That's a great idea! Someone make a thread about it!
Problem is though, that I don't have any original characters to trade away, as I've made none.

But man, I stopped slapping people with the rules months and months ago, as long as their thread without a starting picture had a valid question.
Yeah, it used to be people (including me) making posts just to complain about threads breaking rules. The last months it has tended to only be mentioned in a bi sentence, if that.
How do you use textures? I really like how it looks, so I wondered how you do it!

Draw.
no, but really, I've been trough that, it's awful to feel you're not improving even after spending a lot of work and time into drawing.
Best tip I can give you is draw much, but draw for fun. I find it I improve the most when I don't worry about improving.

From what I have found it it's a trace/heavy reference of the character licca from Super Doll Licca-chan
OP was kind enough to let us know who it was.
I'm not gonna bother watching an entire anime, looking for one frame where the character looks like this, so I skimmed trough the first intro theme or whatever.

Don't think many people on NG are interested in investing their time on newbie animators, no offense.
Animation requires a certain level of drawing skills, so I'd suggest you start there. If you're very serious about animating, I recommend you draw some still life drawings. Go back into animating in about a year or so, and I'm certain you'll find it much easier to animate at that point!

Could be a special item related to the character. I've seen similar stuff in games and movies.
5. read the rules never ask to be scouted.
Not really a rule; more of an advice
6. No one would scout you anyway because you suck.
No need to be rude.
7. Your sig; I clicked it and that's just immature and stupid and I thought the internet was over that shit.
This thread is not about the sig
8. I hope you know that it is now my personal mission to destroy you.
Again, no need to be rude: 10. Get the fuck out of Newgrounds you piece of shit we do not need douchebags of your level.
I'd like for you to read the rules again ... Especially the one that states "All criticism must be constructive. The art forum is intended to be a POSITIVE environment and negativity is not welcome here"
To OP: Post original art please. Do not ask to be scouted.
That is all.
Happy thanksgiving for those who celebrate it!
And happy 1-year-as-a-moderator-day to Toas!
I would draw something if I wasn't drowning in work

Say ...
- All art collabs must follow the collab rules (link to rules in the collab forum ...............)
- All activity threads and art collabs should start with a pic, as a decent example of what is expected.
Personally I still think linking to the most used/useful pages would be great. Mainly the lounge and art101

Hey there fellow Newgrounders!
I am currently experimenting a lot with different sounds and stuff, nothing too good.
My main problem is that GarageBand only comes with a few pretty shitty instruments. So instead of mindlessly googling around for audio plugins (note that I do not really know what I am looking for, just a general base of good-sounding plugins), I though I'd ask you guys!
Basically I'm looking for anything and everything. What do you have yourself? What do you use the most?
Some good classical instruments would be good!
The day Tom Fulp visited the art forum!
Hi Tom!
Okay so let me get this straight:
You want to make a game, but you can't draw for it, so you're posting in the art forum looking for someone to animate free for you.
Oh, and they'll have to program it aswell because you can't program either?
Good luck, Sir.

Oh, and I don't really understand what's going on.
I realize you want feedback on the shading, but I thought it was worth mentioning:
Your perspective is all off. It does not make sense.
I suggest you read a tutorial about two-point perspective because really, it's dead simple.
Here, I corrected some of the lines so you can see what I mean.
As for the shading, it looks okay I suppose ...
It's not very hard to shade a box though, I would suggest trying to move on to more organic stuff, like trees, cliffs, people, animals and so on.
I don't have that wallpaper
