3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsJim Sterling very bluntly summed up my thoughts on his recent Jimquisition videoes. Early Access and Greenlight have been great for certain titles like Starbound but it's opened the floodgates for a -lot- of crap and Steam's quality control has completely gone down the shitter.
Got a humble bundle with a bunch of Telltale games. Have only completed Walking Dead, tried a bit of Sam and Max: Devil's Playhouse which is pretty damn funny.
Need to get around to the rest of those. And the rest of my Steam backlog.

The reality could be that you have some form of mental health problem. Therapy and medication can help you find ways to get through it. Or it could simply be that your hormones are all over the place. I'd encourage you to at least talk to a doctor about it.

From the looks of it rooms for the Friday and Saturday are cheapest at the Tower Hill and Old Street branches (Ã'£49 Friday + Ã'£89 Saturday = Ã'£138 for both nights, which could easily be split amongst multiple NGers).

I'm looking at the branch in Barking, Essex. £110 for friday and saturday night.
Really guys? You can get those games for a dollar. Less than a dollar maybe.

Build up that Yu Yevon is supposed to be "God" throughout the entire game for it to be an automatic win is a middle finger to fans.
Understandable that Jecht was really the "final boss" but after the huge buildup to this god that controls the world and sin it's just a huge let down.
I'm ok with the whole Yu Yevon thing. It's supposed to be symbolic as to how he's basically a flea without his armour (Sin). Jecht was good enough for the finale.

It's hard to call them actual Smash Bros tournaments considering how much of the game they have to omit in order to keep it balanced.
No items, Fox only, Final Destination.
Am eagerly looking forward to his Wii U related topics. He's apparently rather fond of it.

basically im looking for a game where not every character of the same class ends up with the same builds
Despite attempts, most MMO's with talent trees can be brought down to a numbers game. With enough time, effort and calculating you can tell which talents and which skills used correctly can equal the highest possible output.
The only outliers are you ability to execute the attacks in order and the enviornmental hazards that must be avoided which may potentially impact the attack rotation.
If you have the scart cable from an old Gamecube lying around you can use that.
Also works on a SNES too for that crispy clean screen.

BUT you can buy it on steam to support the developer. The paid version does however get one new level and a new art style. The new art style sucks, stick with the original if you buy it.
Or you could go fullretard and buy Cave Story 3D on the 3DS for an extortionate amount.

Nyan Cat - Genre Hopping was posted on YouTube three days before NG but no one on YouTube noticed it. It has now just started gaining momentum there today. Even one of our own reviewers on NG exclaimed, "this needs to be on youtubes...like RIGHT NOW!"
I figure this thing will end up on Reddit, the question will be whether it's a link to YouTube or NG. If you're a Reddit user, can you give us a hand?
If you're disgusted by the sight of my pandering for Reddit votes for a meme cartoon... Apologies in advance.
The problem, for Reddit directly, is that you can embed Youtube videoes into Reddit. With Newgrounds, you gotta open up the new webpage for it.
Never underestimate how lazy people can be.

The main benefit of a game being on Steam is availability. The fact that your on Steam is like free advertising, sales can shoot up when on the platform and putting on a big sale can shift thousands of copies.
Minecraft effectively generates it's own popularity. It doesn't need to be on Steam, it doesn't need to give any money to Valve because the game is popular enough to not need Steam. Same with Blizzard products, or certain MMO's like Guild Wars 2 (Though TERA did eventually get onto Steam as well as a lot of F2P MMO's).
Companies like Activision go on Steam because they see it as a way of having an online shop they can control (See the ridiculous pricing of CoD games on Steam. It's cheaper to buy a PC copy in a normal store for most of them.) without having to setup all the servers for the store itself like with EA.
Yeah, am finding the lack of remapped keyboard icons in the combo controls to be annoying.
Worse is the fucking lack of other controller support. I've got a Microsft gamepad, no analogue sticks but Castle Crashers doesn't need them. I got the Sega Classics Collection when I pre-ordered Hell Yeah! and I could use it on that, but Castle Crashers supports 360 controllers only?
Godamnit guys, you could've put a wee bit more effort into this port.
There's already a thread on this on the first page of the Video Games forum.

Hate to double-post, but I'm looking at the store page right now for the UK. 10 quid for the game, 30 quid for a 4-pack.
I had £15 leftover on Steam because I found Dayz to be... crap.
Enjoy my 10 quid guys.

Same routine as 2011 really. Head to Namco. Get on dodgems. Steal everyone's hats. Get smashed by everyone and suffer a concussion.
Ya'know, the usual. Anyway I'm always down for a meet.

Do Visual Novels count?
If not, probably Fallout 3/New Vegas. The little easter eggs you find, like someone's skeleton wedged behind a door with pre-war cash covering the body. No direct explaination as to what happened to the poor schmuck, so your imagination goes wild thinking about what happened to them.

You didn't even get to fight Mr Dark himself. What a fucking cop-out.
I did the GBC version. Still hard as fuck, just not as pretty.
I realise that promoting piracy is bad and a no no here but, you have the game on CD. You've paid for it.
If you know a way of easily getting it to work by getting the pirated version, then get the pirated version.
Dawnguard is massively overpriced for the content you get. Spec Ops: The Line apparently has a more realistic approach to warfare in terms of the morality of war and how it impacts the characters.
Wait until it comes out. Give it a few months to see if any games are coming out that interest you and that will make good use of the console's hardware.
At 8/3/12 11:30 PM, WhaleSnail wrote: That should be enough. There's also free ROMs all over the internet, but I think those are illegal. Also, I think coolrom.com tells you which ROMs are protected and which are legal.
The general consensus is that ROM's are only legal if you already own a physical copy of the game in question, though even this is disputable.
That said, ROM piracy, especially from the 16 bit era (Which is the most common type due to emulation software of consoles beyond that is typically rather iffy in terms of their accuracy and framerates) doesn't really impact on company profits due to there being no method of legitimately getting the game in question on the PC. Companies will typically only give a shit about things if it impacts their bottom line.
That said, this logic means you're a douche to pirate certain Mega Drive games. Sega uploaded a lot of them to Steam and there's the classics collection cd to buy too.
I think I just suffered an aneurysm.
