Howdy fellas!

I realise that most of you won't have a clue who I am, but I thought I'd just pop back and say hi. For those of you who remember me, glad to see you're still here :) And to those of you who don't, well, I was at one point the roster manager for a few months, and I think that I introduced the slightly more formula-based Excel files - Nice to see my format is still being used :)

So yeah - Hope that you're all well. Last time I was around, the NGPD was going through a bit of a tough spot...

Following a long period of not being on Newgrounds, I decided to pop round here again, just to see how everyone was doing. Nice to see some familiar faces - I don't think I could imagine Wi/Ht? without Coop, Haggard and Corey/Corky/Fro/Whatever he calls himself these days.

I haven't got any achievements, unless first time on NG for ages counts.

This isn't an "I'm back!" post, I'm afraid, but I just felt like catching up anyway...

Welcome to the relaunch of the Espionage Collab, where you are invited to make a piece about spies. It will be set to the Mission Impossible theme tune.

Specs:
Stage: 550 x 370
24fps
BG Colour: White (Make your own)

Rules:
As it is set to music, no sounds or dialogue.
No sticks, sprites, clocks, etc. etc.
Files must be compatible with Flash 8.
No Actionscript
Do not put in your name. I'll do it later.
Place your movie in a single MovieClip on the timeline
Put the first 3 letters of your NG username before all symbols you use. If I had a symbol of a head, I would call it ins_head
You can take as many parts as you want, but make sure you finish one, and I have accepted it before you claim the next.

You are allowed to use three colours. These must be black, white, and another colour of your choice. However, with this third colour, you can use the whole range of tone in the 'Color' panel.

This isn't really a rule, but try to make your flash sync with the music. This will make it a better viewing experience.

Who can join:
Anyone, but make sure you post and I approve you before you start a part. If you don't have any animations on NG, DeviantArt, or whatever, that's alright, but make sure you send them to me first.

How to join:
Post in this thread, e-mail me (insanimail@gmail.com), PM me, or just get in touch any way you can. Feel free to send me a letter in the mail, if you can find my address.

Sending in your part:
You can upload the FLA and SWF to SpamTheWeb and either PM me the link or post it in this thread. If the file is too big for STW, upload it to MediaFire. Don't bother asking for my e-mail, I'll just direct you to my previous instructions.

Current status: All parts are taken, but a bunch of people are inactive, so feel free to steal their parts. Of the 16 parts, 8 are inactive. GET JOININ'!

Hey again..Seems like a lot of you guys are still here from my days in the club..Michelinman seems like the only new guy..

So, following a few months with the Review Request Club, I'm here to celebrate 100 Audio Reviews! :D

This week has not been a good week for reviewing for me..I still have 9 reviews left to do, and I keep on forgetting to put "[Review Request Club]" at the end :(

I guess this is a sign of times to come...If I happen to get everything done this week, it'll be the last week I do for ages..

About the audio requests issue, I talked with Coop recently and he came up with an interesting idea; we could allow user to request reviews on 2 audio, 2 art and 2 flash - and then, not on 6 audio. That way audio people won't complain saying they can't request as much as art and flash people... And as Coop pointed out, there are very few user that would submit audio, art and flash regularly. I really can see this working.

That sounds like a pretty good idea, but I really doubt it'll make much difference. This week, nobody requested more than 2 audio, but we still ended up with plenty of audio requests..I dunno..

As I said to Nicolas (Sonofkirk for all you other folk) yesterday, I will stop completing all requests once I get to 100 Flash and 100 Audio Reviews. I might do the occasional Flash or Art review though...

I'm afraid I'm gonna have to hand in my resignation here..I just don't have the time to be as active as I want i this club, as I'm going into an important school year..

I guess I just never made the right connection with this club..When I joined, I was too busy IRL, and then I never really got into it enough..Perhaps because of the large space between rosters, making it feel less up-to-date than the NGPD...There isn't that lighthearted attitude as in the NGPD, either..Sure, this attitude got them into a lot of trouble, but at least they had fun getting whilst getting into trouble.

Don't get me wrong, I still think this is a great club, but just not for me, sorry. Maybe I'll give it a go in a while, but for now, adios!

A few too many heavy metal songs in the batch for my liking, but that's alright.

There were a couple of the audio artists this week who gave great responses. It's amazing how unresponsive flash artists are compared to audio artists.

Sorry for being absent guys, went off to Dublin for a course..It's a pity that the week I left was packed with requests and yet this one has so few..

I think, like many people have said, it's finishing the flash. I start the flash with these massive ideas of how it should look, but once I've got about halfway through, it never looks how it should, which just completely drains my motivation..

Well, I've just finished thsi week's RRC requests, thus giving me 100 Total Reviews, not including art reviews, because I don't know how to count my art reviews.

1. In the Properties panel, which is probably at the bottom of the window.

2. Flash movies will loop automatically, unless you put in a preloader or anything else that would stop it. If you have a preloader, you can make it loop by putting this code on the last keyframe of your movie.

gotoAndPlay(whatever frame your movie begins)

So, for example:

gotoAndPlay(1)

I have an old script I wrote about a year ago, and I got voice actors, and animated about 2 minutes of it. However, I've completely lost all motivation on it, and would be happy to hand over the script and voices (including Rina-chan), in return for a co-author.

It's basically a parody of the many cliches we see in movies, and is set in a plane. 2 of the voice actors who worked on it said it was one of the funniest scripts they had seen.

However, it's a lot of work. It's probably about 3 minutes long, but most of it is dialogue, so not too hard..

If you're interested and you're not FalconPuuunch, just PM me, and we'll see.

It would be locked if it had got out of hand, or if was breaking the rules in any way. The moderators decide when to lock a thread, and they have their own reasons for it.

I can't program, but I'm just gonna comment on the art. Are you gonna keep them as stickmen? It seems very unoriginal, and boring. The movements are good, so you could just use the stickmen as a base and copy over them. It would make it instantly better.
