The style of art you have chosen doesn't work when you spend little time on a drawing. The proportions are all wrong, try using a reference to improve the shapes and sizes of body parts. The colours are also wrong, I believe walrus' are grey.

hmmm...3 minutes? that depends on what you're going to do and how fast you can animate everything. 3 minutes is a lot of time when you start getting some work done.

Personally I hate the realistic look unless you were trying for a serious flash, which I'm not. I love how everyone, even in video games, feels that graphics are the base of a movie. Maybe you should go check out Starcraft.

starcraft had good graphics for its time. I suggest you post some gifs of your characters in action, because I'm having a hard time visualizing how you'll pull the animating off. I see flash movies as 20% story 25% audio 30% animation and 25% art

if it all adds up to at least 70%, then it's a good movie in my eyes.
