If you're not interested in plunking down some cash for a Mac, even a MacMini, to try your hand at Logic Studio, I suggest you start tapping into Pro Tools. I guess as the name applies, its for the pros, which I'm not...yet. Lots of complexity and options that even FL Studio may never have and never will.

This seems to be a standard for those interested in game audio, as a number of pictures I have of [today's] game composers who are sitting in their office have a copy somewhere nearby, or on their monitor/display.

But wait! If you stay with FL Studio or any other future DAW, and you can afford it, get Omnisphere, the ultimate virtual instrument. The possibilities are next to endless, for whatever sound you want. A great demo of it can be found here.

More info on the audio engine can be found here.
