Good cook and is well-educated in business and real estate, but can't spell worth shit. Also, she used to beat me a lot when I was younger.

I live in Queens, but I will be relocating to Ulster County for college starting next month, at least for my first year; I may move back downstate in late 2009.

Topic: Fireworks Banned On The 4th Of July

Posted: 07/04/08 05:37 PM

Forum: General

Fireworks are banned here in NYC, but that doesn't stop hundreds of people from setting them off in my neighborhood year after year. I don't know how many people get arrested here for setting off fireworks, but I feel that it's not enough. I personally can't stand personal fireworks, and they're abused so often that it's ridiculous.

I didn't go to sleep until 4:36 AM last night. Reason? Buzzing mosquitoes everywhere as well as a loud argument next door, and paranoid thoughts that kept me awake.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean I like to drive often, especially with gas prices as high as they are now. I'll be moving to the suburbs next month, and even then, I'm still not going to do much driving.

Seems like a copycat.

The actual Zodiac Killer hasn't even been heard from since about 1974.

Topic: Fucking neighbors

Posted: 06/28/08 12:59 PM

Forum: General

I don't mind loud music, but if it sucks (as is usually the case around here), then I have a problem.

Many of my neighbors are also filthy, disgusting and loud and I've had some bad run-ins with a couple of them over the past 3 and 1/2 years. In fact, they're blasting some exasperating rap shit right now which is clearly audible from my apartment. I've posted signs on their doors, called the cops, contacted the building owner, but none of it has worked so far.

Topic: Anyone Ever Go Outside?

Posted: 06/26/08 01:01 PM

Forum: General

I'd say I go out a fair amount, usually to places like the Staten Island Mall, Queens Center Mall, all around Downtown to Uptown Manhattan, Downtown Brooklyn or the Rockaways. But I absolutely hate the scorching heat during the summer, so I'm not out as often as I'd be during other seasons.

Topic: aw shit, wisdom teeth...

Posted: 06/12/08 06:48 PM

Forum: General

I went to an oral surgeon to get all four of my wisdom teeth extracted back in January. I was fully conscious during the entire procedure and I didn't feel any pain, but a little bit of pressure. It took about a week for the swelling to go away and the stitches to dissolve, and I was eating normally again after 2 days. The painkillers helped, but I didn't have to take them for any more than 3 days.

There are a couple of stores in my neighborhood with help wanted signs that I'm considering, but so far I haven't applied anywhere yet.

Volunteering at a hospital has crossed my mind, but I'm not sure about St. Luke's. I went there once for a psychiatric evaluation and they wanted to take me indefinitely.

Astoria, Queens, NYC.

The best thing about it is that it's extremely close to Manhattan, and there's plenty to do around here, but there are a lot of annoying kids who roam the streets, especially near the Con Edison plant on 20th Avenue. But it's not nearly as bad as a lot of Bronx neighborhoods, or East/West Harlem.
