Symphonic can be everything:

Symphonic Metal
Symphonic Schnetal
Symphonic Detal

It's not a style at all but a choosing of the instruments.

Crap... Where is the edit function? D:
VSL Special Edition costs 465 $, in euro 360 EUR.
So I think in pounds should it be like the euro number.

Just get Cubase 5 (Or Cubase Studio 5 which is cheaper with less features).
As the VSTi I fucking recommend you the VSL Special Edition. The standard edition costs
less than 400$ and it sounds like a real orchestra. Better than Garritan or anything in that price area. :A
Cubase 5 announced a new feature: The VST Expression. You don't have to use Keyswitches anymore, you can add easily the articulations under the piano roll and it is easier than adding keyswitches!
And Vienna Instruments (VST) makes everything much easier. It's the sampler of the VSL samples and it knows when you're playing short notes or playing really fast. If you're playing short notes, you can make that program that it will play a staccato articulations. It even sees repetitions, trills and more. So you can add more than 1 instrument on a midi Channel. So you can keep your song realistic even if you're playing notes in! That's funny. ;)

Just go to:

www.Steinberg.net
&
www.vsl.co.at

There are the best softwares and VSTs on the market, trust me. ;)
And look at those tutorial videos on the VSL page about Vienna Instruments. So you can look at the feature and how to use them. If you have them, composing gets real easy. Cubase is popular because of it's great workflow and Steinberg celebrates it's 25th Birthday.
So I think Cubase is better than Sonar, because of major features and the unreached workflow.
And even official reviews had rated Cubase better than Sonar!

Just know how to spend the money best dude!
This is my plan! Do the same and you'll be very happy. :D
By the way: I don't mean offence on Sonar users. :3

I checked my favlist and I had 61 fans. Hours later in the night I checked again and it suddenly was increased into 66! I had no new reviews on my songs or votes I would notice. So I looked into the list and saw this:

Fav bug!

Nice track, really!
But why don't you ask this in the flash or videogame portal?
Here in the audio portal are only musicians or mostly musicians I think.

Good luck getting a job. I tried my own post but nobody replied yet. ;(

Hello there,

I have a plenty of time and I would love to get some work in flashmovies with potencial.
If you want some taste of my work: I uploaded enough to hear, I think.

I mostly work with orchestras and my orchestra sounds much better since the beginning of this year. (See "Sorrow (Short)")
I would really love to make an orchestral score for a complete flash movie.
I hope you need a composer. ;)

Hi Intero, problem is, we're all musicians in here. ;)

You probably won't find anyone that wants you to compose anything for them but if you hang around a bit, you'll meet plenty of interesting characters that you can "talk shop" with - bounce ideas off of and share super secret production techniques with...

That sort of thing.

Damn it I know shortly after posting this. xD
So I wanted to delete this post and make it on the flashportal.

Hi,

I'm Intero, I'm working with music since 2005 and mostly make Soundtracks with orchestras.
So I need some work here on NG with flashes with good potencial.

If you need some taste of my work, I uploaded enough submissions for I think.
By the way, my equipment changed and my orchetra sounds much better now.
I would really love to make a orchestral score for a complete flash movie.

I hope you reply. ;)

Wow, I didn't thought so many people would reply.
And the idea of Maestrorage sounds the best for me.
I should try each method to get a good imagination how the song should sound.

@The users who said: "Take a break"
Sorry, but I don't want to waste by taking breaks, because I hadn't ideas the whole weekend.
My friend Zero123music and I am working on a project and he works really diligent and he has composed really good themes. I made nothing good to show it to the producer. It lets me look like an idiot. xD

Well, thanks to everyone who took the time to reply!
I think this collection of solutions should be useful for everyone!

Hi everyone,

I have to really popular problem of having no ideas what to compose if you're working on a project.
So I want to ask you all: What do you do, if you're having no ideas but you must compose something.
I should help me out of this. I tried everything: Sitting on the piano and played around, heared music for hours, whistled... etc... But nothing good appears. xD
I hope you can help me and others out of this situation or maybe there is no solution.^^'
And don't say things like: "You cannot force yourself to compose" ^^
I want to compose but there are no ideas.

I vote for Zero123music, because he need more attention by good guys, who write detailed reviews so he can be better with help in no time. He is really talented! The only thing he needs is attention by more listeners and good helpful reviews, which can make him composing with more joy and perfection. (That's my critism, he needs more time and perfection by composing songs)
He is a really good composer and he will become better with help from the good old Newgrounders. ;)

@Zero123music: I'm 15 years old :P. I will become 16 in the 10th February. I hope you'll never stop making music. ;)

Who gives a flying fuck about sentence and paragraph structure, dickhead?

Piss me off again and I'll shove my fist into your ass and rip out your prostate. Then I'll make you eat it.

Btw, do me a favor and tell your mom I didn't fuck her last night because her pussy stank.

Guys, if you want to insult each other, please make it over pm. I don't think you're all looking good in that situation for all Newgrounders who are reading this topic now.
@Tombanks
I don't think, we know now more about you and how NG helped you with your music. I would say, that you should think about what you're writing about this topic here. He know himself, how he should reply these quotes and looks like he don't need your help with that.

Now to the topic:

My first song I uploaded on NG was good, too. And not my genre anymore. ;)
The improvements I make are coming from myself and books... unsually from Newgrounder's critism. But I still know some good guys here at NG who have helped me a lot. But that is over. There are now not so much good reviewers anymore.

NG helped me not directly, but NG makes me more fun composing music because of showing my tracks to all those Newgrounders. There are some musicians, who had written me really helpful things to compose each track better and it really helps.

NG would really help me a lot more if every Newgrounder would critisize on your music. But I hate the voting system. In my opinion, Newgrounders should only write reviews if they want to vote the track. Voting without arguments sucks.
