Believe me there's nothing I'd enjoy more than going over the gun debate for the millionth time, but Tony brings nothing new to the table with each post. It's just a variation of 'guns are so great, I love guns, do you love guns? I love guns' which is better suited to the clubs & crews section rather than politics. I just wondered if anyone here had made as showreel before and had any tips?

I'm going to make one for the start of 2014, including everything good I've worked on this year.

I was mainly curious about how you can make a showreel with content that is from Flash and Toonboom, some of these files will be different sizes and frame rates, so I was wondering if anyone knows a way to put this all together easily?

Can't quite a few of those problems be fixed without needing to secede from the rest of the US? And also how do you know that secession will make these problems go away? How about doing something proactive with the system that is already in place? You can certainly do something more on the subject of the environment than making a stupid thread on newgrounds.

It seems like I always get a variant of this problem with flash, and tbh I don't expect that I'll get any revolutionary advice now at this stage in my animation career but I'll ask anyway.

I have a sound file from a voice actor that I have imported into flash, great so far. The audio is clear and crisp when played on itunes, audacity and when you play it on the flash stage. It's at standard default compression setting and set to Stream in properties. Except editing it down a little in Audacity I haven't changed the audio at all.

The problem is that as soon as I export the movie (Ctrl+Enter) the audio quality suddenly nosedives and it sounds wank, the 'S's sound really hissy and it completely ruins all of the animation. Annoyingly this problem goes away when I set the audio to Event, but then the audio will run faster than the animation that it is lip synced to.

Like I said, I have this problem with flash a lot and I really don't know what to do about it. Would appreciate any advice from yall

Maybe one of the core problems with gun culture in America is that tragedys like the Jean Charles de Menezes case happen so often that they have become trivialized, that's probably why America seems so fucked to the rest of the developed world.
