Alright. I'm not being rude when I'm exposing a fake. But anyways, let's see what the outcome of this is. Like I said, if she steps up and actually draws something from VerdRages page, then great! I'll come out and fully apologize to her, and compliement her for being an AMAZING artist. But, until she can prove it, my suspicion stands.

I'll get to work on it soon!

Hmph that's what she would reply. I'm showing you guys how easy it is to "fake" artwork. She can look up more Zerg refs and simply copy those and post them. I searched around the interent and have a wealth of Zerg information as well as other topics that VerdRage draws. So I'm prepared. When "natane" shows up and puts up her picture, we'll clearly see where she's taken it from. And, if she has indeed drawn an original picture, then great, I will be convinced. But for now, I still hold my suspicions. You see how easy it is to imitate her fake way of speaking? C'mon. "Hi My art will posted here" ? She's faking not knowing english for sure.

Hey, nice comic book panels you got going on there. The way you draw armour is really awesome! I was flipping through your thread and your artwork amuses me to no end. Love it.

I've just joined this community recently, but its awesome to see people returning after SO MANY years. Grats.

The My Little Pony stuff is cute, funny, and heavily influenced by current internet culture, internet pop-culture if you will. The Pop Art movement was just that, taking popular icons and popular characters and putting them in artworks. Nowadays people label it "fanart" which it is, but it doesn't mean its not good. Fanart is interesting because it allows you to express your love for a certain franchise, and it serves as good practice materiel. You can practice drawing already-made characters, rather than making up new characters from your head everytime you want to get some drawing practice in. Hey, everyone needs an inspiration to do original characters. I'd love to see some of your other artworks too, though!

You know why I really enjoy this artwork? Because its an abstraction. A true abstraction because it actually takes an ideal - the things you were ingesting - and it portrays it well. Technical skill with come with time, but your concepts and ideas are just bubbling with intrigue. That is impressive!

Firstly, welcome back! Secondly, you art is great. It reminds me of a nice cel-shaded style. The sold chunks of colour in different values is really simple and appealing. Its perfect art for something like a flash animation or game.

None of those blogs or forums are the original post.
Those are just image threads and tumblrs that don't credit their artists.

Exactly. Those are all results of that image being posted far in advance of when "natane" posted it here. She implied that it was sketched out quickly for the forum. I presume TurkeyOnAStick was a little suspicious, as was I. This is why I believe TurkeyOnAStick requested "natane" to do a quick sketch of another character in a completely different pose, to verify if "natane" was really drawing these things, or just copying from another established artist. Now, don't fret, I have considered the possibility that "natane" on here might actually be a famous/recognized artist on pixiv and whatnot. If this is the case, my apologies Natane, your artwork is tremendous and also extremely popular all over the internet. If it is not, I suggest you explain what's going on here.

Regardless, I'm just going to wait on Natane's response to my claims.

Here's some more work on it. I've taken a better approach that most tutorials recommend, which is getting a perfectly clean lineart first before pixeling in the colour. This should save me time and energy so I'm not constantly correcting anatomical mistakes after I've started applying colour.

Sorry for triple posting. But 'Natane' care to explain this? I've dug up some more dirt here. The bulbasaur cuddling the pokeball was taken directly again from the above mentioned pixiv and edited to look like it had been sketched out. Also the 'custom' pikachu pose is clearly taken from this google images picture.

Haha! Yes, I see what you mean! Too many pokemon art work in this topic, right!? They are so cute. I mostly draw from them! I don't like my own ideas the characters aren't as good as from Pokemon! If you mean to draw other characters not just pokemon, I have Inizuma eleven mixed with pokemon!

Yeah "natane" I'm pretty sure you are a fake. I've stumbled upon this pixiv account with all your "works" http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=62238

Care to explain? Its not hard to fake sounding Japanese like I just demonstrated.

Just a side note, if a moderator see this, perhaps it would be appropriate to put a 'NSFW' tag in the Topic title, since the works in this thread are getting progressively, y'know, not safe for work.

I tried to do some animation with that pixeled girl. Just a little prodding and bounce test. Its by no means good. First try at animated spriting with this stretch and pull technique - kinda like what Pokemon Black and White did with the Pokemon constantly moving yet their sprites are really just stretching and contorting. With small sprites it looks horrendous, but with larger ones like this, it looks passable I guess. I hope the animation actually works on the forums.

More progress on the larger pixel art. I'm getting kinda tired of it, I might put it aside and do something else for a bit then come back to it. Maybe I should do some subject matter that doesn't involve females?
