I'm not looking for any specific accents, a few of the existing ones have a semi english sounding one.

Also, I've got quite a few emails. Havn't gone through them yet, but I appreciate it guys! I'll be sure to get to them asap and let you guys know! I really appreciate the help everyone! This is why Newgrounds rocks! :D

Response to: Welcome to the VA forum! Posted December 17th, 2014 in Voice Acting

Hey everyone! While I'm not a VA, I love working with them! I've used VAs in most of my games created right here on Newgrounds. And I ALWAYS try to hire musicians, artists, and voice actors from NG before looking anywhere else. Newgrounds for life! o7

The latter, I will probably have the npcs done in the next four or five days. I'll likely pick voices then if I've got some. But I might wait longer, I certainly work by no schedule. Thanks!

Response to: Paying for lines. Posted December 17th, 2014 in Voice Acting

Also, wanted to add. You can change the dialogue up a tiny bit if you need to make it sound more natural. These lines aren't in game yet. Just keep the gist the same. Thanks!

Paying for lines. Posted December 17th, 2014 in Voice Acting

If anyone wants to take a shot at it, I need a couple of lines. They're for high fantasy rpg villagers, so keep that in mind if you give it a shot. Try to make them sound between 20 and 40 in age as the sprites for them look abut that age. I need both genders.

"I heard old man Keagan tried to stop the beast, and he lost his hand in the process. Nasty bit that. He has trouble cutting his food now."

"I wouldn't go into the mines if I were you. That damned monster sleeps in there now."

"Looking to buy? Sell? You've come to the right place."

"My goods are the finest."

"It's going to be another hard winter. Perhaps things will be more easy now that the beast is no longer hunting our children."

"I know your type, you're one of those warriors from the north aren't you? We have warriors here too, and none of them could stop the beast."

"You're going to make things worse if you try to stop the beast. Just leave us alone."

Thanks guys! You can try one line, all of them, totally up to you! If you could email them to Hyptosis@gmail.com that'd be great, and included how you want to be credited in the game! I'll be paying for the lines I use too, not a lot, but what I can afford. So you'll need to have paypal as well. Thanks!

These are not the characters in the image, but the art for the game looks like this. The characters will be painted the same way. You can also see SOME progress on the game here -- Lorestrome

Response to: Realistic price range for VA work? Posted December 17th, 2014 in Voice Acting

I've been hiring voice actors for years. My pay rate is 2 dollars per line. It isn't a lot, but it adds up fast on the spender's side. This year alone I've paid over 2.5k JUST to voice actors. At 2 dollars a line.

Zbrush doesn't have as much a learning curve as a learning wall, just explore a lot. You can hold ctrl over almost anything and get a little popup window that summarizes that that particular tool does.

Nice work!

Dude, I did not know about the ctrl thing! Thanks for sharing! ^5

You, just using the upload feature is best. I tried links and stuff, it never works as well as the built in function.

Digging the work man, and I love this cyberpunk gal. Thanks for sharing semi-early in the image's life, I love seeing the build up. Keep it up man, and thanks for joining the forum!

Regardless, thank you for your feed back.

Well, anyway, this is a cool image. I think I like the increases contrast version in the second post, I think it helps it some, but even without those changes you did a great job! I love strong geometric shape sin the middle of sublime nature. Keep it up!

Paragon4Life: Great work, I dig the bold outline and instruction booklet vibe. I dunno if all you art is in the style, you certainly don't want it to be a crutch, but I'm digging it in this single piece. Keep it up man, thanks for sharing! She looks like a very bright character, she is from a megaman game correct?

TheWalshinator1: Yeah dude, with Loving on this one. I don't even know what I'm seeing. Did you take the photo?

HMD224: Looks like a cool character man, keep it up and don't draw the same thing/pose over and over. Mix it up! If it feels hard, that means you're learning! And getting noticed is SO HARD. I see artists who are SO GOOD, and they don't have any followers, no comments, etc. It's cruel. If you're choosing to try to be an artist, you're choosing to have your heart broken. Just remember to try to do it for you, not for the attention of others. Stay cool!

I love the slim design, that said, I also love being able to dig through all the archives and stuff. A lot of what I enjoy about NG is content I find that was made 6 years ago, etc. I'd hate to lose that ability to easily dig through the back issues.
