The chickens were classic NG, but I know how it is with traffic... take one little thing off the entrance page and you save GB's a month in bandwidth.

Can't wait for the new review features...

Yeah, I know it is, but if _root.gotoAndPlay isn't working and you're stuck, it is still supported and works in this particular case. Another way that sometimes works is to give the first frame of the scene youre trying to go to a label, and target it with that.

Yeah, I don't think someone with 1000+ posts would be asking if you need a camcorder to make flash...

If you want to make a movieclip tell the main timeline to go to another scene, give the frame of the scene youre going to a frame label and then use tellTarget to move the _root timeline.

MovieClip's script:

tellTarget (_root) {
gotoAndPlay ("Scene 10", "Ending");
}

"Ending" being the frame's label. Works kinda quirky, like sometimes the movieclip will keep playing a frame or two before it goes, but it does work.

The only thing in XX that was 3d was the background that panned around. That could be done in swift3D. The stick guys were all hand drawn frame by frame. You can also import 3D models from 3DS or DXF and theres thousands of those floating around the web.

I have a question for all you flash scripting junkies out there! How do I make a movieClip tell the main timeline to go to the next scene when it's done playing? Right now, it's last keyframe has this script it:

_root.gotoAndPlay("scenename");
