Athiesm is not a belief system. It is different to Christianity and other religions because it doesn't follow any rules other than "Don't believe in God", which is the definition. It doesn't make sense to say "Atheists believe...." unless the following is akin to "...that God doesn't exist."

Personally, I am an atheist, though I find the idea of an afterlife very appealing. I very much agree with science, although science has yet to explain, or create a perfect definition of, life. Therefore the afterlife is still a plausible belief in accordance with scientific theories.

Oh yeah, and, for the record atheism =/= belief in science.

Just a bit of knowledge, and in a vain attempt to stop people spamming ~DESU.

The word "desu" is the verb "to be", more or less, in Japanese. Tenses make no difference to the verb, so it's just "desu" all the time.

A few other little notes:

"Watashi wa" means "As for me"
"Anata wa" means "As for you"
and.... I forgot the rest :)

When did you first learn about Newgrounds?

I started making short sprite animations in Fireworks around early '04, and a friend of my brother's showed me this site to submit them onto. I never did submit them, but I've been on here since, having found some animations that I really enjoyed (These, for the most part, were LegendaryFrog's and MetalMaverick's works, so kudos to them).

What do you most enjoy about the site?

I love the general forum, when it has good threads, and the quality works on here, be it art, music or flash.

Given one day at the reins of the site, what would you change, what would you fix?

Well, having submitted a lot of audio, I cannot help but hate the Audio voting system, since it has far fewer voters than the flash forum. This means it's more susceptable to 0-bombing, meaning a lot of quality work goes under the radar. I would add some form of experience to the audio portal, simply to attract larger numbers of voters.

Is there anything you miss, that you'd like to see back? (I.E. Old Blam/Save Animations)

Very little really. It was a shame to lose the animated sigs, and the old B/S animations were awesome. Apart from that, I think the redesign is much better than the older Newgrounds I signed up to.

You clearly have no understanding of how these movies work. I know what will happen if you (somehow) get someone to be your slave and do all the work for you (as you are asking). You will ask for a commitment, and it will go fine for a few weeks. Then you will give up.

Simple as.

No-one is going to take you seriously if you can't spell, or aren't willing to do anything to help towards your project other than a vague concept.

Try explaining yourself a little clearer.

What I think you're asking is how to capture the image of a movieclip and save it as a file on the user's computer.

This is possible, but I'm not certain how to do it.

If you say: "I can since everything is possible" you fail again, since to say that, you first have to prove that everything is possible.

See where I'm going?

Scientific theory states that everything is possible.

It is possible. If you begin to think of things on a sub-atomic level, there is always the possibiltiy of things not doing what is neccessarily expected of them. In this case, every atom in your body not reacting to heat when it should. The probability of this happening, of course, is very very low (I'm talking 0.1x10^-99999999999999999999999999999999 9999999999999999999999999 percent, for one atom), but low probability, no matter how low, as long as it isn't 0, is possibility.

Topic: Does existence have a beginning?

Posted: 10/17/09 02:26 PM

Forum: General

Personally, I like the idea of the Helix Universe. What this describes is that the size of the Universe, which at this moment in time is expanding, will eventually reach a maximum, and contract again (it is feasable that time will begin to flow backwards here too). When the Universe reaches a single point of matter again, it begins to expand once more, in a never ending loop. A diagram of this looks roughly like a Double Helix. In this way, energy is conserved, yet the Big Bang can still exist.

Remember, outside the Universe, time does not exist. The Universe contains the dimensions that we experience, and so "outside" it, there can be no time. Therefore, we cannot really talk about a "start" of existance anyway, since before the Universe, time cannot exist.

This is why I like this theory, it makes so much sense of all of these things.

Pretty much this. Except for the mirror question.

A standard Mirror consists of two components:

A sheet of glass.
A sheet of silver material.

The glass is placed in front of the silver material, both preventing light from passing through the glass, and increasing the reflectiveness.

This proves that the colour of a mirror is in fact silver, as the silver material is still behind the sheet of glass, but the reflected images take presidence over it.

Mouse controls are used in the menu. Point and click!

-The jumping feels off. I think it's that Up is the default jump, perhaps. Or maybe just that I'm used to playing with an actual controller.

If you don't like the default controls, change them!

-The Goombas hit you WAY too hard at first. You should just be hit back a small amount if you haven't taken a hit yet.

This is an issue that will need fixing.

-I couldn't get Vs. to work at all. Maybe you didn't do that mode yet, but when I got to the character select it was just broken and I couldn't select anything but Items. Again, no mouse controls.

Drag the pointer onto the character selection, you should see small coloured discs at the bottom of the screen.

Super Nuke Bros. Melee is a Super Smash Bros fangame developed by Callum Stamp and TaroNuke. The game works very similarly to Smash Bros, but with alterations, new characters and stages and more!

Daily updates have begun on the site, and a playable demo is there. I, myself am working as the game's musician (Note: we do have other musicians working as well), a beta tester, and a general handyman.

What I ask is for feedback on this game. We have plenty already, but it's nice to get some constructives for once.

If you want, we also have a forum you can sign up to in which much exclusive discussion happens.

So, comments would be happily appreciated!
