right, this is what i want you to do (wether you choose to is up to you but to me it looks like you could be more into your line work.)
1. watch cartoons
2. read comics
3. steal ideas from other artists
4. draw from these but dont spend AGES on them, a quick sketch with a pencil will do and by doing this your building up your knoledge of shapes and structure, steal expressions and styles and gradually build your own style.

but don't do it just 'cause i told ya to...

There is no problem as far as i can see. If the action of having his hand to his face is meant to be significant then do a close up shot. Then we can talk about forshortening...

It's good to know your spending time on your drawings but just for a try see if you can draw it freely, don't worry about any stray lines i just want to see if you can do it because that's the best way in my opinion,

The colour for these are simplistic for a reason idiot-monarch, Mike only gives me a very limited amount of colours to work with plus the subtrate so certain choices had to be made but i will take your advice concerning the lighter colour line art, yeah that doesn't work :D

No this girl used to be a douche but then she was alright so i made a drawing taking the piss.

Here's a little ink and paper thingy i did for someone who used to be a douche to me when i was younger but then turned out to be friendly.

One i did for a friend's band but he has yet to pay me the BASTARD!

Here's another rejected design but i really quite liked it, SNAILS ARE EVIL!

This was a rejected design for a tag print that 'Mike' the guy i work for gave me. This one was early days but he wanted me to design a range of t-shirts taking the piss out of a well loved, Horticultural tv presenter.

It's been a while children so lets all settle down with our juice cartons and cookies and have a look at what Grumpy has been up to...

BONUS: Just started work for a T-shirt printer and I am so stoked to be working in the buisness. It's amazing how much i've learnt over the past month in terms of Garment retail :)
I've also started my Foundation Diploma in Art and Design which is full of win for sure.

Anyhow this is what i've been up to art wise...

(Found a really funky font for the fifities (see what i did?) and made a possible logo for the shop i work for...)

To be honest i'm feeling slightly damp at the most, I second the dinosaur idea...
