Do you want a capitalized "A"? as in "Autograph", or small, like "autograph"?

Either way, what size do you need it to be?

I don't really know how the system works, maybe I'm not really helping, but here's three more authors with a bunch of genres waiting to be set.

I always found DesignYourWay's tutorials very handy. I've learn a lot from there.

It's a good site for tutorials, as well as a great inspirational resource.

Response to: I'm new here so... Posted February 5th, 2011 in Art

Hey there! Welcome to the art forum!
"I'm new" threads aren't that bad really, and this one has some art to back it up so it's all good!

As for art creation itself, I'd say try drawing original stuff. Generally, it's easier to draw on paper, but since you've got yourself a handy dandy tablet, I figure digital art is the way you wanna go?
Either way, drawing over images doesn't really take as much skills as drawing original characters from the top of your head or from reference, so try doing that!

But good thinking nonetheless.

Actually, this thread allows the sound vibe itself to be captured in art form, whereas the lyrics thread is limited to the text.

I don't know if this is the right way to do this or anything, but this guy needs some genres going.

I'm redoing my banners and Icons, so this would be cool if it was done in time :3

Not sure how I'd do it though, fonts must be black and white, whilst I'm using three colours for that. I would have to remove the outline somehow. Either that, or dither the fill

Flash, except for the generic 3D one, which is Photoshop.

Also, are you going to share the font?

If I finish the font I will!

Actually, this looks kinda better, debating whether or not to swap this with the one in the art portal

This is really cool!
Only thing is, a lot of detail seems to slip away when the canvas is so big. It makes all the details seem to drown away in a massive blank space.

But apart from that, very cool! Please post more!

For this one:
The composition in this photograph is not good, the black door thing covers up too much of the image, whilst the rest is being drowned in nothing. Also, the texture inside the door thing is all gone. I would be okay with that, but there's a little grain in there hinting there should be more. I suggest recomposing the photo, and show all or none of the texture in the door. Maybe either works, I don't really know

For the one you posted before that:
Composition is good enough, but in this case, the whole image is drowning in black. not different kinds of black, just #000000 black. That is bad because the image has lost all its detail. Also, the contrast and colours are kind of an eyesore, so change that.

On this planet, highly nutritional liquid flows from certain mountains. This liquid usually condensates once it leaps out of the mountains. The condensation forms in spirals of various sizes and is still highly nutritional. These aliens' main source of nutrition is exactly these spirals of condensation.

Response to: [submit] Jan 2011 Movie Jam Stories Posted January 28th, 2011 in Writing

Once upon a time there was a user that wanted to have his story read in a dramatic voice by tom fulp.

The user then proceeded to make a story. Then a unicorn with a penis for a horn then entered the room with a ginger kid with a green sweater riding it, entered the room.
The user then went "OMGWTF!" and then he was too lazy to finish his story.

Also stamper cared

Well, when I want things to glow, I usually just fill in the basic colours first, shade it completely, ignoring the glow, and then I'd treat the glow as a light source and highlight accordingly. Light sources are bright in the centre, so you might have to fade the eye out to promote the idea of it glowing.

No, however, there's a bar below where you can upload small images. If your photos are too large (most of the time photos will be) you can scale it down and link to a higher resolution file somewhere else.
