Well... I've been a yearly flash submitter for years now... And I've never made a topic I believe in the general forums. So lets' change that.

I like low budget films, even more so when they're made by people I like. Doug Tennapel, the man who created Earthworm Jim, Catscratch, etc... created a series called Sockbaby. This series had everytihng I enjoyed seeing. A wacky story, Kung fu, memorable characters, and some really over the top actors... It doesn't matter to me if they have a shoe string budget, some stuff is just funny and entertaining.

A little while ago, they released the fourth installment of the Sockbaby series. This one features Doug Jones, the man who played the fish guy in Hellboy and some monsters in Pan's Labyrinth. Check it out if you have some time...

Just have fun with it. Try experimenting to see how many different characters you can change him into.

Some basic questions film makers ask themselves before starting are...

1. What do I want to say?
2. How should the audience feel?
3. Who is my audience?
4 How am I going to convey my messege.

I recomend you make some suggestions for making money off of Flash animation. Talk a bit about the entertainment industry on the net, how to generate a cult following. Probably tell people to start with an idea and work on a series of it. People always like money.

I'd cover the basics of fbf animation. Probably go through a tutorial about how a scene of motion is animation by specifying keypoints for a characters movements.

Masking is probably the second tutorial I'd put up there. It can help occomplish some neat effects with lighting and scenery.

Never got too much into the electronic metal scene. It's easy to do, but hard to pull off well.

I suggest you buy it.
