It could have happened any day, but it seems that my wait to see the redesign occur will be in vain. It would've started about a half hour before I had to go to school today, but wow.

PsychoGoldfish, could you give more detail about this spinal injury (how he got it and such)?

Oh and also....

Factor 5: (if it manages to survive the litigation and financial woes) Develop and release Thornado. If the release proves successful, earn enough profit, to have Rogue Squadron IV be published by LucasArts.

ATLUS: Create more original IPs, and start giving Nintendo more love by making a Shin Megami Tensei/Persona game for their Wii or future consoles.

Pandemic: Create another incredible game taking place between Star Wars Episode II and III.

Sega: Continue to be the publisher of the Blue Stinger "series" (considering the Kinect sequel abound...).
Make PSO II just as memorable as the first one, plus fight hard to make the servers F2P.

Nintendo: Don't be as lazy with developing original IPs and/or having other companies (looking at you Square-Enix) release games involving original IP content. Gi

Sony: Make a new Intelligent Qube game. Make a new Intelligent Qube game. Make a new Intelligent Qube game!

Microsoft: Make Xbox LIVE 100% free, at least by the time the successor to the Xbox 360 is released.

Gravity: Do whatever it takes to make Ragnarok Online available for [non-BootCamp] Mac users (perhaps give LiveCode a look at....)

OutSpark: Find a way to restore localization/distributive rights to BlackShot.

Overworks (before the PS2 became discontinued): release Skies of Arcadia for PS2.

Rare: Moving back to Nintendo should NOT be as hard as making it through a game of Battletoads.

Jagex: Give native MIDI playback to the users and eliminate random automatic playback. Restore the classic main theme that most users grew up and loved (everyone knows about Dungeoneering already).

NewGrounds: just wait til' the redesign...

Cs: Global Offensive Vs Urt Hd Posted January 26th, 2012 in Video Games

Two PC (one of which is planned for PS3/360) FPS are on the way for release in 2012. They are Counter-Strike: Genera Offensive and Urban Terror HD.

A couple things these games have in common is that they are both mods, and their new releases mainly include a major graphics overhaul.

While the other "mainstream" FPSes like Modern Warfare 3 and BattleField 3 are raping the popul-o-meter, these two have [unofficially] been at each others throats.

I haven't really heard anything about Global Offensive until relatively recently. With regards to both games, one thing has been on my mind seeing the pre-release gameplay: "how can games that look this good have no iron sight aiming features"?; what I wasn't aware of was the fact that Call of Duty's had that feature since game one (personally, I'm one that's more used to regular, non-sight aiming).

While Global Offensive and UrT HD are still in development/beta testing, which new game do you think will most likely trump the other?

Response to: When you see porn you used to fap.. Posted January 21st, 2012 in General

I don't fap to porn...unless the porn tells me to. There are a lot of "old" pics that I remember really getting excited over that I can't find anymore. Those were great times I think I can only remember but never experience again in my life.

Chances are those pics'll eventually find themselves in some "classic" archive site 20 or so years later...that is if anyone actually managed to store those images and share them across the net once again. I'd sure be really happy to see them again, though I probably will not fap, though.

Didn't you mean phallocious?

I think I'd have to agree with AcatalepsyAtaraxia on this. I'm sure many women wouldn't care for a mens' "fallacious" charm, as none of what they claim would really ever be true.

On the note of "phallocious", a vast number of women may actually feel embarrassed by this particular charm, especially in public, unless they really love risque behavior.

Make Sentences Using Game Titles! Posted January 21st, 2012 in Video Games

I remember last year, coming across a site that had a poem that consisted of various video/computer game titles used to create the sentences of it.

I unfortunately can't seem to find that site page where I saw it, but I remember just putting something like "turn nights into dreams" in the search engine.

I can only remember that oddly enough that my query was literally the last part of the poem, which went something like:

"...I can turn NiGHTS into Dreams, while The World Ends With You."

My only conditions that I request:

» Game titles are properly capitalized to note that they're being used.
» At least two game titles are used in a sentence.

-yes, you may alter the formation of the title to better suit the sentence(s) if needed be.

I'll try with my own example:

The Super Mario Bros. are about to play Pong with Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic went on an Adventure to find the best known racket from ancient times, with the help of a well known Tomb Raider, while Mario and Luigi manged to find one during their Superstar Saga . This Unreal Tournament between humans and animals is sure to be Out of this World!

Favorite F-zero Music Era Posted January 20th, 2012 in Video Games

If you had to pick an era of F-Zero music as your favorite to listen to which would it be.

Here's a short recap:

The original F-Zero consisted mostly of fast, jazzy/classical music.

F-Zero-X primarily consisted of rock and metal.

F-Zero GX was just electronica and techno rock.

Note these are just the major games, as I only really have played these.

If you prefer what you've heard from the handheld/arcade (AX) games, then go ahead and make mention of them!

Arachnomania- Crimson Skies: Highroad to Revenge (intense music to race to)

Requiem Alundra (people die)

Imminent Crisis Alundra 2 (fight or flight!)

Tokyo Conception Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (arguably the most dramatic/epic buildup of a final farewell to what was once thought to be reality...)

Almost Dead Intelligent Qube (the moment you hear this, one more mistake can cost you your life)

Aerith's Theme Final Fantsy VII (Travis, if you're reading this thread, this one's for you)

Through the Heart of a Nation Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation (those who've at least played the demo are sure to recall this suddenly now even MORE dangerous engagement)

Gigas' Theme Skies of Arcadia (if the 1st 20 secs were a message; "and you thought that the Weapons of the Final Fantasy (i.e. VII, X) series were a *BIG* problem....")

Response to: Redesign Counter Posted January 14th, 2012 in General

I'm really concerned about the color scheme shown in the countdown. I don't know if the color scheme of the countdown's just for show or a foreboding sign that the NewGrounds main colors will not be black and orange, but perhaps mixes of gray and green....

I think that would perhaps be the most significant shift if that does indeed happen, above all other changes, as certainly a lot of us have been use to the relationship between black & orange and Newgrounds.

Above anything else, I do hope the portals, namely the audio one gets some real love in the redesign. I think that particular part of Newgrounds needs a better lift than anything else. Also, zero-bomber control.

The whole countdown thing feels rather creepy and full of F.U.D., but I'm anxious to actually be around to witness firsthand a transition to a new age of Newgrounds, be it awesome or backwater.

Best of luck, some dumb kid!

The Haunting of Molly Hartley

I usually don't mind low-budget films, or even those underdog b-movies that find their way on MST3K, but The Haunting of Molly Hartley is one which I audibly claim is the WORST movie I've ever watched.

Don't even RENT this film. To me it's so rank that it should be found in the most freest way possible (like a public library or something). Don't waste a penny.

Eliot G. Ballade Was Young... Posted December 21st, 2011 in Video Games

...when he started working for ESER.

If you've played Blue Stinger, chances are you may or may not have been as curious as I to know how old Eliot was when he became an ESER employee.

Here's some game math for ya...:

Eliot's profile (from the manual) goes to show that he's 28-years old.

The game's "present day" year is 2018.

The back of Eliot's t-shirt says "member since 2001".

To avoid being repetitive, considering that a lot of other ppl have already recommended games like Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Trigger, and Super Mario RPG.

I'd recommend these:

Paper Mario
Jade Cocoon (only played the demo, but most likely would've completed it, if I owned it; still remember the battle theme music to this day!)

If you love a [really REALLY big] challenge, sink your teeth into this duopoly:

Alundra
