No, AQI was the official branch of AQC that operated inside Iraq. Baghdadi basically went rogue and crossed Zawahiri when he merged al-Nusra and ISI to create ISIS back in April of 2013. Zawahiri rejected the merger but basically nobody gave a shit, eventually culimating with Zawahiri disavowing ISIS. ISIS is no more AQ than any other radical Islamist group in the area, they're pretty much independent from Zawahiri at this point. That's not true at all. ISIS was known as AQI (Al Qaeda in Iraq) long before it was known as ISIS. Before that the core of ISIS was called Tawhid way back in the late 90s, which was started originally in Jordan. ISIS only expanded into Syria around 2013.

ISIS is a splinter group from Al Qaeda that found its footing in Syria. Thats completely true, otherwise we could say Al Qaeda started in Pakistan due to the group's chapters there.

Even if your irrelevance was relevant or right, it still wouldn't change the fact that there is no copyright on the coding of the original.

My point still stands as I already know that it's true to the core, the staff member that deleted the submission should cut their ears off and feed them to a tank of baby alligators. The rules aren't concrete and can be bent for certain exceptions, and if this wasn't such an exception, I don't know what is.
