That's right. There are other matches between Germany and England with a much better result for Germany.
You manke it sound like you've won every other match you've played against us :P

Haha, I knew you would mention this game. :P
Anyway, at least the german team can win penalty shootouts. IIRC their record is still flawless. :P

Nope, only after Seasons in the Abyss. THEN they sucked.

Well, as said above Slayer is better than Manowar. But I still rather listen to some cool bands than listening to Slayer.

Listen to them whenever you can. Last.fm won't be going anywhere.
Yeah, right now I have just too much on my plate (like doing another 18 audio requests...). And people thought the same about audioscobbler as well. :P

Yeah, tomorrow or at the weekend, hopefully.

Hi there. Please allow me to correct your last sentence:

Ich bin glücklich, weil ich in der Deutschen Crew bin!

If you don't know how to type the umlauts, just add an 'e' after the character you want to write as an umlaut. So ae = ä, oe = ö and ue = ü. So you can just write "gluecklich". ;)

There really isn't a translation for the word "Crew" in german, at least not for the context it is used here.

As for the word "sein" (in terms of "to be") the conjugation is:
Ich bin
Du bist
er/sie/es ist
wir sind
ihr seid
sie sind.
So you should've used "bin" instead of "bist". ;)

I don't know the origins of this one, but have done some research into 10 German Bombers - not as funny as "Hitler had only got one ball"

Yeah, the last one is amazing. But I think people already searched for the lost ball in the Albert Hall, but didn't find anything.

Also, Three World Cups. That's two more.
Yeah, but you'd surely think that there was a lot more meaning in a World War than a World Cup ;)

That's right, but no person in their right mind is unhappy that Germany lost the WW II. ;)
Apart from that, it was the US again who saved our asses. ;)

Yeah, but those contries are still dangerous opponents. Especially the african teams, I think people will root for them just because they are from an african country (ie people from South Africa will root for Ghana, and so on). This will make the african teams pretty strong, I think.

Yeah, it's going to be fun, meeting you guys in the first match of Group C. I was fearful of a "Group of Death", but it could have gone too far the other way, as we'll have to play a quite a bit tougher opponent in the second round. We'll see how it pans out. Quietly optimistic is my opinion at present.

England will only make it to the eighth final. There they will lose yet another penalty shootout against Germany. :P

Darren McCarty's wasn't much better though - pushing Lemieux to the boards and managing to knee him in the head. I long for the glory days, where we can deliver good clean hits on Detroit and start the melee all over again!

"Brawl in Hockey Town" Part 3?
Matches between those two teams where always exciting to watch back then. But then I slowly lost interest in ice hockey. :/

Do you love Denver sports teams for some reason? And oh yeah did you check out the World Cup Schedule. What's up with that!
Haha, Coop likes Denver sports teams and I seem to like Detroits sport teams. I also have a soft spot for the Pistons. ^^
Yeah, but I guess from the above statements that you don't like the Tigers (baseball) and I'm not sure about the Lions (NFL) Does Detroit have an MLS team?

Well, american football is almost as boring to watch as baseball, but I my favorite team in the NFL are the Minnesota Vikings. But that's just because I had a baseball cap (well, should be called "football cap" ^^) when I was younger. Then some douche tried to steal it from me and I never wore it again. ^^

Tssk. The only interesting match in the entire group phase is Portugal - Brazil =/ I find most of the other groups pretty sad and uninteresting to be honest.

I was also glad our country still got Denmark as an opponent. At least we got a little bit of competition now. I don't expect much from Japan and Cameroon to be honest.

Well, you shouldn't underestimate Japan and Cameroon. I think they are stronger than Denmark. But everything but to win this group would be a huge disappointment for Holland.

Same goes for Germany in their group, Serbia and Ghana are dangerous opponents, but Germany should win this group.

Anyway, I wish they just got rid of the protected status for awesome countries... I'd rather have a group of death with Holland, Brazil, Italy and Germany than only having interesting matches near the finals. It already seems predetermined who's gonna get to the second round and who isn't.

Yeah, but it's about the money, not the sport. Or more about the money than the sport. The TV rights for a final "Brazil vs Spain" could be sold much better to other countries than say "Denmark vs New Zealand".

Cool, I love comparisons:

1/12 - 49 B/P; 13 Blams
2/12 - 49; 16
3/12 - 37; 4
4/12 - 52; 7
5/12 - 61; 12
Hooray for comparing!

30/11 - 35 with 3 blams
01/12 - 24 with 4 blams
02/12 - 45 with 3 blams
03/12 - 44 with 8 blams
04/12 - 57 with 8 blams

*hops on the bandwagon*
01.12. - 19 with 6 blams
02.12. - 10 with 5 blams
03.12. - 20 with 5 blams
04.12. - 24 with 4 blams

So, my pace is very low, but I manage to get about the same amout of blams as Auz does. :P
I think I changed my voting habits since I reached SC, plus I really want to get onto the top blammers list. I guess because of those factors I vote 0 or 1 on flashes I would have tried to save about a year ago. Or I'm just fed up with spam submissions and try to blam most of them.
Most of the time I even get more blams than saves, so the last week isn't really representative.
For example on 28th of november I had 24 B/P with 16 blams, the day before 17 B/P with 9 blams.. ok, on 26th I had 43 B/P with 19 blams, which means I had more saves. But still it seems as if this is quite a lot of blams in comparison. ;)

Oh well. Next year, no LOTR in Easter and besides, they can be shown at anytime unlike hundreds of bland Christmas films where they are limited to Christmas.

I think they've shown LOTR for Christmas as well... but I'm not so sure about that. ^^

Not just your university, ANYTHING! I mean, are there any breaks for other religious holidays?
Christmas? :P
So what about Kwanzaa and Hanukkah?

As I've said, most european countries have a christian background, so why should there be breaks for Kwanzaa or Hanukkah in a country if it has no cultural/religious background?

Nope, it's hate as in hating the piece of SHIT!

Are you from Europe by any chance? Because... well, me, Coop, Bahamut, Auz and a few others are from Europe as well and we know.. well at least I know what you mean. Most flashes get submitted while I'm asleep. This still didn't hinder me to get a pace around 40 a day during my most active time. Now I'm struggeling to get a pace above 15!

Depending on the time l log on, there are 3-10 submissions under judgment...so l have to wait 3-4 hours for more sumbissions to come..and l am not on NG all day long :(

Well, the portal guard helps a lot.

YAY! Thanks for the update!

Coop and Haggard managed to get all the reviews again... (they must have some sort of device which does reviews for them...)

Or people that remind them that they still have reviews to do. ;)

Oh, and two more things. Firstly, I'll be starting the 'Average per Member' statistic next week, since I won't be able to because this is my very first update and I don't know what the user's original amount of reviews were and can't calculate how many reviews he did.

"Average per member" is based on all members and you did calculate it, but put it on the "Average per request" column instead. :P
We had 3.93 reviews per request if my calculations are correct (and I think they are). ;)

Member's Update #21:
[#] [Total] [Total Stats] [Total Ratio] || [Gain] [Weekly Stats] [Weekly Ratio] [Username]
1 ) 3055 | 477 / 477 | 100.00% || 430 | 70 / 70 | 100.00% | Coop83
2 ) 3031 | 473 / 478 | 098.95% || 008 | 70 / 70 | 100.00% | Haggard

No changes here, except for that we both broke the 3000 points barrier. And that my gain seems to be way off. Should be 430 as well, not just 8. ;)

Anyway, those are only minor mistakes. I think I did some major ones the first few times I updated the list, so your start was better than mine. Again, thanks for the update! :)

Yeah it does, but the list is much easier to handle if posted in the traditional way. Now it's so dragged out that I have to scroll to see what I already did review and what I didn't review.

Just some statistics. "Average per member" is "total amount of reviews done by mebers divided by total nunber of members" and "average per request" is "number of members who have reviewed a requested flash/audioo/art divided by total number of members".

It's just some nice stats to play around with, you can leave them out if you want to.
I'm not planning on leaving them out; I want the update to be exactly like Sonofkirk's so you guys don't have anything new to get used to ^^. So, let me get this straight. If there are 10 members, 20 reviews written for requests, and 50 reviews written for requests and non-requests, then the average per request would be 2 and the average per member would be 5, right? Also, in other words, the Average per Member would always be equal to or larger than the Average per Request, won't it?

I just had a look at one of my old spreadsheets.
Average per /Member is calculated "Total Reviews divided by Members". So just like I explained above.
The formula for "Average per Movie" is "Total Reviews divided by Requests", so it's slightly different than what I first wrote and a lot easier to calculate. ^^

Ima start criticizing XD.

Don't be too harsh. We came up with this club info in the old thread. :P
Thanks for reposting this, SCTE3!

- Only 1 audio request a week!
No. You're allowed up to 3 like all the rest, but 1 of them will be reviewed the week after you requested it, and the other extra one or two (depending on whether you requested 2 or 3 submissions respectively) would be reviewed the week after that. That's why we invented the Extra Audio Requests method; to still accept 3 audio requests but also give us less audio all in one week and give us more time to review.

But what if the next week is loaded with audio requests as well. Wouldn't it be better to have something like a queue for requests per user? So, a user requests 3 audio reviews, but only one makes the list in week 1, the second requests is added to the list in week 2 and the third is added in week 3.
Of course, this would mean extra work for the one who does the request lists.

- Do us a favour and respond to our reviews.
Not obligatory, but yeah, that'd be nice.

We are all statwhores (or, most of us ^^) and responses is one of the nicest stats. Plus it helps the reviewer to get better. Some authors review the review, which is a nice way to help the reviewer improve his reviews. ^^
(wow, I never used the word "review" so often in a sentence. -.-)

- Do NOT request reviews for the same submission more than once.
Duh :P.

Hey, some users do that... :P

General Rules for New Reviewers:
If you are planning on completing requests, please do the following:
- Post in this thread to let us know you'd like to join.
- Understand the points system and keep track of your own score. You will only be added to the list if you post your own score within the first week.
That's all correct, except while you were gone a new rule was introduced that first you have to pass judgement from one of our members until you can start reviewing for the club, so you may want to add it there.

Well, it was some sort of unwritten rule in the old club as well. Because we value quality over quantity we rather have only a few members who write long and helpful reviews instead of a whole bunch of reviewers who only write one liners.

Points:
**Please also keep track of your own points. If you see something missing, it's probably a mistake**
As if anyone does that :P. It's not the end of the world if the updater makes a mistake on your stats; after all it's just a few points for the club.

The points are a nice addition, it gives you that little extra motivation to do all the reviews. Also, in the old club some users did keep track of their own scores. But I trust the ones who update the lists. XD

**To be on the list, you must make at least one review, posters only will not be counted**
Yeah, but from then on, you can stay on the list by posting only, right?

Yeah, that was a rule introduced by milinko, even before I first joined the club. I guess there where some people who said "I join", but then never did any reviews.

5 points for a review on a requested movie/game
Yeah...

7 points for a review on a requested audio
That's new O.o. This is a rule from the old club, I think, and I don't know if we should add it to this new one or not. I personally disagree with it, since because audio has now become much more popular than art/flash, it seems useless giving extra points to something that there's so much to review of.

Yes, it's a rule from the old club. Audio requests where rare and members who did audio reviews even rarer. So milinko gave out extra points for audio requests so members had an incentive to do those audio reviews. But now audio reviews give only 5 points as well.

Yes to everything in the FAQ, except that you should add the question "Do I have to review ALL the submissions listed?" and answer as "No, as many as you're comfortable with" or something. Anyway, in short, I'd suggest removing some stuff, adding some others and editing this a little to fit the new club rules. Unless of course someone wants to stick with the old rules...

Yes, the FAQ needs to be updated a bit. I think I can do that tomorrow and post a new plaintext version of it.
