What sort of a voice do you have? Any demos, or anything?
Is there really nobody?
Translation: BUMP!
I know that this should be in the Voice Actors Wanted thread, and in actual fact, it is, but it's been 3 or 4 days since I posted it, and I've only got 1 reply, and as a good few people have been posting threads like these (one even got Rina-Chan out of it!) and novody seems to be complaining too much, I ight as ell give it a go...
Looking for 8 VAs for animation, current working title: Ultimate Cliche Guide
It's basically a parodical animation using as many movie cliches as I can.

PM me if you're interested with a demo reel or a recording of one of the sample voices you want to do. Feel free to do as many of those voices as you want, I'm unlikely to get 8 VAs....Deadline is 10-8-08, or if you're American: 8-10-08
BE WARNED: The characters Emily, Sam, and John swear in their parts, if that puts you off....
The roles of Dr. Sabreleg and Arnold may be taken already, but it's not definite...
OK then 'Great One', please review my currently highest work of art (and my newest) : Newgrounds: A History
Note for any VAs: This Flash has Rina-Chan in it! Get in fast!

Thank you for all your tips or whatever..
You are the luckiest 14-year-old alive (I came second)! To get the best (F)VA in the business to work on a Lvl 2's debut flash? Amazing! I PMed her about my movie, but no reply yet, probably should have included a Nintendo character in the story then....
Good luck with your Flash, will be looking out for it in the Portal..

oh yeah, woops, sorry...i feel stupid...
Does anybody know a good website where you can get sound effects for free? I usually use SoundDogs, but that isn't always reliable...
Don't say 'Use Google' 'cos experience can be more useful than Google..
I apologise if this would be better in the audio forum.....

Well I might be wrong, so ask her yourself.
Just checked her site, and it said:
'I don't mind voice acting at no charge in order to gain experience. However, if you happen to be feeling generous or enjoyed the lines I sent you, I always appreciate donations in order to help out with the cost of recording equipment and other expenses involved in voice acting.'
So that's that settled.

Do you know if she charges? I would presume that she does, but I was just wondering...

that quite possibly seems like a very bad idea..but i spose ts no differen to the $100 giveaways that Tom's doing.....
What determines the user of the day in the forums? Is it simply whoever posted the most in that day, or is there more to it?
At 7/10/08 04:11 PM, zrb wrote: Over 4 because alot of decent Flashes get over 3.5 but the best ones get over 4.
yeah, i think that the Flash portal's 'great score' and 'awesome score' is a bit off these days...but this thread is going a bit off topic...

Also out of interest, what counts as a quality Flash in terms of rating? 3.5 or over? Or over 4?
At 7/10/08 04:00 PM, zrb wrote: Quality, you need great quality and a decent amount of time for a great submission.
Like Waterlollies? I would have voted 5 on the preloader alone...
What do you think is better in a Flash submission: quality or quantity?
Would you prefer a 4 minute long animation with OK graphics and animation, but nothing out of this world? Or a 1 minute thing, with amazing graphics and animation but it's farily short?
I'm just wondering...

Thank you. I would start the competition myself but I don't have the authority to whatsoever...
what would be cool is a competition where the members can design a poster for the event. That would further inhance the slogan: 'Everything. By Everyone.'

I didn't know I made a South Park reference, I was merely referring to the real religion. I believe that if you wat to believe, you should believe in something that you don't obey for yu are scared of its wrath, but becuase you respect. I respect that 2 people came up with this novelty religion, as an attack against organised religion, and I'm not for orgainised religion, so I do actualy claim to be pastafarian (it's the real term).
If you want voice actors, you can advertise them in this thread.

On flash, you can click File>Export Movie and then choose which file format you want, such as a video format like .avi, or whatever (i haven't got Flash open right now, so I'm trying to recall from memory, so my facts might be a bit off). This does give TERRIBLE quality though. Fading messes up, and everything is very jolty, but if you want to do that, then go ahead...
