Convert whatever you want to blur to a Movie Clip. Go to the Properties panel, and there will be a section called "Filters". In that, add a new filter, which is blur, and adjust your blur accordingly.

That's a very nice style. When I first saw the image, I assumed it was finished, before I read the text. The arms aren't essential.

When you mention about all the limbs being in different symbols, are you considering using him for a flash game or something, because it would work quite well.

I like ArthurGhostly's idea. Something that might also be fun, is to slightly invert the concept. Vikings are always considered big, imposing, etc. So maybe, if you made him kind of timid or innocent. The following image is what I would do, but it is obviously your style, so it's up to you.

If it helps, although it should be fairly straightforward, </3 is a broken heart. Well, I'm purely guessing this, from when I've seen it.

I love how "British" is an accent. The amount of diversity in Britain is quite massive.

I personally like the Welsh accent. It's funny.

I really don't think grounding is a particularly great technique. There are plenty of things to do at home.

Ross Noble is great. Improv is the way to go.
Russell Howard is quite good too. He brings out the geek in all of us.

I'm not really sure if these guys count, but Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt, aka, The Mighty Boosh. I'm not talking about their actual Boosh shows, but in documentaries about the Boosh, when they are just talking, bouncing off each other. It's hilarious.

I generally find British comedians more to my taste.

I'd be happy to partake the job of co-organiser. As I said, I have set up a few collabs, so I obviously have experience in the field. Anyway, it's your choice.

Is the collab going to be compiled like a big PC ad, with light BG music and stuff, or is it just going to be the clips as they are?

Weirdly, I kinda like them. They have quite an organic, childish appearance about them, and it works quite well. I believe the artistic term is Art Brut.

From a technical perspective, they're nothing special. I'm guessing it's intentional, but the proportions are all wrong in the faces, and it's all fairly simple..

I'll definately be in. I have a few ideas, and I'll begin them later this evening..

I'm also interested in the Co-Organiser position. I have a bit of experience with creating collabs, and I'm just wondering what it may entail..

I went and saw them yesterday in Dublin. So.Fucking. Awesome. I had also watched all 3 series in the 4 days beforehand, so I had all my Boosh references at the ready!

The best bits are when they completely mess up, like when they forget their lines, or, more usually, the set/costumes fall apart.

Anyone else from Ireland go yesterday?

Usually, refreshing doesn't help. All you have to do is do a little thing called refreshing your cache. It's similar to refreshing, and does the same things, but it's a tiny bit stronger. To do this, just press F5.

Listen, trust me. Don't give up! I cannot stress this enough. Back in the old days, 11 months ago, I submitted a flash to NG. It was subsequently blammed. I quit NG for 3 months. It was blammed. If it gets less than 1.60 after 200 votes, it is deleted from the NG server. You can not upload it again with the same file since NG assumes you have not edited it at all.

Try improving on your flash. Read the reviews, if any (find the name of your flash here, and check out the comments left), and pick up on the main problems raised, and then try to edit your flash to improve it. Publish it under a new file name and try uploading it again. If that doesn't appeal to you, try making something entirely new. Either way, don't give up. It happens to the best of us when we start out.

Well, this thread seems to have temporarily died, so a new topic may be vaguely relevant..

To me, it's getting late in the night, and the day is almost over. I glanced back over today's submissions, and one thing in particular struck me. Excluding this one flash, nothing has surpassed the "Awesome" score (3.60) today. P-Bots post tomorrow won't show this, as a couple of the things will carry over from yesterday night, and I'm sure people will submit higher-scoring stuff in between now and 12:00 NG Time, but, for at least 18 hours, nothing outstanding has been submitted.

Why do the days not average out in terms of good submissions? It even seems that the scores are lower on the weekend, which, to me, doesn't make sense...Most people on NG will be under 18, and thus submit things on the weekend when they are free. Obviosuly, it is the Winter break at the moment, but the statistics still don't add up..

This is a completely non-important issue, but a vaguely interesting one at that. Anyone care to divulge into the world of statistic-based Flash Portal analysis?
