No. I tried different tracks. I know, you cant edit anymore if there are 10 or more people who has this as favourite. There is no option to edit the image -.-

Hi everyone,

i was wondering why i can edit the whole text and title of a audio submission, but cannot change the icon ?! Is this intentional ?

As i started to upload here (a year ago) i did not thought about it much, but now it bothers me. I would like to make new icons and apply them to the submissions.

Cheers

Don´t know if this is the right place, because it could look like advertising. But it is not !! Just want to show you a lot of professional and free music.

DJ PARALAX has done it again !!!

The 4th Mega-Mix with remixes from 8bit-Titels (C64) & tracks from the Amiga will be performed live tomorrow... and that with videostream ! It starts at 22:30 CET (if the soccer EM is finished then *g*) A complete tracklist & more infos can be found here: http://www.radio-paralax.de/index1.html

Mix includes tracks by:

Daxx Most of you may know him as "Chris Crusher", who already mixed for some big labels (e.g. Tunnel ect.) !
http://www.myownmusic.de/artistpage_info .php?artist_id=60508

DaFunk Nearly every Remix is a hit ;)

Hazel
http://remix.kwed.org/index.php?search=h azel

BeeZerk
http://remix.kwed.org/index.php?search=b eezerk

...and many more. Just try some links and listen to some tunes...i assure you, you´ll like it...or found some tracks you´ll love :D

At these sites you can listen and download a lot of tracks ! And most of the artist also have a MySpace-page or can be found at RKO and/or AmigaRemix.

Even more infos are here: http://www.radio-paralax.de/board/thread .php?threadid=2074 (german only)

Maybe you wanna check it out !?

Regards / Ic3m4n

PS: I just want to point to you to some great, free music, that unfortunatly is not uploaded here :( I hope this is okay !? If not, please move this thread or delete it ! But since everything is for free this is really no add, or is it ?!

it´s not completly impossible...have done it a few times, as you can hear in my track "Questing" (where MJ was used)...or by listening to these small bits:

Sido´s "Augen auf!"

Chakuza´s "Unter der Sonne"

Those where made by inverting one track and play them together...sure, it´s not perfect...you can hear some parts of the track, but if you want to use them in a remix, it´s quite ok.

As soon as Phase-X-807 get´s back with his bass-part, i can finish the track...hopefully everything works well together ;)

You don´t need a large number of tools to do this, if you have an instrumental & the original song (as long as both have the same arrangement). Is it that what you mean ?

Sounds awesome, dude !!!

Especially the part from 1:00 to 1:20 and the end :D That´s a really great interpretation ! *Thumbs Up*

The only thing that´s not okay now is the drums and the whole mixing/mastering...but thats something i have to deal with. Do you have a file with only your guitar part ? Or can you make one ? Don´t know how to implement it....

That would be cool, mate!

Unfortunatly i never learned to read (or write) notes...everything i know about music i have learned by try and error...and i use my ear as a guideline for remixes.

What i could do, is writing the notes down from the FL-patterns, but there are no pauses or anything that would be needed, just the plain notes.

Don´t know if this would be any help for you ?! -.-

< that lolipop is really annoying :(

Anywho....here are the versions
without bass guitar and without lead guitar.

I hope it´s good enough for you to work with...if you need anything else, just tell me.

Oh, and you don´t need to rush it...the track was laying around such a long time, so it doesn´t matter if it´s finished today, next week or next week ;)

Good Luck & Best Regards

At 6/18/08 11:13 AM, Kor-Rune wrote: I like this idea.

I can cover for the lead guitar for the shred solos and what not that are typical of power metal. Stratovarius used to be my favorite band before they got dry after elements, then broke up.

That´s fantastic !
There is no better qualifying than to be a fan of that music. Have you listened to this crappy try of mine ;) I have to admit that i have no clue when it comes to guitars...i still wonder how you can get all the notes with only 5 strings (if that´s the name for it ;) )...but gimme a keyboard or piano and i play it :D

So, how should we do this? How should we get started? Do you need the track without the actual guitar-tries? Or can you just start right away?

Ofcourse you´re free to play it your way...as long as the original melody is reconizable ;) So add or remove notes as your likening.

OK...here are some links:

If you have a SID player you can listen to the original C64 track here:
Bubble Dizzy (subtune 1 of 5)

And here is what i got so far:
Bubble Dizzy (Need-4-Speed)

Please keep in mind that this is a very early WIP...the drums are just temporarely placed and everything can & will be changed till final. I just experimented with the "Slayer" and wanted to sound right, but...

I think this WIP is worth a laugh....anywho....if you think you´re able to play this and if you want to be a part of it, then let´s finish this thing together.

Hi everyone,

since a lot of talented guitarist visiting this place, i think it´s worth a try to call for help here.

I have a track laying around where i was trying to imitate guitars with the build-in "FL Slayer"...it could be work for the bass guitar, but the lead sounds terrible. It´s a "Speed Metal" (or "Power Metal") remix of an old C64 game that plays now at around 200 BPM...if you know "Dragonforce" or "Stratovarius" you can imagine in wich direction the track should go.

I will upload a WIP outside of NG (because i already have uploaded two tracks today and i couldn´t find a WIP section for music) asap....and post the link here.

Anyone who´s interested, don´t hesitate to reply here. I would really appreciate your help and we could release this track as a collab.

Regards

Ic3m4n

Imho good guitarist are really rare... Have you ever looked into FL and tried to use FL Slayer ? It´s impossible for me to get a real sounding e-guitar :( I have a track laying around where i tried to imitate a bass and a lead guitar, but it sounds terrible. Maybe i don´t have the right plugin´s or whatever....anywho...it would be great if there is some talented guitarist who is willing to help me out with this track. I could also imagine a collaboration track. But i must warn you, the track (so far) plays at 200 bpm...i think this genre is called "Speed Metal" or "Power Metal" ;)

I would be happy to finally finish this track...maybe someone is interested ?
