Don't see why it has to be someone else's old shit. Isn't it basically just redrawing someone else's art in your style? Redrawing your own art is fun and I remember a lot of threads that did that.

People should make like checkpoints in their lives. Every year you redraw something from a month or year ago, so you'd have a long ass timeline of how your skill improved.

why make a game hard and annoying? At least add some fun elements and not make the game look like utter shit so more people play it. Alkie Kong was just as hard, if not harder, but at least PGF added good graphics and interesting scenarios.

I didn't play this thing for more than two minutes solely because of how crappy the graphics where and I don't waste time on a game that looks like no effort was put in it.

it takes you 30 minutes to write a paragraph? Anyway, the art forum is for image showcasing only. For now, this type of stuff is kept in your userpage. There's also a club in the C&C forum but I don't have the link. The Lit portal was promised to be out soon after the art portal, so you'll have to wait.

The face is the best part of the image, and everything around it kind of degrades the quality. Because of the fire, he should have a lot more highlights on his clothes than a solid black. The fire itself could use some work too

the layout's going to change to widescreen view soon so I don't think that much work will be put into prettying up the existing stuff.

Biggest distraction is the face on the lower left. It's probably just some gesture sketching going on there, but other than that, I don't see that many problems. Of course that will probably change after you work on it some more.

It's so people don't just scout the first person they see which will end up with the whole portal being flooded with crap. The system only needs an option to have a more responsible person to scout you and reject some random guy from doing so.

decent PC + steam games costs about 400-500 bucks for a year. After that, it's probably 50-100 bucks for newer games and additional hardware to update your PC.
Of course counterstrike source and team fortress 2 is all you need. Though sometimes you do get some special offers for games that cost $5 or cheaper.
