Tsk tsk tsk. I feel almost insulted!
It is crappy and easy to draw. Easy to draw, as in, it would probably take time, but it's very simple as far as perspective, colouring, etc. goes.

Also, fucking gross.

Also also, is it just me or do the Art Forum rules state "Only use adult content in highly artistic or hilarious situations. We don't want this to be a hentai gallery"?
Are you quite finished?

Hell, I'm not using any complex poses & perspectives, true. But I also never use any reference, either. But I suppose a masterartist like yourself knows what true art is. No... wait...

Gross? Hahah, I do not intent do please everyone in the first place! You should already know that. But I do not need people to tell me that, especially immature people who fail to look at my work in a more objective way.

It is just you. I would have been kicked out of here a long time ago if I wasn't obeying the rules. But, yet, here I am! I have the deepest respect in obeying the rules (one of the reasons I apply censorship to my works). Sure, my art has... more or less sexual content, but it is either, as you stated yourself "highly artistic" or "hilarious". YOUR opinion about if my art is not "highly artistic" plays no role here.

But, I thank you, little one, for pointing out nothing of importance or interest to anyone in here ^^

Oh it is a fine night for a rant...

Well, for one, most would define highly artistic as conveying a little bit of emotion into other places other than your dick. I mean, this is basically internet pornography dubbed with horribly drawn dragons, there's no artistic statement in any of these.

There's nothing else going on other than the body, it's not art, it's pornography, a shallow excuse for art. Your anatomy is terrible, I don't care if you don't use reference, look at a god-damned person and look at how they work, the anatomy's so bad when I look at something on here I honestly get confused, it's a fucking clutter.

You need to look at people, step 1. You also need to advance beyond dragon porn, nobody will ever take you seriously, you also need to have some substance behind the things you make, make a statement, make me think, all your making me think of right now is "wow, here's a fucked up fetishist who can't draw"

In all honesty, these aren't terribly impressive, they all look to strained and firm, you're not playing around with the design, it's all very stiff, not stylistic, you know? As for the whole tribal theme you have going on here, it's awfully generic, and the idea of making tribal tattoos isn't terribly original either.

Somewhere between art and realism you've lost the point of "art", art isn't about being able to draw a car realistically, it's being able to draw a car realistically with a meaningful message (although I deem that an incredible feat, if you could make me cry over a car then you, my good sir, win at life)

What I'm trying to say here is all you've got are some fancy looking cars (I'm not even going to mention lack of shading or realism or whatever) you don't have a message, you're not doing anything different, this doesn't make me feel anything, I don't question what's going on in your head, I'm not trying to figure you out right now.

Besides the fact that you have no message, you also don't have much drawing skills to begin with, your anatomy when it comes to living things is wonky and strange, it's certainly no different from the pack, and I don't want to sound stereotypical, but furry usually tends to lead into anime, which tends to lead to having no artistic credibility whatsoever.

You need to learn to speak from your heart, portray what you feel, spill your insecurities onto the page. Hell, you could even get a pass at being bad if you make someone feel some real genuine emotion.

Just keep rollin with it buddy, you'll get the hang of it.

Ah, but see. Isn't it at the liberty of the artist to say it's "just a style"? As in, if your anatomy is bad, you could say it's just a style choice. I've encountered that a lot on NG. I'm not saying you do it, or that you would do it. But that's a downfall of many cartoon artists. They get too comfortable with their liberties.

And no, no, I'm not talking about portraits, still lifes--I meant no drawing from reference. It's basically like: "how well do I understand reality in art?"

Because I mean, draw from reference is a good learning method, but should never be the standard practice. Because that, too, is another thing a lot of artists indulge in. And then when you give them a blank piece of paper and say "draw something", they come up short.

And hey, you don't have to do it if you're not comfortable with it. I'm just saying, it'd be nice to see.

Yeah no I completely agree, I hate people who say "well that's just my style" I for one take full responsability when it comes to my fuck ups in art (I tend not to go back to fix them I hate working on something longer than I intended, I just make sure to fix whatever I did wrong in my next drawing)

For example, I fucked up gluttony's right horn, which, while I was intending to make it shorter, it still looks fucked up due to lack of perspective, his (stage right) breast doesn't look like it's coming into contact with his arm (probably because I drew a different arm pose after the fact) but the list goes on and on.

I can already tell after having roamed the art forum for a short amount of time that a lot of people here are incredibly defensive of their "art" and couldn't be comfortable with criticism if they tried.

On another note, there may be a misunderstanding here but I don't draw from reference, and If I do, I try and draw the same thing later on another piece of paper, to see how well I understood what I had drawn.

Reference does help incredibly though, but I agree, it shouldn't be used as a crutch, then it just comes off as hashed and unoriginal, and the only ideas you're left with are something from an image on a computer screen.

Alright then dude, what you need to do is practice drawing, look outside everyday, find something interesting, and try and draw it. That's all you gotta do, later on you can find a living, breathing thing, and try and draw that (It's INCREDIBLY hard to do at first) eventually you'll begin improving your art, you need to practice shading and all that.

I don't mean to rain on your parade or anything but most of those shops won't take you because you need to practice drawing. Especially in the tattoo industry, you need to be fluent in all kinds of art, because everyone wants something different. Practice typography, perspective, shading, anatomy, and even color theory (color theory can go a LONG way when it comes to shading a colored tattoo)

So yeah, just practice that stuff, don't rush into it, it may seem exciting, but if you keep going the way you're going, you'll have a lot less then if you just sit down with a pencil for a good couple of months and practice.

I honestly can't say I would do very good at that, it wouldn't be terrible, but it certainly wouldn't be anything fantastic. Although, I've never actually really tried it, I suppose I could give it a go.

I don't want to sound too defensive (no doubt I will) but you can't just say that cartooning doesn't have any rules, perspective comes into play (although I'm certainly bad at displaying that right now) anatomy comes into play (which I'd like to think I'm getting better at) and of course color theory is a big part of cartooning.

So I'll give a try on something realistic, but I'm not too excited about the prospect of it, I like to be psychedelic and such because I find real life to be a bit boring, I mean, not that I can't appreciate The Mona Lisa or anything, it's just that I find the idea of drawing from life a tad silly when you could draw from your head, let people see what's going on in there.

Note: Obviously drawing from life improves your skills in art TREMENDOUSLY, I'm not bashing it, I just don't choose to do it often, and I love portraits, self portraits, still life, all that.

That's a flawless argument. You sir, are a genius.

But sarcasm aside. The only particularly good one was the dream catcher. I gotta say, that one was pretty impressive. The baby and the castle look...a little wonky. The castle has a bad sense of scaling and the baby's a little...off looking.
at least you explain why you think the work is bad, kudos, ok pay attention, the castle, is a restoration, the outline was aready there all i did was shade it, thats when i was still learning how to shade, and the baby, thats hard to do a face like that, thats the first time i done something like that, look, i been doin this for two years, i havent had any training from a shop cause shops suck and wont work with me so i had to teach myself everything

God damn you're so ignorant it's hilarious, you're revealing to everyone that you're a grade A moron.

A shop wont work with you? The only reason you can supply that they didn't work with you is because "they suck?"

Well, excuse me if I'm being a bit of a know-it-all, but aren't tattoo shops, well, tattoo shops because they are skilled in the art of tattooing?

Maybe they didn't want to work with you because you aren't very good.

Hhahhahahhahaha... Ohhhhh my, oh my oh my oh my.

Well.

I don't remember when age constituted a lack of knowledge about shitty tattoos, but let's just assume that it does for the sake of your poorly constructed, "stupid-fuck" knowledge argument. Well, assuming that a 14 year old with no experience in the oh-so coveted field of tattooing wouldn't know a damned thing about bad tattoos, then yes, I suppose, under your basis of knowledge, that I'd be incredibly unfit to judge your tattooing skills. Now, while this shining gem of knowledge is completely fucktarded, I'll have you know that I've been hanging around tattoo shops for 2 or so years.
