OK guys, I cracked down and called the guys that build the companies web page. Yes, it is a security feature that can be bypassed but not with AS... Its java that I need to use to have the web browser load up the code for it.

So in a sence, we were all wrong and it had nothing to do with AS, so I was basically in the wrong forum.

Well, that made sence, as I had my sound linkable for this... thought I'd need it to be... howev3er, with that code no sound when I publish... (that is the only code I have in it so far)

Old Gust, thats my problem, I spent all my time learning how to make cartoons I never bothered with script, untill now.

I dont know what script to be using for playing the sounds, before I just attatched the sound to an invisible button I covered the scene with... worked great, but made for an irritating multiple sounds and no sounds toping, plus having to activate the banner first.

The banner looks great, and I've now converted it to a movie clip... but I need the sound function to werk without having to put a rollover button that needs to be activated.

That would be good, but my whole banner is animated and takes over 100 frames of shoop-da-woop.

Could I convert the whole thing into a movie clip and put that in a button as you suggested? or would that mess it up?

What I need is a banner where the sound plays whenever you roll over the banner without having to click on it... on the same hand, I cant figure out how to make the sound stop before it starts again (preventing an anoying series of audio clips)

any suggestions?

Yes, I mean IE and Firefox.. But even on IE, thoes anoying smiley banners have sounds playing without me ever clicking on them to activate, so there should be a way to do it...?

Basically, I want it so people dont have to first click on the banner so it will play a sound on rollover...

I'm making a flash banner, with a rollover sound, (much like the irritating smiley ones on Newgrounds) But the sound only plays when the window is activated... how can I make the window automatically activate when someone is viewing the page?

I'll consider doing some late night studio work for the cause.

Well, I felt bad, because I'm not that active on the forums here, I've never gone here to promote my animutations, yet people have still keps my animutations alive, so it was a general thanks to anyone who might have saved my animations from blamsvill.

Its cool to think I never spent the time trying to make friends on here, but still got a general positive responce without trying. flash artsits dream I think.

Everything I have ever made in Flash is now on Newgrounds and I wanted to thank all the regulars here who watched my stuff and voted for my work. Since Animutations arent the most popular genra in the world, I didnt think they would ever survive, but they did. So thank you once again to all voters (saves especially).

Just remember, I think Sadam was a BAD man who can be compared to Hitler with how he attempted his own form of genocide. I believe his crimes against humanity were awfull and he deserved life in prison.

His unfair hearing was a kangaroo court, just like his corts killing the Sheite. the US had total controle over his death sentence and did what they could to ensure it happened. They knew human rights activists would protest this, and they knew that some outspoken supporters would protest this.

I fear this may have all been in the US's best interest, in hopes the extreemests would wager war, and attack US soil. I'm scared for inocent Americans that may die because their current government needs more fear in their people to support more warfare in the middle east.

If the reactionary groups do attack. Inocent people will die on US soil, and more inocent people, both American soldiers and Saudi citicens caught in the crossfire. and any Canadian soldiers caught there will probably be killed by the US friendly fire as usual.

This is coming at a strategic point in time where the US majority doesnt approve of the war and the end of the presidents 2nd term is coming up. The US needs the extreemest to attack in order to build that fear factor once more. Sadam knew this, thats why he asked his people not to hate the Americans in his last letter sent out. I have it open 90% of the time on my PC and 90% of the time at work.

At home, I'm making animutations, sometimes I'll stay up untill 5am working on my projects. at work, I'll stay as long as I want to do flash stuff for the web page.

I dont think I'm addicted though, after releasing my christmas special, I've gone without opening Flash once. I deserved a holiday.

Totally. Like any art, it can be good or bad.

Monty Python stuff is great, and that halloweeen smashing game last Halleen was cool too.

On the other end, 'French Erotic Film' (search for on NG) is just some simple fun. Not art but certainly entertaining.

In any case, don't worry too much of others' opinions.

It was goofy things like French Erotic Film that got me interested in learning flash. I know they are random with inside jokes. Thus far I havent had a single submission blammed, so I'm in a positive mode on my stuff.

I think learning flash has made me a bit harsher in my judgment, as I can quickly see when someone has done a cop out and didnt put any effort into it... especially first time submissions. I took 6 months for my first submission because it was my first flash EVER and I didnt want people to think it was my first flash... and most people didnt. If someone doesnt have that ambition, why do they bother?

Do you guys consider "Animutation" to still count as flash artwork? Its the stuff I fell in love with and actually "Learned" flash for the soul purpose of making them.

It seems like I no longer have the choice to remove my animutation "Asian Pride" from Newgrounds http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/324754 While I have no intention of doing so, I couldnt figure out why this happened.

The same thing happened to my christmas special... but thats now found on the animutation collections page, so I figure thats why...

Since having more than that can give you a record and you would then be denied entry to a lot of countries, it really CAN screw up your life...
