I'm really happy to see so much positive feedback in this thread form other users. The makes me happy to be a part of newgrounds. I say paint/draw whatever keeps you inspired, heck, it's better to draw a bad picture, or a copied picture, or any picture than it is to draw no picture at all. I say draw draw draw, no matter what. You can't get worse.

I was big into comics as a kid, and what I tried to do was make sure I drew as much boring stuff, anatomy, still life, etc, as I did comic stuff. I'd draw a teapot and study the light, shadow, etc, and then reward myself by drawing some dude getting his head ripped off by a giant robot mantis.

I'm slowly coming to the conclusion it isn't so much WHAT you draw, but how you draw it. When you draw or copy some anime, really look at the art that inspires you and try to 'understand' the lines. Why does this work? Why did the artist do this? Why did they use this color? ETC- Understanding is what convincing art is all about.

Hey guys, been busy with work. We sold a few flash games, had to go the the ER, but I'll make it, tons of crap. But I'm back, I've gotta stay busy. So expect more.

Well, it has been three days and I haven't heard back about him. It isn't the end of the world, I'd just like to know how to avoid falling through the cracks like this in the future. Or if I'm just doing something dumb and I can't see it.

I added a medal a while back, been maybe a month? Can't remember the exact day for this game. I've added medals before and they were always approved after a couple of days.

Oh yeah, it was totally intentional, haha, we he was base don both Naveen Andrews and Oded Fehr, however once I put that long black hair on him there was no hiding it, haha. I'm not going to keep the design looking that much like him. But I still want to keep the character of Arab descent I think. I tend to study people with memorable faces to help add such traits to my own characters, I just didn't stray far enough from the source material 'yet'.

I love the style that you drew the background in. It's abstract, but yet it still carries that sense of realism that fits with the style of the character. The attention to detail on the character and the bike are also very nicely done, making it feel complete, for lack of a better word. The only suggestion that I have is that you add in a few more cool tones to the shadows. You don't need a lot more, but just a slight touch so that the image doesn't feel overwhelmingly warm.

Yeah, good calls, I'll look into that, originally it had a lot more purple but lost it towards the end. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm not sold on the last panel, gonna redraw it tonight or tomorrow morning one.
