I actualy have finished an animation in a similar style to this. All blocky and chunky. I just have to get some music and sound effects for it and then i can release it :)

Sweet. Make sure to link it once its done, id like to see how youve animated in this style ;D

Why, this is interesting. Nice designs. I like the empty black space with these abstract like shapes and figures flying around in the frame. And those faces get me excited. A style that i like to do some times myself. And i like it a lot.

What tools have you used here for the lines? Could you make a noir concept with full humans as well? Thatd be awesome to see.

How would you react if a normal person were to draw renamon but she's pratically tearing off their his limbs in the most disgusting matter based on her "sick little fans that go to far?

I would laugh. HAHA. That only shows the irony of how Renamon would really treat the sick little fans, in her way. Sweet pleasure, FOR RENAMON THAT IS. She would love to shove her long paws up their asses and send them flying off to the stars... where kirby would eventually suck them in and shit meteor showers in rainbow colors! HAPPY ENDING! asdfghjkjhgfdfg

Ok seriously, i would love to see a satiric drawing of Renamon giving the yiff fans a hard time. Because them degrading perverts deserve it. Personally yeah like you said, tearing their limbs off in the most gruesome way. Yes sir bring that on please. ;)

If Renamon was real and someone actually tried to fuck with her or disrespect her in any way, i would headbutt that sucka and rearrange his face. But uhhh if she wasnt, i wouldnt actually had cared less if the guy was making rape drawings because there are already too many of them all over from before. Id say fuck that faggot and let him dream. He can forget about respect though cause he already knows what Renamon would say about it anyway if she was real.

Dont worry. Well hey besides, youre really good at drawing faces from sideway up close. I remember i used to be there too. What to do? Well, YOU PRACTICE AND CHALLENGE YOURSELF ;D And thats what youre currently doing, and that requires some balls sometimes because some people are afraid of showing their flaws. As for me, im a perfectionist and now i only post stuffs that i think are OK. Pff anyways what im saying is, youre not even afraid to admit that you mess up. Strong confidence right there, which also means you will be pumping even greater artwork in about not too long.

well I'll keep working on my styling of anime till i get allot of different types lol :P, glad you say i'm doing good at lest lol

Absolutely, i dont lie. I always want to bring it safe, clean and honest about your work. No mumbo jumbo or any other stupid petty shit. When i say its nice, it has a weight in it because its coming from my own personal measurement and i define it instead of hiding it. And i say you have a pretty good thing goin on right now. Good shading tones, good comical captions, nice and clean lines and overall above the decent of quality. Just mess with the angles, and you will grasp their perspectives like you should. Thats the way of us artists.

in the mean time i going to show the start of a preview i am doing for my graphic novel lol so it still got allot of work to go on it but anyways I will show what i have all ready lol enjoy

Well, this looks pretty good. You remind me of a friend of mine at DA who also does mangas. Very manga influenced. Personally i think that the guy in the middle, his face is too long in comparison to the 2 others. Other than that the style is really sturdy here, but if youre gonna make a comic then you could draw up spaced frame lines inbetween each panel if you already havent planned so. That would give it a more professional look. So yeah, good tones and shadings and decent crosshatching below there in the second panel. Its looking really interesting, cant wait to see what more youre gonna whip up for the comic. :)

Renamon... taste for human blood? :o

She would usually obtain data from dead digimons, but nah no way she would be ferocious. Maybe she would go on killing spree if someone killed her partner, but feasting on humans would not be considered normal from her side. Foxes/kitsunes dont eat humans.

Response to: Building the Musculature Posted November 18th, 2008 in Art

The rib cage structure area, its throwing me off. Well unless youre working from a rear perspective, but still his right side is going far too wide out which makes it look unnatural. Very unbalanced with the right scapula too (the right back plate thing).

Here, study this simple view. Soon as you get under the rib cage, its nothing more than just meat and flesh and from here you can add as much layers of flesh as youd like to (depends on how slim or fat the guy is supposed to be). Until you hit the pelvis.

Other than that, i like the face. And the tones youve added to bring out the abs. Excellent. :)

Hey man sorry for idling in the forum.

That pic, it got decent shading. And you really seem to aim for anime throughout most of your work. So you wanna be an anime artist eh? As long as you got the proportions locked on and all the basic anatomical parts checked, its all cool. And you are doing well on that, despite some of your work is non consistent with each others in terms of quality. Id say try experimenting more with anime faces and try giving them more than just a pointy chin... well not all of them got a pointy chin, just suggesting that you should broaden your insight even more. Maybe some character with a wider jaw to display his physical characteristics. Anime is a really simple and slick style that requires nothing more than stylized outlines and for most of the time hatching. You know, the general anime look. Anyways youre good on the rest of your work.

Keep it up, youre really catching up on your deigns. :)

Came out pretty well I think, and since I had some spare time, I decided to give an example of my poor humor on it, so here's the 'joke' in case it is too blurry to read;
"Minahra's first day on UDF - Overlord"
- Attention! Officer on deck!!!
- At ease, everyone; Corporal, bring me some oil, I seem to need oiling...
- ............ Ummm, mam?
- For my HAND, it's making wierd noises...
- Ah, 'Course, right away mam!
* Unfortunately, the Corporal just can't seem to be able to find any oil, so...*
[To bridge broadcast] - Does anybody know where I could find some oil? Captain Minahra requires oiling!!
* Sudden, uncomfortable silence *
- Uhh, um, I mean for her robotic, I mean her automated arm, uh, yeah, heh heh.

Guess that just made my day, off to sleep! :F

She looks badass. To the bone... robotics.

I like her walking pose. Seems like more and more lizards with robotic parts are coming aboard. I cant spot any flaws right now. Good figure pose. And a ton of details like always. Shes a great character. Buff too. I like it. :)

Haha damn. That creature with the crane on its back, it looks marvelous. I really like the way youve drawn in the details. And the veins. Yummy. Thumb up.

And your ryuk sketch. Good facial shadings. And a slightly insane face expression. :D He reminds me of vegeta from dbz. And what spiky hair he got, almost reminds me of my own hair. Wicked.

And the full metal alchemist drawing. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Drawn from a cover? Either way, it looks great. I like her eye, the curves are really fine. And very nice job on the hands, its my weakpoint... >:( Nonetheless i like the details and the overall shadings. The overall pic made me go "... damn". Surprised. Very clean lines and tones. As I mentioned before, I pretty much redesinged Chyrie... so...
The only thing that needs fixing on the colored pic will be her overly long waist, it will be shortened.

Hope you like her new looks.

I like her face... :)

The Algra pic looks pretty swell! Really nice tones. Even though the butterfly has been used before, its not like its been copyrighted. So youre all good in my book. This is my favorite drawing. I love it.

And finally Gelorah in his dragon form. Looking pretty neat. Although it looks like hes about to trip on his own tail :\ And his left leg needs to be pulled more back to fit in the perspective. Other than that, its pretty good with its shaded tones and details. And im categorizing this one in my D file too, for delicious.

Awesome, i have a feeling that youve improved or spent some extra time on them more than usual. Dis is gud. Keep it up Fatchaos. :D

Problem submitting pic? Just save it on your computer and attach it to your post.

Anyways looks like you got her rib/chest and her pelvis area covered. About fleshing it out, i suggest you should check this out for example. Itd be complex to explain it to you anyway but, what i can say is that the body is built up of overlapped muscles. What area needs that amount of mass depends on which body part youre working on. Heres something more relevant for ya.

I hope it helps. :)

Response to: Hissy the cacodemon Posted November 13th, 2008 in Art

Listen to dave mayn hes right

i know how you think that sprites look better when edited/recolored, but then again

lack of original work will backfire at ya

grab a pencil (no matter type), and draw. Just practice on the same figures, curves and the same characters if you wanna go the easy way. Work your way up to where you want to be. You might start off rough, but the drawing mechanism inside you will adjust over time and you will be able to do your shit.

I hope you take our advices. Good luck.
