Response to: Your Life Story? Posted 8 days ago in General

While I agree that sometimes details from our lives can be funny and memorable, I generally refrain from showing details about my life (not because I find them humiliating or anything, heh-heh . . .) but, because it's general common sense not to do that. I read it in this expert user's manual about internet safety to help provide for a better forum experience.

While I agree it seems like a good drink, I would drink something like water instead. It helps to clean the toxins in your body and make you feel more refreshed. Truth be told, several varieties of soda actually drain nutrients from your bones.

While I agree you are entitled to your own opinion, it's not right to label something based on its quality of work as "good" or "bad". Everybody has a different perspective on life so let's just try to get along!

While I agree that bacon itself can be bland (except american bacon . . . fuck that european trash) it goes good on a pizza with sriracha sauce mixed in, sriracha sauce is good for your nostrils and you can refer to any asian physician to clarify this. What do you think?

Response to: Valve's decision to remove "Hatred" Posted 2 weeks ago in General

There are games on Steam that are bad fangames of Sonic (Freedom Planet)
There are games on Steam where you shoot an airport filled with innocent unarmed civilians for the sake of the edge (MW2)
There are games on Steam where the goal is just to cause as much as mayhem as possible to civilians (GTA, Saint's Row, etc.)
There are games on Steam where the games where originally too violent to be sold in many stores like Postal and Manhunt/Manhunt2
There are games that school shooter have played that are on Steam. (Doom, Quake)

This whole situation cements more that Valve is a bad game company that isn't that cracked up to be what people think it is. This is also bad for the gaming industry in general considering Valve has a practical monopoly on the PC industry, and if your game doesn't get on Steam at this point in the PC market. You won't make as much money and are more subject to pirating.

I'm not sure but it's probably because it's the one of the only things CN as in their library as of now. When it comes to the Movie/specials department, daytime CN really sucks especially compared to the channel's earlier history when they played stuff like the Iron Giant, the Prince of Egypt, All Dogs Go to Geaven, the Secret of NIMH, several anime movies, and countless others regularly, now all they play are these cheap movies that they've had in the library for a decade like that spooky Godmother special. On their Flicks block, they play Diary of a Wimpy kid LITERALLY every other two weeks. You're lucky to see something like Shrek or Ice Age on CN now.

I also believe Adult swim lacks when it comes to movies too. They have this month of movies thing going on recently, but I think they, as a channel that currently mostly aims toward adult animation, could do a lot better.

Response to: Breaking apart as a culture Posted 3 weeks ago in General

As long as you're serious in this thread, I'll be a bit serious too.

I think america in general really lacks in a clear defined home culture. When you see other countries, what do you think? In Canada, you think ice hockey and maple syrup. When you see Germany, you think of a population bit more on the collectivist side (but not too much) beer, etc. When you see america, the only thing you really get full scope is uh, corporations, self-entitlement, obesity, pretty much, all negative stereotypes.

I covered this in another thread, but I agree with you about america's overly sense of individuality. It helps promote self-entitlement which leads into people thinking the world revolves around them and suing each other into poverty or causing problems for airlines when the airline denies them of a free ride home because the said person thinks his/her relative dying is more important than everybody on the airline working correctly to get their paycheck so they can live in their houses. I don't mean to sound pretentious. Just a few things I've noticed. I still find the US has plenty of good aspects to it.

Racism in the United States Posted 1 month ago in General

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brigitte_Harris_case

This person was violated by her father numerous times but was originally sentenced to 5-15 years for accidentally killing her father. There are similar cases I believe to this with whitewomen that get lesser time or no time at all. Do you think if she lived in the midwest/deep south she would have gotten lethal injection or life in prison for her skin colour? Do you think this is evidence the USA is a socially backwards country?

American culture at least from what I've seen is definitely entitled, but not in that vein of what you're speaking of at all. I know people who work 3 or 4 jobs and are still poor or lower middle class. That's silly.

Obviously, the same reason the whole Vinny fiasco in Family Guy happened - to generate renewed interest in the show. The advertisements that I saw for this upcoming episode were literally " PEWDIEPIE ON SOUTH PARK, BIGGEST CELEBERTY MAKES AN APPEARANCE WATCH AND SEE!!!' .

You can even see it has generated some interest from people in this thread, some or a few of which don't even watch South Park anymore. It was just a 5 second gimmick, that's it.

I can't remember what episode it was from but that scene in Family Guy where Peter is just randomly going to fly a rocket into space and Lois just screams at him and points how stupid, random, destructive, and aimless all of his stunts are, and then Peter does it anyway and his space trip works out perfectly and Lois just says "You got lucky".

Response to: South Park has done it Posted 1 month ago in General

Isn't it funny how when South Park does something like this, everybody is interested in it? but when shows like Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad, etc. do it, people scream gimmick? Kind of like people who think pewdiepie sucks but game grumps or things like that are good.

For me, it would be without a doubt "Fatman and Robin". No cutaway gags, short, just jokes about one of the greatest people to ever live.

Ok! Thanks for pointing that out!
