RE: Internet Apps

I also find this exciting. I loved (and still love I guess) the old version. Incredible for a flash program. I want to see many more things like this. If you bring programs to the internet, then money doesn't have to be made from selling the product, you make it from sponsorship and advertising. I'd rather see that then poor kids having to shell out hundreds of their parent's dollars just to be creative.

Your portfolio should be much more personalized than simply being your deviantart account. Try carbonmade.com. Or even better, make your own site. If you're serious about getting a job, it's worth the meager ammounts that a website actually costs these days.

i saw this in your raid force rpg thread a while ago. I'd like something along these lines to exsist. I hate posting up RPG script ideas and whatnot here. It's not focussed enough of a crowd and people usually don't take any intrest in it. Good luck!

Try and see if some people who make RPG tutorials for NG and other websites will let you use them for your site.

Oh, and you need a better logo. I'd charge a little, but I'm sure we could work something out.

You even use the portal colors. Why don't you strive for a little more originatily and take your concept a little further than dodge falling copyrighted things.

This here's a cd cover I made for this band. I think I should say that YES I will make metal things, but I also love to do not metal design. Get it? Good.

Flash makes terrible gifs sometimes and I don't know why. Here's the same thing but in flash. Sorry!

Need a critique (Character Model) Posted March 26th, 2008 in Art

This is a character for a new cartoon I'm working on. All the other characters will have mostly the same parts just modded a little. All of the parts will be tweened. I can't fbf a sitcom flash.

Coaly put in his two cents and I replied a good bit of what I might have to repeat here, so I'll just say it now

Well, the main writers asked that I kept the style simple. Nothing too detailed. They were talking about something along the lines of the Home Movies. I didn't want to go so far in that direction, but also wanted to make them look distinguishable from other flash movies. I don't know how to keep it simple and not make them look flat. Proportions are also not supposed to be correct. I like balls as hands.

So please help.

I concur. Incredibly boring, and I'm stuck in the computer lab for like another couple hours.

Ah damn it, I meant to include a link to an updated version of the model. Whatever, double post.

It doesn't feel very planned out, it's super stiff, super flat, the proportions are odd, especially the head to the body and face on the head, the eyes and eyebrows are strange, maybe add some color or white eyes, and the mouth is just a weird line too, feels kinda thrown on...ah, wait, the skin is so light my lcd blended the whites in... anyway yea the face and head shape feels strange. Also the hands aren't hands, they'e balls...

I did fix up the eyebrows and mouth a little bit.

Please continue to give your opinions!

I appreciate it Coaly

I always try and offer food to hobos instead of money. Too bad they never fucking take it. Even if you just want money for drugs, take the free meal. Ugh.

Character Model

I need opinions on my character model.

Link

This will be the basic build for all the characters. They're just going to be tweened figures for the most part. I just want them to be recognizable and easy on the eyes.

Well?

Here's a flyer I made for Outclassed (again) and Bearathon and their summer tour last year. Too bad they didn't get used (they got vomitted on).
