Friendshaves Off My Teacher's Beard Posted October 19th, 2010 in General

My buddy in class named Jesus, a sophomore, was just sitting in class as usual and was just having a good time as usual. Anyways Jesus and I were joking about the Video Production teacher's beard because it's scruffy as a motherfucker, and then he took a razar blade and shaving cream and tried to shave it because Jesus was baked out of his fucking mind and shaved half of his beard off. Shit was dope.

He got a little bit of his beard but Jesus is suspended for a week or two. Dude has some issues but he's cool and all. Weird ass day though.

California and Hawaii are right. Florida does not have the 2nd largest Asian American population but it's not a bad guess, ya.

Even though Asian History Month is in May, why not discuss it in the middle of it from then and now?

I have a question to test Newgrounders about Asian history.

50% of all Asian Americans live in just three US states. What are they?

about this person?

Let's say you meet a kid who says the following:

"I was born and raised in East Oakland, California, and lived there until I was 11, and then I moved to South Bronx from on that age to live with my aunt, but I still spend summers in Oakland with the rest of my family."

There's a city called Gonzales or Gonzalez, California. Without external reference, what do you think Gonzalez is like from it's name? I asked some kids in my class, and most of them have never stepped foot in the town but what do you assume it's like by its name, etc?

Lol, ah! Oceanside is actually where I live right now. We have very random weather because were so close to the ocean. But usually it's sunny and 76 degrees all the time.

San Diego is 8-9 hours from where I live so we had to make it worth it. it's not really anything amazing to a person who lives in California probably, but myself being in NorCal I've never seen so many palm trees. I guess I need to get out of here more often, hehe. San Diego is still a nice place and I'd rather live there than LA.

Oceanside is cool, I liked the little downtown with that movie theatre.

San Diego is pretty much sunny with random cloudy days. I admit, this summer sucked because at the beginning it was gloomy for like a month. They the real summer began which is our like 80-85 degree weather.

What was I doing as in what I was doing there or why I was there? Because it is a city where a lot of tourists go to, so of course a kid in Northern California like me is gonna end up there. Mu family wanted to take me there, and it's a nice place.

It was odd how cloudy it was. I was in a cool town called Oceanside and it was drizzling there and it was July. So weird.

no. I'm almost 17, lived in California here my whole life. But I'm 6 hours away from it so I don't have access to it like others, but I'm one of the few people my age in CA that's never been to disneyland

Mindfuck: San Diego's Weather Posted September 16th, 2010 in General

San Diego, California is known as "Sunny San Diego."

San Diego is cool and all, and is warm and sunny a good amount of the time, but I found out that even though San Diego has some of the sunniest winters in mainland United States, San Diego is believed to have the gloomiest summers in mainland US, less sunnier than even Anchorage, Alaska and Seattle in the summer. June Gloom kinda stuff.

I was down there a few months ago, it was just cloudy the whole time but I enjoyed my time there.

country?

Would that be good or bad? We were discussing this in economics, and the teacher would think it'd be cool if that happened, and California might be successful as its own country according to some people and it'd improve the economy. A lot of people are talking about the state being its own country.

However, it would suck for those who'd have to get a passport to want to leave California to go to New York or camp in Oregon, go to Las Vegs. Maybe all of the western states could be its own country.

California has the 6th largest economy in the world, and 40 million people live here.

"so Many Asians On Ng?" Posted August 31st, 2010 in General

This is the real deal, I tried to search "Why Are There So Many Asians In Gymbee" which refers to a little town that's growing and has an Asian population. Now, myself, I'm of Asian descent so I'm not "teh racist!!1" or whatever, but curious was I.

Now I thought this was interesting what I found:

"Why are there so many Asians on Newgrounds?"

I haven't an idea there was an unusually large community of Asians on NG, and besides that, Newgrounds is too obscure of a site to have anybody question this and have it under Google search suggestions, but I thought it was cool.

Makes you wonder.

It's really hot? Have you ever been here? San Francisco is the coldest major city during the summer and Seattle is almost as cold in the summer too, and sometimes rainy. Anywhere in the west coast can get really hot, but not really humid (though today it seemed a little humid) but it's not like the south.

And everybody being a douche or crazy is anywhere else. I live in northern California and it's cool here, but I'm only 16 so what the hell do I know. My dad's from the east coast and my mom's from China.

There are douches at school like anywhere else, but for the most part I'm happy to say California is home.

Nitrous oxide atheist redneck Posted August 17th, 2010 in General

I know a redneck who is an outspoken atheist and he was born and raised in Las Vegas and spends time living in LA he was recently walking around with a canister of nitrous oxide and then he went into his dad's dentistry office and used the nitrous oxide on himself to get a "high." He was caught red-handed with the equipment and they think he's a bit crazy for what he was doing.

Did what he do was bad? He's a member of both a proud California Rednecks Association and American Atheists, which he's well known for his roles in both of them. The cops are thinking of charging him with illegal usage of nitrous oxide, a misdemeanor.

I don't want that to happen but I think he's brainwashed by the church. Plus he used to keep a photo album of young Chinese women and seemed to be overpleasured by teaching Mandarin to the Chinese kids at the church.

Also he was really saddened by the Prop 8's overturn, and I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to leave California for that.

Oh yeah, and he hates Mao Zedong but my grandma likes him for some reason.

Did My Grandpa Go Too Far? Posted August 17th, 2010 in General

My grandpa came to America 10 years ago from China, and in the most recent 5 years, he's been going to a Chinese church just to find a community of Chinese people to make friends. Same with my grandma, who does not speak any English at all, with my grandpa knowing some but pretty broken. In the church, and ever since, he talks a lot about hating gay people and how an earthquake will happen in every gay village in the world, and how US + Canada are useless countries for Asian people because there's no business for Asians here but I don't even know if he's right about that.

Now I'm a mixed kid and only half Chinese and my dad accuses the grandparents of hating on us but they do love us I suppose.

Did my grandpa went too far with what he said?
