I used to be musically retarded when I was about 6. I liked Westlife and Busted..WESTLIFE AND BUSTED! How gay! Actually, I think it was my older sister getting me to like what she liked...

Why so serious? Photoshop.

Use whatever image making program you want to make an image that is 770 pixels in length, and anywhere between 40 and 100 pixels in height. Save it as a .jpg file, go here and upload the image.

I think that's the kind of banner you mean, if not, sorry.

Response to: Favorite dog breed? Posted August 13th, 2008 in General

I'd recommend a border collie. They're cute both as puppies and as adults. And they're fairly loyal and obedient.

Whatever you do, don't get a Jack Russell. They look horrible at all stages, they sound horrible, they behave horribly. They are repulsive. In my opinion.

Response to: BLAM means? Posted August 13th, 2008 in General

To blam is to vote either 0 or 1 on a flash which is Under Judgment in the Flash Portal, which will, if the general public have the same voting disposition as you, mean that the flash in question is deleted from the Portal.

OK, time to revive this baby!

Well, A couple of weeks ago I saw The Dark Knight, which is an excellent film, but anyway. Everybody seems to be doing their own renditions of The Joker, so I thought I'd give it a go. It's a bit too gritty and weird for my liking, but I still kinda like all the same...

RIP Heath Ledger, and good luck on the posthumous Oscar!

Favourite Punctuation Mark? Posted August 13th, 2008 in General

What is your favourite punctuation mark, or whatever you call it? It can be because of how it looks, or how useful it is to you..

Mine is the ellipsis (that's the one that has the three dots [...] ). I find it really useful, as it's quick to type...

.,;:'"|\{[]}()-_+=!@#$%^&*~`<>

No, that wasn't me swearing, that was just a bunch of punctuation marks...

Adobe CS3 is the best thing to get, but it is expensive, or you can get LiveSwif. It's free, but it's worse....

And also, try not to type in CAPS next time. Thanks.

What sort of things can they actually do, other than banning people and deleting and locking threads?

Can they override another mod's judgment and unlock threads?
How hefty a ban can they enforce? Can they ban a user from the BBS for life, or does that have to be done by admin?
And can they take a user's ban away?

And other than that, what else can they do...

Sorry for that torrent of questions...I'm an inquisitive guy...

Response to: Can you help me?...anyone? Posted August 13th, 2008 in Where is / How to?

Not quite sure what you're saying, but here goes:

Save your flash to a .swf file in Flash, and then go to the Flash Submit Page. Or whatever it's called.

Response to: name changing Posted August 13th, 2008 in Where is / How to?

You can PM Wade about it, but there's not much chance of you getting a name change, as he barely ever replies. I'd say he gets hundreds of PMs every day maybe...

Some people just say to start afresh with a new account if you don't have much on your profile...Well, for you, it's kinda borderline contributory: you have no flash or audio submissions, but you have over 100 BBS posts and a couple of reviews and such...so I dunno..

You can try asking, but I'm not too sure it'll happen..maybe the guy has been making an amazing flash 24/7 for the last 8 years and it'll be like Waterlollies but it'll be 2 hours long and have better humour than..em..a really funny flash..and it'll blow our minds..probably not..you you never know...

Response to: help with my first animation Posted August 12th, 2008 in Game Development

Animation itself requires no coding, but getting a preloader, and play and reply buttons do, but you can bypass them easily by downloading a NG preloader.

I myself would do actual voices, as a silent flash isn't much fun to watch....you can advertise for voice actors here.

I'm not sure about the name...but I will say that you'd be better off doing odd little characters, not stickmen...Stick generally tend to get lower scores, as they are quite boring.....

Response to: how many FPS should a movie be? Posted August 11th, 2008 in Game Development

Response to: Words to not type in Google Images Posted August 11th, 2008 in General

I typed in 'holly' one day, around Christmas. It was disturbing. I didn't even know Google Images did that kinda stuff...I blame all those Playboy people (Models or girlfriends) called Holly...But I tried it later on in my life (not cos I wanted to look at the already seen images, honest) and it wasn't the same..

Seriously? Never heard anything about it, is it gonna be a drama, comedy or what?

I think it's a drama, called Ondine, and it's an adaption of a German fairytale or summin...if you see it next year, look out for me, I'll be looking weird and screaming at a bunch of topless men playing tug-of-war.....

Sorry about not responding sooner, but there's the whole 30 min rule...
