I figure if we plan on reviving our lists and point system that this should come back up with it.
Ima start criticizing XD.
Don't be too harsh. We came up with this club info in the old thread. :P
Thanks for reposting this, SCTE3!
- Only 1 audio request a week!
No. You're allowed up to 3 like all the rest, but 1 of them will be reviewed the week after you requested it, and the other extra one or two (depending on whether you requested 2 or 3 submissions respectively) would be reviewed the week after that. That's why we invented the Extra Audio Requests method; to still accept 3 audio requests but also give us less audio all in one week and give us more time to review.
But what if the next week is loaded with audio requests as well. Wouldn't it be better to have something like a queue for requests per user? So, a user requests 3 audio reviews, but only one makes the list in week 1, the second requests is added to the list in week 2 and the third is added in week 3.
Of course, this would mean extra work for the one who does the request lists.
- Do us a favour and respond to our reviews.
Not obligatory, but yeah, that'd be nice.
We are all statwhores (or, most of us ^^) and responses is one of the nicest stats. Plus it helps the reviewer to get better. Some authors review the review, which is a nice way to help the reviewer improve his reviews. ^^
(wow, I never used the word "review" so often in a sentence. -.-)
- Do NOT request reviews for the same submission more than once.
Duh :P.
Hey, some users do that... :P
General Rules for New Reviewers:
If you are planning on completing requests, please do the following:
- Post in this thread to let us know you'd like to join.
- Understand the points system and keep track of your own score. You will only be added to the list if you post your own score within the first week.
That's all correct, except while you were gone a new rule was introduced that first you have to pass judgement from one of our members until you can start reviewing for the club, so you may want to add it there.
Well, it was some sort of unwritten rule in the old club as well. Because we value quality over quantity we rather have only a few members who write long and helpful reviews instead of a whole bunch of reviewers who only write one liners.
Points:
**Please also keep track of your own points. If you see something missing, it's probably a mistake**
As if anyone does that :P. It's not the end of the world if the updater makes a mistake on your stats; after all it's just a few points for the club.
The points are a nice addition, it gives you that little extra motivation to do all the reviews. Also, in the old club some users did keep track of their own scores. But I trust the ones who update the lists. XD
**To be on the list, you must make at least one review, posters only will not be counted**
Yeah, but from then on, you can stay on the list by posting only, right?
Yeah, that was a rule introduced by milinko, even before I first joined the club. I guess there where some people who said "I join", but then never did any reviews.
5 points for a review on a requested movie/game
Yeah...
7 points for a review on a requested audio
That's new O.o. This is a rule from the old club, I think, and I don't know if we should add it to this new one or not. I personally disagree with it, since because audio has now become much more popular than art/flash, it seems useless giving extra points to something that there's so much to review of.
Yes, it's a rule from the old club. Audio requests where rare and members who did audio reviews even rarer. So milinko gave out extra points for audio requests so members had an incentive to do those audio reviews. But now audio reviews give only 5 points as well.
Yes to everything in the FAQ, except that you should add the question "Do I have to review ALL the submissions listed?" and answer as "No, as many as you're comfortable with" or something. Anyway, in short, I'd suggest removing some stuff, adding some others and editing this a little to fit the new club rules. Unless of course someone wants to stick with the old rules...
Yes, the FAQ needs to be updated a bit. I think I can do that tomorrow and post a new plaintext version of it.

Sorry for the double post, but while I was doing the spreadsheets, I found out that I don't really get what the 'Average per member' and 'Average per request' statistics are. Can someone explain, please?
Just some statistics. "Average per member" is "total amount of reviews done by mebers divided by total nunber of members" and "average per request" is "number of members who have reviewed a requested flash/audioo/art divided by total number of members".
It's just some nice stats to play around with, you can leave them out if you want to.
