This is a bit of a challenging question for me.
I made up a lot of tunes on a synthesizer during my elementary years. One stuck out as something i thought was big, though I was much older, like 10 or older, that I played that felt like an intro to something big, though it was very simple sounding.
My first written song wasn't done until I was between 17 and 18 years old. It was designed to be a part of a then major videogame idea. I felt really good about it, and even my older brother felt impressed with just the intro chords.
My first recorded song was for an RPG maker game, and many people, even here on Newgrounds have heard it. I didn't record it until I was between 21 and 22 years old though. I'd been tinkering with GarageBand at Apple stores at least since my mid to late teen years, and finally decided to give it a go [productively] as an adult. I like the tune, and it does feel more finished than many of my other tunes.
I eventually did record the other tunes I had in my head or written down when I was younger, though I think very few sounded all that great. If anything the one I did around 10 or so in GarageBand has impressed me to the fullest, just rememering that I started with just one synth keyboard growing up.

One of the best RPG's I've ever played.
I'll drink to that! Essentially every Dreamcast game to me's underrated, as the Dreamcast itself is underrated! One game I think's underrated, that perhaps very few have heard of is Blue Stinger
The preceding was a tribute I myself did for the game (even the music video!).
It's most certainly an experience a Dreamcast owner must experience. A good blend of action/adventure, survival, puzzles, and role-play! Not to mention music 'n' special FX!

I've yet to get it reviewed by HFX herself, though I'll just have it posted here to say that I have this potential candidate.
Update: She just approved the song for this collaboration. I leave it up to whose in charge (Trois?), as to whether or not it will have a slot in this tribute collection.
Hey guys, I have a tune that could potentially show up on the audio collab. I apologize for being late to the party (a cliche I'm fighting to be rid of) , but this tune is near it's one-year anniversary, and I thought what better way to celebrate than sharing it in this event!

not without a monitor lizard u ain't!
The game with the best soundtrack in my opinion, at least these days, will cover numerous genres of music (hip-hop, classical, rock, etc.), feature real live recorded and synthesized/chiptune (console's internal sound/music chip) music, target the most emotions and audiences, and to top it off feature more than one musician.
Only about a couple games I've played have come closest to that and they include:
Final Fantasy X
&
Sonic Adventure
With Final Fantasy VII as a runner up.
Technically if a game like Ragnarok Online included a single [general] MIDI tune, it'd be darn near a winner, if not an actual winner.
Essentially every Dreamcast game feels like a "vacation" from games on all other systems.
Running through Emerald Coast in Sonic Adventure.
Doing solo flights in AeroWings.
Watching highlights of the fares you drop off in Crazy taxi.
Watching your airship duke it out with another one or a giant monster in Skies of Arcadia.
Watching your favorite Soul Calibur character in "attract mode".
Playing the sci-fi action/adventure cinema-like Blue Stinger.
Replaying the races you did in Speed Devils.
Listening to the oft-ambient, soothing classical space music in Armada, while zipping around the galaxy, and asplodin' the enemiez.
Getting a slice of life in Yokosuka, Japan with Shenmue.
The list could go on and on!
This is a pretty hard question, as I've played my share of really scary games.
Resident Evil 2 was quite scary for its time.
I think the meat of Bungie's work, at least back in the day was pretty scary to me.
Their Marathon series was darn near naturally dark. The S'Pht scared me so bad, when my bro 'n' pop encountered what was initially thought to be a "dress". Their Abuse and Pathways into Darkness (pre-cursor to Marathon) were also quite scary games.
Dark Forces was pretty scary in some cases; I couldn't stand being around the phase 1 Dark Troopers, no matter how bright the area I was in or w/e.
REALLY hated the dark things in Ico. Those things were a nightmare.
As scary as games were during my 90s/00s childhood, I hadn't gotten to an actual screaming point until I played the Uncharted 3 demo. Those sudden disastrous moments had me verbally reacting, something I found quite rare for me.
In Central Park
and even in Times Square!
Not to mention arrested!!
Yeowza, talk about an epic destruction of childhood!

I'm around 5-feet-six-inches. Not really "tall", but I've had a chance meeting ppl who were 6'4....at 14 years of age!!
Though I blame my shortness on early life meds, I thank God for compensating me with really long arms (my wingspan's approx. 69-inches!).

That was an interesting video, and it certainly made me realize my logic train didn't stop on time. IGN indeed DID NOT actually ask anyone outside EA why EA is hated.
The interesting irony about this topic, is for once, the target of the problem at hand was "available for comment".
don't divide by zero, or you'll get an arrow in the knee!
I read the latest IGN e-mail newsletter, which had an article on the apparent hatred of EA. It was an interesting read, and it did make me think. Looking back, I think I only really enjoyed 3 products from EA, and those were 3D Atlas (think this was the first "game" that introduced me to EA), Sim Copter (developed by Maxis), and Mirror's Edge (developed by DICE). These are all decidedly different avenues from each other, but perhaps the most interesting thing to note, is all of these games DID NOT get a sequel (....yet!).
Those 3 games were all unique and innovative in some way, but were quite enjoyable. What is a shame though is from what I've read, (mainly outside the article) is that big publishers like itself (ActiVision's no different), are essentially milking every other little developer under its wing dry, and gamers are starting to wake up to it. There has to be another way that companies like EA can break itself even on things. Outside of the Madden world (EA Sports), I think the company needs to make more factions from within to allow for more ideas, and if possible show that there can be power in numbers.
It's been suggested that big banks like Bank of America divide as well, and that's financial related too. I predict that EA will crash on itself if it continues to show significant dependence on other 3rd-party devs to keep it afloat.
I don't know a whole lot about Origin, but if it's anywhere close to as good (or bad) as Steam, I may take a closer look into it.
Okay, I'm done.
What's your take on Electronic Arts?
we made it to over 50 members, can we reach 100???

Not even the global forum rules are stickied after the last redesign, so there's small chance of getting the sticky back, not to mention getting several threads stickied. This contains most of the links but you kinda have to know where it is or look pretty hard to find it, especially if you're new.
I like that. In fact that looks to be an awesome inclusion in an FAQ thread here in this forum. As for your thoughts, Back-From-Purgatory, I say that everyone's different: some will be careless, some will be unaware, and then there are those who deliberately do the wrong thing anyway. I think that stickies should be designed in such a way, that it'll be darn-near un-ignorable, when someone sees any forum.
Should a vote be taken to make sure these particular threads are stickied, due to their topics being commonplace on this forum? Rather irritated seeing locked threads often relating to new ppl that are unaware that these threads exist.

even with headphones on, I saw little to no similarity let alone outright stealing of a melody from this tune. I pretty much doubt that Skrillex even knows what NewGrounds is!
A birthday dude is you! Dunno if yours is on the 5th or 6th, but this birthday boy is wishing you all the best on yours!

And whilst I'm at it.... *shakes fist at Skype*
Ohhh, Skype, y u no be good?!
Also, check to see that you have the latest version of Skype (the last thing I suggested Trois do). And yes, it's true that chiptune/demoscene/videogame music great Jeroen Tel is one of our latest, and arguably more recently memorable members of this Skype group chat. Enjoy yourselves!
Watch this video. (a bit ironic Google frontpaged this on their website)
