lmao, the DHS in a lot of states in the U.S. is garbage. I was listening to a news report the other day on the communication between DHS and people in my state alone is terrible and I've heard is often abusive. Just the other other day when my mother tried to apply for benefits she passed by a homeless man living in car who the DHS refused to help. The DHS doesn't really help unless you have a superficial stat like having all this proof you're making below a certain income level (and believe me the bar for it is pretty low) or if you're of a minority like legally part of the five civilized tribes.

Keep in mind I'm not defending this guy at all. What he did was obviously bad in that he hurt another person, but I just hate it when people on news site comments and on this thread instantly lash out against the perpetrator acting like he's some savage brute with one flat evil personality and fail to even take a glance at the bigger picture. I.E. His motivation, his background, etc.

The Steam version itself is crap, (It's literally just a copy with a DOS emulator.) so I ended up running it with zdoom, great little tool.

It might be the HDR or the servers you go to being unoptimized, try turning the HDR/bloom on low settings/off or turning off motion blur. Turning down shadows/shading also helps.
PC gaming in general is a dead joke now, lol, what did you have a decade ago? many, many companies catering to the pc and trying to push the limits of what the hardware could do, now it's just PC elitists who play TF2 and Minecraft all day while buying dozens, if not hundreds of Steam games they'll never play, and the actual products are mostly just bad console ports (GTA IV, Watch_Dogs, etc.) and random indie game of the week.
