing.
So about a month if nothing will go too ugly. 2 months at worst. Its a preety easy game from the programing perspective.
Just tendious to code. But simple. Oh and its nothing too ambitious. More of a blockbuster. A game you really dont play for longer then 10 minutes. But at the same time, you keep returning to play some more.
Thats why i designed hell load of secret features, new unlockable game modes and player character, power ups and what not.
The play basicly does the same thing over and over. But in order to keep it fresh and rewarding ill be throwing new and new unclokable content. So the game actual "grow" and becomes only richer with every playthru.

But there is a an enemy that is considered Hipster.
Emos. They are a type of a weapon
Hah, I'll be looking forward to this game! :D

Actualy yoi just gave me some very tasty inspiration. Thank you! :)I especialy like the Telletubbies and Hindu call center. Now i have to figure out how to design this so it could smothly sink in and blend with the game mechanics.

Look at the top companies in the world and fetch some businessmen. Then add stereotypes for all ethnicities and races, as well as all commercial products you see ads for. There should be more than enough. :P

Yes and no. I mean, i did a majority of that. But the game is being made for a global audience. No point in codding jokes which only a handfull of people will relate to and laugh.
Other things are just not funny, or making fun of it wouldnt be funny.
Another things will be forgoten in matter of months and after that, no one will get the joke, as they already forgoten.
But i value the feedback ive reciving here. I seriously dont hope for a "finished idea" to pop up. Especialy as i havent said alot about the game or its mechanics. But its inspiring.
Even if the feedback wont become directly a feature, it might give me an idea which i will polish on my own.
For example: Hipsters. They are not -directly- inside the game. But there is a an enemy that is considered Hipster.
Another one: Emos. They are a type of a weapon that when launched makes enemies depressed but also willing to attack the rocket so it works as an "Effect" weapon with some attention magnet behaviour.

some very insteresing ideas guys. Keep 'em comming :)
for haters: 90% of the game script is finished and set in stone.
I just had this idea to let the eventual players have some power over the game so they can see things of their design as a playable content.
And reading players feedback is very inspiring.

Hello guys.
I am in process of making PC game.
The game is quite ridiculous and offends preety much everything there is.
So i try to input more and more stuff to offend.
But slowly i am running out of things to insult.

So heres heres the deal:
Enlist/name something, anything that you consider popular or cool.
Justin Bieber, Minecraft, My Little Ponnies - you name it.
Obviously, you can write more then one thing.
Go wild! :D

Those are precisely the reasons for the thread I linked to above. It discusses pretty much everything that you listed.

You've been on the site for more than four years, but appear to be new to the Audio Portal. Here are some useful links. Please read the rules and then make good use of the available threads.

- Newgrounds Audio Forum Rules

- Guidelines for submitting audio. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!

- A few things you should know about how we handle copyright infringements

- Here is a link to some Audio Resources.

- Audio Advertisements Thread

- Album Thread Guidelines

- Review Request Club Thread

- Works In Progress Advice Thread

- Collab Forum

- If you notice any audio content that breaks site rules, provide a link to it in the Audio Portal Cleanup Thread

Thank-you for your attention.

Well. If you say so.
Thx for the links
They were actualy quite usefull.
Kudos!

The only thing i would add to the topic is that i belive that Audio portal, in general, is over-shadowed by Flash portal.
And it doesnt have to be that way.
There is really a hand full of Audio portals and websites around the web.
And i think NG has the potensial to battle them... if we would try.
I just wish Tom would recognize the Audio portal more.
Especialy as more then half of well known, award wining movies and game has its audio and voice actors from here too.

High views - not feedback? Posted February 3rd, 2013 in Audio

Well the title is propably self-explanetory.
Lately i am trying to promote myself on NG link people from diffrent networks to my NG profile.
And its working.... partialy.
Views counts are getting higher and higher but... Barely anybody is voting or reviewing.
Why?

I mean look at the Movie/Games. They are all literaly COVERED with people reviewing. Being the 1st reviewer if for many people an achievement!
Now why we, down here in audio section are like the bottom crawlers? :(
I mean, some many great voice acting, singing, music and audio novels are all around. Yet we barely recive any damn feedback.
We observe th views counter getting higher and higher but without feedback its like a dead thing.
"Do they liked it?" "Maybe they hated it?" "Woah look they are actualy downloading! but why they arent voting/reviewing?"
I hope you know what i am trying to say.

I cant figure it out whats wrong.
I mean, come on - if you liked the track SO much that you actualy DOWNLOADED it (which is something. i offten like some music but i rarely DL it to become a part of my own playlist) then why you wont vote or just say you liked it?

Thats incredibly depressing for any artist. Not the hate even. But being ignored, left without feedback.
It makes you question yourself and the whole point of creation.
