@6 PM of tomorrow, or...?
A YouTuber says that this music would be heard in 2012(perhaps 12/21/2012, to be exact), so maybe it's up your alley.
for the record I find it somewhat amusing and or interesting, that President Obama requested that Israel revert to the 1967 borders around this time.
It kind of sounds like it would counter that incredible scene from the first Left Behind movie, where the bombers (I believe they were Palestinian) were about to bomb the Dome of the Rock, but ultimately (miraculously) failed, assuming tensions were about to get real bad.
Who knows. what Obama says may not have any effect on such a decision if Palestine really wanted to go that far.
Well I'm off to bed; if I' gone, I'm gone, if I'm not, I'd love to see what 2060 or later holds, given that we're still around after the massive list of predictions for 2012 are either proven false or experienced with minimal effect for 2012, and that asteroid thing in the late 2030s...
I'm Christian, and I didn't hear anything about this until today on CNN. Wiki the Rapture. This date WAS thought up by an individual. So...if we don't have a "Left Behind" scenario tomorrow, Isac Newton of all ppl, anticipated that such an event would not occur until at least 2060!
One hour and a half remains until we find out whether or not ppl will vanish, and whether or not some unforseen political figure comes out of the blue and promises peace and harmony, but is really just "The Adversary" in disguise (okay make that one hour and 28 minutes, lol!).
inb4 "pix or it didn't happen"
Everything was sounding well until I found this article on just a taste of the specs this console claims it will have at launch.
With all of this newly assumed power Nintendo's claiming for its new console, why stop there???
RedBook Audio, standing by!
pun intended
what is it with me and clicking "Post it!" instead of "Browse..." these days?!
Okay, I mean *this* line!

Aw, tartar sauce! I was doing fine until I came across that pic! I WAS THERE! "You Just Lost the Game", indeed!
Well now that I lost, I'm paying ya'll back with a real blast from the past! Even if you just turned 13 this year, in some shape or form, you have a memory of this (If you were born in the EU, this may have a different meaning to you, hence the color change there (hint!hint!).) You WILL lose the moment you scroll past this last line of text!:
To sum it up, VaginaBoob (OP), the ppl on this thread seem confused if you intended for them to evaluate your poem, find irony with your name and the thread title, or BOTH!

just to name a few, as I only had it as a rental. I want to get my own copy to finish it one day!
*State of Emergency (ability to "juice" somebody's head?!)
*GoldenEye 64 (there's at least one enemy death animation that actually made me shed tears)
*Diablo (blood and gore everywhere, even if you weren't the cause of it)
*some racing game I remember playing/seeing on the Amiga, taking place in a desert with pyramids at the end. (DON'T CRASH! or else be greeted with a grotesquely detailed 2D laughing skull animation screen, with perhaps one of the eeriest sounding laughs of its time; a haunt to this day)
*Boppin' (not necessarily the game itself, but rather the animation logo of the company that made it, Accursed Toys (note: there is a bright kid-friendly "safe" version they made of the logo screen as well). Didn't look at my closet [or bed] quite the same way for some time...).
To top it off, looking back I think my most favorite game of all time, may actually be worth mentioning; none other than Crusader: No Remorse. There were just as many ways to kill and die in that game (in some pretty graphic ways too) as there were weapon modes on Zorg's ZF-1 gun (if not more)! Torched, bombed, crushed, as well as just plain old shot with blood flowing out the body to the floor.
This is a pretty hard question. Considering that the Square-Enix brand pretty much started with Final Fantasy XI, I can't answer it correctly.
I thought Final Fantasy X was the "best" that Square had provided for the series. After the merger I hadn't really purchased any games from them outside of FullMetal Alchemist 2. Crimson Elixir wasn't bad, and I still haven't finished it yet, but I suppose it's a nice step away from the elements that are typically associated with the Final Fantasy franchise (transmutation (or whatever the shell its called) circles, FTMEW).

You know, I don't know at this point what story is straight, I hear one story saying he somehow probably surprised the SEALs and got shot, another story being that a woman stood in front of him, who then got shot in the leg, allowing the SEALs to headshot bin Laden (this was the basis of a "shoot to kill" mission, meaning even if he had no weapons, he'd be shot on sight).
I really don't know the real story. All I know is that this world threat is no more, no words, nothing. A corpse. Can't get any information out. This is to assume that the governments of the world know more about bin Laden, than we the people care to know about. I can feel it...
...but why am I upset?!
I'll tell you.
Because of the alleged struggle between him and the US Navy or whoever, he was struck and then shot to death (or so they say). Unarmed.
Because of his [sudden] death, we'll never get to know much more about him or what his plans were for Al-Qaeda (or "Al-Qaida" if you prefer), after the last tape was released. I mean at least Saddam Hussein had the chance to identify himself from a spider hole, to prevent getting naded. Sure, Saddam eventually died by execution by the people's government, but not before giving away lots of information about himself and what he claimed was really going on between him and Iraq.
With Osama now dead and gone, we'll never hear any truth straight from the goat's mouth, be it false or not. He's just gone. At this point our only next best sources are his own family, that is, if he actually shared with them what he was planning to do in the future.
Yes, he's been christened the mastermind behind 9/11 as well as other major [terrorist] attacks on U.S. soil, but now, we can't get any more interviews or anything of the sort from bin Laden, because he's been killed.
I know, the people reading this probably think this American citizen's crazy for being mad about something like this, but this is a real issue. The intelligence agencies of the world will be more in the dark than ever, when it comes to the terrorist groups as well as their plans that, the agencies may or may never know about.
To me there's more to this subject than, "Yay, he's finally dead! 8D". The NATO military will officially be between Iraq and a hard place (Iran) on whether or not to return home or take educated guesses on where to strike next (if it's necessary).
If we don't figure a solution fast, the world may officially have a global "Situation Normal, All Foul'd Up" on hand, (unless of course you're a conspiracy theorist that believes everything to this point was staged, and forced upon the people to believe it's real, and have a better idea what the "secret societies" have up their sleeves...).
The Matrix wasn't bad.
The Grudge dabbled a number of times in that respect.
Die Another Day does it, in an oft-humorous manner.
Check out the Cube movie series (made popular on the Sci-Fi Channel [Scinema Events]). I kid you not, the twists and endings will stick with you!
Someone told me about a scene from a film called Necromentia, being as mind-warpingly unforgettable as it gets (would suggest viewing the trailer so you have an idea of what you're getting into); won't mention the scene but I caught the clip, and my mind is having a difficult time wiping it away.
The Game (1997) may also be a good one.
Perhaps not the best one for this query, but have a look at Gamebox 1.0. Cheesy FMV-like visuals aside, your mind needs to stay sharp 'n' alert, to prevent it from getting raped more times than I can count.
One source says it was Osama bin Laden.
Another source says it was Barack Hussein Obama.

IGN's becomerealcreative on who or what may actually have been the cause of this "hackdown".
Oops, just realized I forgot to add the link!
I'm sorry to hear about this, PS3ers. Meanwhile, if you're a Dreamcast enthusiast (as well as Japan supporter), this may be a good time to go and download this (to a personal computer, of course!). Yes, while you're shedding tears as much as our disaster survivors of the Far East, for a time, you can find some time to reminisce about the TRUE gaming experience you were offered from 1999 through 2001 (2002 in EU), with a familiar interface, icons, etc.
I don't own a PS3, but the imagery SEGA put together for this theme...makes me smile. Enjoy any goodies you may find along the way!

Curious, eh? There seems to be a lot of uses for that word these days...
If you're still around, I have some "curious" news for you, if your Mac meets these requirements:
Is it an Intel Mac? If yes, then that opens some doors. Aside from emulators/virtual machines like CrossOver and BootCamp, I believe I once read about a certain combination of a version of FL Studio and a version of Mac OS X could run darn near natively, but I can't find that source right now. Crossover, BootCamp, Parallels, and heck even WineHQ may help you return to FL Studio world, if you were truly attached to that DAW.
Finding Reaper utterly perplexing, I am compelled to resort to Garageband.
Never worked with Reaper, but have tried a demo of it. I think I'd agree with you. I think even MixCraft would've been easier to pick up on from the beginning.
Perhaps a denizen of the forum would be so kind as to identify commonalities between the software packages, in order to ease the transition.
I'm a bit stuck here. Do you want to hear the difference between FL Studio and GarageBand, or GarageBand and Reason, or all three? I've dabbled 'round with FL Studio (apparently, GarageBand's my main music maker at this time), and can point out some differences between them for you now:
Depending on how you see it, FL Studio is more of a middle-weight DAW, in that it shares similarities between Logic (and other heavy-weight DAWs, namely the beat step sequencers) and GarageBand (which I'd place under the light-weight level DAW).
If you want to stay "in the middle", at best you should give Logic Express (and I do emphasize "Express") a look at. It has beat step sequencer ,UltraBeat, like its Studio/Pro version, which is one of the few things that make FL Studio/Logic Express differ from GarageBand (no beat step sequencer that I know of exists for it).
If you have more questions about GarageBand, if you're not interested or cannot afford to go the venture of Crossing Over or going to Boot Camp, I suggest posting them at ~>The Garageband Q&A/Chat Corner!<~. It'll also be of great help if you could provide the version of GarageBand your Mac has. Who knows, some of the postings there may help answer some questions you have.

Forgot to mention: never REALLY understood the actual date and time this was due. I live on Eastern Time, btw.
(T-minus 8 minutes till midnight as of this typing)
Well, seeing that the top 8 have already been announced, I guess it really is too late for me to upload my entry. I never really got to put the time I wanted into it, that I wanted to, so I figured I'd have some time Sunday to make more progress, but that didn't happen. Priorities, priorities, priorities. I have a feeling that even though it's about 15 secs, it covered a lot more bases in respect to the requirements of this contest, compared to the majority of uploads (not to say, they don't sound good in their own way). Unfortunately, I can't prove that point as the times up.
I wish the top ppl of this contest a fair experience. Hopefully next month'll be something I'll not only be suited to, but actually have more time to commit to participating in it. Happy Easter.
FLAC (or, Free Lossless Audio Codec) is something that has recently been on my mind for some time. I've heard about it as a audio filetype for a while but didn't think much about it. For the longest, I've always wondered if it'd be possible that Flash supports would support FLAC, 'cause as a NewGrounder first and a musician 2nd (should that be reversed?/puzzled), I always wondered why (not to say this goes towards ALL Flash works online) the audio, specifically the music, sounds lossy and low-quality.
Until I began noticing filesizes of the uploaded Flash games and videos, I had the notion that Flash simply diminishes the quality of audio. The math didn't seem to add up after seeing a Flash with a multi-Audio Portal submitted library, that definitely seemed like a fraction of the size if the songs were saved their normal audio quality. I could understand why the music/sounds were compressed, as to reduce loading times and such, but I personally find it annoying that after listening to the playback of a song in the Flash, and getting my ears nearly blasted clicking on a link to the original Audio Portal version.
This is where I began to ask myself: Is it possible that there is an audio filetype out there that can retain it's awesome full Audio Portal quality, while not having to be compressed to save disk space/reduce load times (like the eco-friendly light bulbs of today that could emit 60 watts, while only using up like 13 watts in reality)? After some searching across the, uh, internets--the answer appeared to be the open-source, non-proprietary codec, known as FLAC.
I've read that this filetype can retain the normal quality of an .mp3/.wav or similar codec while being 50 to 60 percent smaller than the equivalent. I thought that's a pretty good deal right there. I think if Flash does support FLAC, more Flash artists should use it (unless perhaps their Flash only has like 1 or 2 songs in all), so fans of the audio won't have to adjust their volume or briefly feel strange going from the Flash to the A.P. source. I'm sure this'll be most pleasing for everyone from the Flash artist to the sound/music maker to the viewers/players/listeners.
Even better yet, if the answer is yes, it would be great if NewGrounds either permits both an .mp3 and .flac version of audio submissions, or, have a built-in FLAC converter, that will have those who are especially interested in using the music in an NG Flash able to download a disk-space-conscious-yet-high-quality version!
I understand this is the Audio forum, but there are surely A.P. ppl out here that make their own Flashes as well.
...Might as well also be the death of social networking as we know it, too! I just found a notice in my e-mail inbox, about social web browser Flock kicking the bucket a few days from now.
It was a great browser, geared towards social networkers, and did it's job well. Share content fast across multiple social sites, receive updates from said sites all at once, or even just dedicate the browser to viewing one social website from all possible angles. It was great. I really didn't have any complaints with it, that I recall.
To date this is the only browser I've seen next to NetScape (revealing my age), to get Dreamcast'd (only I suspect the Flock staff will not be implementing their forward thinking skills towards their competitors in the end, but who knows?).
Will anyone else here miss it? Probably would've been sweet if NewGrounds was perceived as "social" enough to have its own place inside Flock's knitting.
If you've had this browser, please share your story, and if you like, which browser you'd pick in Flock's place as an awesome browser.

lol, I did make note of this link in one of my posts above, but I think ppl will have a better chance of seeing said link in your post, than in my wall of text there. :-D
I just hope that the new console, will not only have HDTV support, but also CD/DVD playback (even the Dreamcast of the previous generation could play CD audio).
I think with a lot of these rumors about how graphically and rapidly powerful this new machine is expected to be, Square-Enix may actually consider bringing the NUMBERED Final Fantasy series back to the world of Nintendo.
We may also finally see an actual port of Modern Warfare 2 for Nintendo as well.
In any event it looks like it's about that time anyway that we start seeing the return of some franchises that Nintendo's R&D departments have yet to Wii-lize (i.e. F-Zero, PilotWings (NOT just a port of that Resort thing), and StarFox). Hopefully we'll also see an improvement or two from the next Super Smash Bros. installment, that would bring back fans that were more fond of Melee than Brawl.
Let's just hope that if and when Nintendo does announce the Wii's successor, that it does not retail for more than say--"Five Hundred and Nintety-NIne Yoo Es Dollars (Six Hundred and Forty-Nine Canehdian)". It may not be pleasing to gamers if Nintendo actual keeps up what I think of as a "trend" of being initially the most expensive console in its generation (Microsoft's Xbox was most expensive console of its generation,Sony's PlayStation 3 was (and still IS) the most expensive console of its generation).
Postal is perhaps one of the few games of its type that appears not to have an actual story, aside from the closest being monologue entries by the titular character before the start of each level. Just shooting people really.
<I'm actually starting to feel some uber-delayed trauma of the screams and death animations I experienced, playing the demo over and over again at ten.>
