I love Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast, the final song on Atom Heart Mother. One morning while on tour, one of Floyd's roadies was making breakfast. Roger Waters decided to record him doing so and made a 14 minute song from it. The song has a lot of unique parts to it, but the very end of the song, to me, is fantastic. On the physical record, the very last groove (about the last 30 seconds) is intentionally bent to repeat that groove (something I was disappointed to find wasn't replicated in the CD version of the album).

When you pop in the Live Disc that is available on Ubuntu's home page, it'll give you the chance to use the OS without installing it permanently to your hard drive.
When and if you choose to keep it, installing on your old partition will be easy since it's already been created.
Simply choose to format and install Ubunutu on that partition and you'll be all set.
